Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for June 21, 2025

Dustin Starr interviews Sycho Simon at the announce desk. He says "The GunShow" Brett Michaels may have been Superman, but he is Kryptonite. He then dares some fans to get in the ring with him. He says that the rulebook is out of the window not that he is champion, then says anyone crazy enough to walk down the aisle today will get a spike to the face.



Backstage, Crazzy Steve is met by "The Gift" Ray Sanders. Steve tells Sanders he will have to wait and find out to see what he is up to.



The Slaughterhouse (Nasty Nick and Jagged James) beat The Twins of Salem (Jackson Crowley and Abel Booker). After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Ash Taylor and The Slaughterhouse. Ash Taylor says that everyone else is nothing more than slabs of meat that will be torn apart.



Wonderboy beats J. Webb by disqualification after J. Webb chokes Wonderboy on the ropes and refuses to let go before the referee's five count. After the match, The Shocker pulls J. Webb off of Wonderboy, and J. Webb backs down.



Dustin Starr interviews Oso and Vashawn Harvey. Oso says Vashawn Harvey will make history when he becomes the inaugural Junior Heritage Champion, then calls out Colton Cage for a business proposition. Colton Cage shows up, then Oso mentions Colton's leg injury and asks him how much money he wants. Colton refuses to be paid off and attacks Vashawn Harvey, then leaves.



"Main Event" Bradley beats Kale and CJ Blaine in a Triple Threat Match to become #1 contender for the Memphis Wrestling Junior Heritage Championship after CJ Money and Momma Money show up and distract CJ Blaine.



Backstage, Jake Brewer interviews Matchmaker King Cobra, who makes a match between The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamonte) and The Bizness Dawgs (Tim Grind and Lil' Homie) next week.

Dustin Starr interviews CJ Blaine at the announce desk. He says it is time to get even and that he has friends in wrestling, and that he has back-up against CJ Money and Momma Money.



We see a vignette for a new wrestler who has come from the United States Army.

Dustin Starr interviews The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamonte) at the announce desk. Lamonte says that The Bizness Dawgs have forgotten what they did to Flex, then brings in someone to counter Xya Wolfe: Memphis legend Reggie B. Fine. Reggie says The L.A. Hustlers should have called him a long time ago and that he is taking them to the top, then tells Maria Starr to drop Dustin and get with him.



Sycho Simon retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship in a No Rules match against Crazzy Steve after elbow dropping Crazzy Steve through a table.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for June 14, 2025

In backstage footage from earlier today, we see "The Problem" Aaron Roberts attacking and threatening Marko "Hangtime" Harris as officials and security try to restore order. It takes Justin Case to calm Aaron Roberts down.



Matchmaker King Cobra suddenly shows up. He gets the show started with a match and says that he will have an update on today's main event.



We see footage of Jazz coaching at the WrestleCenter.

CJ Blaine, Kale and "Main Event" Bradley beat "The Gift" Ray Sanders, The Shocker and CJ Money in a six-man tag match to face each other in a Triple Threat Match to decide the inaugural Junior Heritage Champion next week. This happens after Bradley drives Kale head-first into the mat before getting the pin and the win for his team.



Dustin Starr has an unscheduled interview with Marko "Hangtime" Harris at the announce desk. Marko says that if Aaron Roberts is "The Problem," then he is "the solution," and demands that Matchmaker King Cobra make their match official.

As Makkari Kandy fills up her candy bowl, Wonderboy shows up and congratulates her on her recent victory before the two of them hug. When Wonderboy leaves, J. Webb shows up and shakes his head.



Tim Bosby beats "The Gold Standard" Eli Knox by submission with the ankle lock.



Sycho Simon is interviewed backstage. Simon grabs the microphone and says that the rules are out the window, because when he beat "The GunShow" Brett Michaels for the Heritage title, he makes the rules.



