Alberto El Patron shows up for the first time in months. Alberto says he should be happy to be back, but there is something and he wants to give the fans a history lesson. He arrived at the beginning of the year, and since then, all he has heard is how amazing he is. After a lot of blood, sweat and tears for the company, the company then screwed and betrayed him. He says the boys in the bike have no cajones, and that they believed all the lies instead of sticking to the facts. Alberto says he did not do anything, but he was still suspended, and he lost everything. He calls Eli Drake a "paper champion," and says he is the real champ. Alberto goes on to say that the company did not care about his family. He even says that after he proved his innocence, the company did not even contact him. He then says that what is really wrong is what he is going to do here tonight. He says the company is full of cowards, losers and backstabbers, then says "What's up, JB?" to Jeremy Borash. He says that he thought he and JB were friends, and implies that even he did not even support him. Alberto approaches the commentary table as he speaks, and wants to know if he ever called him as Josh Mathews gets out of the way. Borash says he did not contact him, and he apologizes. Alberto extends his hand, and Borash shakes it. Alberto then says he is here to make a statement, and he starts that statement with Borash. He then keeps Borash from fleeing, then reconsiders hurting him. He then says that tonight is Bound For Glory, and that tonight is going to be amazing.

Before the next match, Abyss tells Grado not to listen to the fans as they are unable to help him and are not even American. He then says he smells fear, and asks what kind of man wears a fanny pack. He says that Grado isn't dancing now. Abyss tells him to dance. He dances, then kicks Abyss in the crotch.

Abyss beats Grado to expel Grado from America. It is announced during the match that Alberto El Patron is causing a disturbance in the back. During the match, Laurel Van Ness goes after Grado and is about to attack him with Janice when the lights go out. When they come back on, Rosemary is in the ring, and she spits mist into Laurel Van Ness' face. This leads to an awkward reunion between her and Abyss that nearly leads to Abyss choke slamming Rosemary until Rosemary is able to reason with him. Abyss grabs Grado, but when she spits the mist, Grado ducks and it hits Abyss instead. Grado goes for a schoolboy, but this leads to a very close near-fall. Abyss wins it with a Black Hole Slam into the barbed wire board, and as per pre-match stipulations, Grado is gone from America and from Impact Wrestling.

He has thought about what to do every day leading up to Bound For Glory, and says sending him into the ring boards was a mistake. Johnny says he has sacrificed everything to get here, and he has two heroes: "Macho Man" Randy Savage and his dad. He has thought about what his father would say when he gets home, which will probably be "It's never too late to go to law school." Tonight, when he leaves as champion, sacrifices will pay off.

During the match, it is announced that Eddie Edwards has asked for a match against El Hijo del Fantasma with the GHC Heavyweight title on the line next week on Impact Wrestling.