Dustin Starr interviews The Bizzness Dawgs (Tim Grind, Lil' Homie, Xya Wolfe) at the announce desk. Tim Grind warns The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamonte) that they are coming for them and that they accepted their challenge a long time ago. Lil' Homie says that before he and Tim Grind take care of business with The L.A. Hustlers, Xya Wolfe will take care of business in the ring right now.



Nixi XS beats Xya Wolfe with a DDT to send a message to Diana Taylor. During the match, The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamonte) attack Tim Grind and Lil' Homie at ringside, and their brawl goes to the back. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Nixi XS at the announce desk. Nixi says that Diana Taylor is crying in pain and says that she warned her, and says it is Diana's fault if she cannot show up to defend her title just like she defends hers. Nixi says that until Diana can meet her eye-to-eye and face-to-face in the ring, she will never be the real Memphis Women's Champion.



"The Gift" Ray Sanders meets with The Shocker at the snack bar, then The Shocker leaves and Ray Sandersis met by Oso and Vashawn Harvey. Oso says Vashawn will be the Junior Heritage Champion, then wishes Ray Sanders luck as they both leave.



Marko "Hangtime" Harris beats "The Problem" Aaron Roberts after missing a second Problem Bomb when he points at Pete Pranica in the corner.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for May 24, 2025

Vashawn Harvey beats "The Gift" Ray Sanders in the first round of the Junior Heritage Championship Tournament after Oso gets on the apron and distracts both Sanders and the referee, which allows Oso to throws a chain to Vashawn so he can knock Sanders out and advance. After the match, Vashawn and Oso celebrate, cementing Vashawn as one of Oso's clients.



The Shocker beats CJ Money in the first round of the Junior Heritage Championship Tournament after Mama Money tries to hit The Shocker with one of her shoes only to inadvertently hit CJ Money instead.



We see footage of Scorpio Sky teaching at the WrestleCenter.

We hear from The Hollywood Clique ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Ray Collins, Jay Smooth, Secret Service). Jimmy Blaylock states that they mean business and that he does not care what they have to do, as there will be no peace in Memphis Wrestling until they get what they want. He does not care if anyone has to die, and he promises that they will take the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships regardless of what they have to do or when they have to do it.



Colton Cage beats Kale in the first round of the Junior Heritage Championship Tournament.



In backstage footage from last week, Wonderboy says he tried his hardest and could have done, but he lost against Mike Anthony. Suddenly, The Shocker shows up to bring Wonderboy back up, and Wonderboy thanks him for repaying the favor. He tells The Shocker they should stick together for justice as well as the fans.



"Main Event" Bradley beats CJ Blaine in the first round of the Junior Heritage Championship Tournament after getting the knees up to block a splash from the top rope. When CJ Blaine heads to the ring, he is holding his ribs as if he had been attacked backstage.



We see a video package chronicling the feud between The Righteous Path (Brother Bruce, Marrow, Sister Asa) and The Slaughterhouse (Reverend Ash Taylor, "Jagged" James Dean, "Nasty" Nick James).



We hear from Sycho Simon, who continues to drag an axe across the ground as he threatens violence on Memphis Wrestling again. We find out that Sycho Simon returns next week.



We see a video package for "The GunShow" Brett Michaels, who returns next week.



Diana Taylor retains the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship against Su Yung by disqualification after Su Yung throws a metal folding chair at Diana Taylor as Diana has a chair of her own in her hands on the top rope only for the referee to take Diana's chair away. After the match, Su Yung spits red mist into Diana's face, and two referees have to stop Su Yung from hitting Diana with a Con-Chair-To. Diana Taylor receives medical assistance as the show ends.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for March 22, 2025

We see footage of "The Wanted Man" Nic Nemeth talking to the crowd after last week's show, thanking the fans for supporting the up-and-comers on the Memphis Wrestling rosters and calling it an honor to wrestle in Memphis Wrestling.



Outside of the WrestleCenter this morning, Tim Bosby is sitting on the steps when a white GMC truck appears. King Cobra comes out of it, and Bosby says he needs a rematch with Marko Harris.



Dustin Starr interviews Mike Anthony at the announce desk. He says that the mission was to surpass Tim Bosby, and he has done just that, then declares himself the standard of the Internet Championship and that the door is wide open.

Mike Anthony retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against Kale.



"The Gift" Ray Sanders beats Vashawn Harvey.



Dustin Starr interviews Matchmaker King Cobra at the announce desk. King Cobra announces that the rematch between Tim Bosby and Marko Harris will be happening today.



We hear from "Main Event" Bradley, who takes sole credit for winning the tag team and trios titles and blames the family members around him for losing them while simultaneously claiming that they are dragging him down, then says he took the trash out with Big Nasty Phil, who he says is never coming back. Bradley says that he will prove that he is the main event, then it is announced that Bradley will be in action next week.



Backstage, Terrence Ward is talking with "The GunShow" Brett Michaels when Justin Case and "The Chosen One" Zay Washington show up. Washington says GunShow has been handed everything and declares himself GunShow's new problem. Justin Case tells GunShow that he will face Washington next week.



Diana Taylor beats KJ Rockett. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Diana Taylor, who says that Nixi XS has her attention and that she is getting a DDT.



Tim Bosby vs. Marko Harris ends in a TV time limit draw as Bosby has Harris in the ankle lock in the middle of the ring, which Harris refuses to submit to.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for February 1, 2025

Dustin Starr interviews "The GunShow" Brett Michaels at the announce desk. The GunShow tells "The Problem" Aaron Roberts that his time is coming and that he can hear it now: "Tick, tick, boom." The New Wave (Justin Case, "The Chosen One" Zay Washington, Denzel Rollins) shows up, with Aaron Roberts conspicuously absent yet again. Justin Case says they are not worried about SuperBout, as GunShow will not make it there, and demands GunShow get in the ring with Zay Washington. GunShow says that "If it takes beating one Yung GOAT to get to the other...get your ass in the ring."

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels beats "The Chosen One" Zay Washington despite the distraction and interference by Denzel Rollins and the use of a foreign object to the back of GunShow's knee by Washington.



Dustin Starr interviews The Righteous Path ("Reverend" Ash Taylor, Brother Bruce, Marrow, Sister Asa). Reverend Ash Taylor says he is sick and tired of being sick and tired of Barnabas and The Twins of Salem (Jacksyn Crowley and Abel Booker), as they desecrate and defile his "RighteousCenter." He says he only wanted to save Memphis Wrestling and its fans, but everyone is ungrateful and pathetic and understand nothing that he is doing for them and would rather cheer for Barnabas. He tells Barnabas that if he wants to bring his sideshow freaks into his family's path, then they can finally square off at SuperBout. Ash Taylor says he has gotten in his family's way and put his hands on them for the very last time, and when all is said and done, Barnabas and the fans will finally understand that they will walk the righteous path or be buried six feet under it.



We hear from K-Toomer, who says that he cost AJ Francis his match with Big John Dalton is because he wanted to, and if AJ Francis has a problem, he can meet him at SuperBout so he can show him what he is all about.



King Cobra shows up with the Cobra Cub before the next match.

Tim Bosby beats Vashawn Harvey, CJ Blaine and The Shocker in the Red Match of the Cobra Cup Tournament to advance to the finals.



We hear from Derrick King, who says that their match is going to happen and that they will meet one-on-one. He says that Sycho Simon ruined what he worked for for thirty years and that he will stick his foot down his throat very, very soon.



Backstage, a panicked "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock tells the rest of The Hollywood Clique (Ray Collins, Jay Smooth, Secret Service) that Van Viciouss is making false allegations against him. Ray Collins tells Blaylock that he will handle this.



Gio Savage beats Sevyn Cruz. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Gio Savage at the announce desk. Gio says he thought he cut the dead weight in Draco, but Draco still wants to linger around. He says there is no more half-stepping or second chances, and that at SuperBout, he will be "The Dragon Slayer.



King Cobra brings out the Cobra Cup again, this time for the Blue Match of the tournament.

Marko Harris beats "The Walking Red Flag" Colton Cage, Kale and J. Webb in the Blue Match of the Cobra Cup Tournament to advance to the finals and face Tim Bosby for the Cobra Cup at SuperBout.



In backstage footage from earlier today, CJ Money's mother wants Terrence Ward to tell her why CJ Money is not in the Cobra Cup, saying he is the best wrestler here. Terrence Ward agrees, then says he will speak with King Cobra but cannot guarantee an answer. He then appreciate CJ Money's mother sticking up for him and promises to put more emphasis on his introduction, which CJ Money's mother appreciates.



The Backseat Boyz (JP and Tommy Grayson) retain the Juggalo Championship Wrestling Tag Team Championships against Main Event Bradley and Big Nasty Phil after Violent J punches Phil out when Phil brings one of the tag team titles into the ring only for referee David Knight to take it away and put it back.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for January 18, 2025

Dustin Starr interviews "The GunShow" Brett Michaels at the announce desk. GunShow tells "The Problem" Aaron Roberts that just when he thought he was done with him, it has only just begun. All of a sudden, Vashawn Harvey shows up. Vashawn tosses his sunglasses to The GunShow, who then says "I'll be right back."

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels quickly beats Vashawn Harvey. After the match, The GunShow continues with his interview, but is interrupted again, this time by The New Wave (Justin Case, "The Chosen One" Jay Washington, Denzel Rollins). "The Problem" Aaron Roberts is conspicuous by his absence, and Justin Case says Roberts shows up when he wants to and does not want to be here right now. Justin Case says GunShow will not make it to the title shot that he earned and that he will have to fight his way to it. GunShow looks at Washington and Rollins and tells them "Why don't you two goofs get your ass in the ring?" Justin Case holds Washington and Rollins back, saying it will be on their time.



Dustin Starr interviews Van Viciouss at the announce desk. Van Viciouss says he is here today for one reason: he wants "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock. The Hollywood Clique shows up, and Viciouss calls Blaylock "a Twinkie eating con-artist," saying he owes him a bounced check. Blaylock says this is not the time or the place, but Viciouss says it is and that Blaylock has taken too much from him. Blaylock tells him not to make false accusations in public and chalks this up to jealousy towards his success. Blaylock says Viciouss never won a match and that Ray Collins is better than him in every way, but Vicious calls Collins a fake and warns him that he is being led by someone with bad intentions. He then tells Jay Smooth, who he initially says he has nothing again, to wake up and punches him. The numbers game soon takes over, and this leads to a match between Jay Smooth and Van Viciouss as soon as Matchmaker King Cobra shows up with a referee.

Van Viciouss beats Jay Smooth by submission with a Cobra Clutch after clobbering "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock's Secret Service agents when they get on the ring apron.



We see footage of Violent J with the fans at the WrestleCenter. Afterwards, Dustin Starr interviews Violent J at the announce desk. Violent J says the honor is all his and calls Memphis Wrestling one of the most honorable promotions, then talks about his Commissioner position in Juggalo Championship Wrestling, and wants to be affiliated with Memphis Wrestling, saying it is the place to be. Violent J says Shaggy 2 Dope may not be here right now, but he and Dustin Starr can get in the ring and throw down a concert right now. Suddenly, Main Event Bradley and Big Nasty Phil show up. Main Event Bradley says Big Nasty Phil was a big Insane Clown Posse fan until a Juggalo bit his pinky off, then threatens to honk Violent J nose before heading to the ring for the next match. Violent J guests on commentary for the next match.





Main Event Bradley and Big Nasty Phil beat Kale and James Curtis. After the match, Violent J says he is bringing in the Juggalo Championship Wrestling Tag Team Champions to deal with Bradley and Phil.



Backstage, CJ Money's mother complains about the lack of CJ Money merchandise, and says that CJ Blaine is "irrelevant" and deserves to go in the trash.



Dustin Starr interviews Ray Ray Sanders at the announce desk. He says he knew Sycho Simon would attack Derrick King at his retirement ceremony, and after Simon attacked him from behind at the Grind City Rumble, he is done playing games. He calls Simon out, and tells him to face him like a man right now.Simon shows up with a metal folding chair, and swings it at him only for Sanders to duck and hit him with a springboard punch. Sanders then grabs the chair and hits Simon in the back with it a few times, but Simon gets the upper hand on the outside. Simon then powerbombs Sanders onto the ring apron before grabbing a table from backstage. Two referees show up to tell him not to do this before Derrick King suddenly shows up, much to Simon's surprise. Derrick and Simon get in the ring, and Derrick hits Simon with the Superkick. After the commercial break, Dustin Starr interviews Derrick King at the announce desk. Derrick says it is good to be back, and he warns Sycho Simon that he is coming back not to wrestle, but to fight, and at SuperBout, he is going to kick Simon's teeth down his throat.



Outside of the WrestleCenter, Big John Dalton sees a limousine pull up. AJ Francis returns next week.



Dustin Starr interviews Kerry Morton at the announce desk. Kerry says he is excited to be here after wrestling all over the world, and says that Tennessee always speaks to him. He says he came to Memphis Wrestling to see what it is all about, and describes it as "electric." He says he could go on and on about his father Ricky Morton's accolades and how he did it for the fans, then talks about how he represents the South, the NWA and Juggalo Championship Wrestling, he is proud to represent Memphis Wrestling. Kerry says he wants to see what Memphis has to offer and wants to know who is the very best and willing to step up and answer his challenge. Mike Anthony shows up, and Kerry Morton challenges him to a match for the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship. Mike Anthony says Kerry asked for the best and got "The MVP," then accepts the challenge. Kerry Morton then kicks Mike Anthony in the groin and holds up the Internet Championship.

Mike Anthony retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against Kerry Morton after countering the running knee from the corner with a victory roll.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for December 7, 2024

Dustin Starr interviews "The GunShow" Brett Michaels at the announce desk. GunShow says that "The Problem" Aaron Roberts is running around signing contracts, but keeps ducking the contract for the Heritage title match at Milestone 200. He says he has signed, but Roberts is ducking him, and now, he is going to handle business with Matchmaker King Cobra. King Cobra says he has done everything he can and does not know what else to do, and states there is no stipulation that he says can force Roberts to sign. King Cobra says he can suspend Roberts, but GunShow would have to fight his way from the bottom up again. Roberts says he will defend the title when he feels like it and that he has better things to do, and GunShow says either Roberts will sign the contract, or he will make him sign it.



Backstage, Diana Taylor meets with Makkari Kandy and J. Webb, saying they have a big match today.



The Righteous Path (Brother Bruce and Marrow) beats The Twins of Salem (Jacksyn Crowley and Abel Booker) after Sister Asa distracts Jacksyn Crowley in the corner.

We see footage of Big John Dalton training for the Grind City Rumble.



We hear from Colton Cage, who says it is a beautiful day to be a beautiful day and that he is ready for action today.

Dustin Starr interviews Butterbean at the announce desk. Butterbean says Memphis is "where real wrestling started" and talks about the Jake Paul/Mike Tyson fight, saying it was "more of a punching bag match." As he claims that Jake Paul refuses to fight him, "Main Event" Bradley - dressed like Butterbean - and Big Nasty Phil show up. Bradley says Butterbean may be a legend, but there are three men he cannot knock out - Mike Tyson, Jake Paul, and himself. Bradley says that he is coming for Butterbean and knows that he can put him on the ground, then Big John Dalton shows up for the next match. Butterbean guests on commentary.



Big John Dalton beats "Main Event" Bradley after Bradley confronts Butterbean at the announce desk only to get knocked out.



The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont) beat CJ Squared (CJ Money and CJ Blaine). After the match, Dustin Starr interviews The L.A. Hustlers at the announce desk, demanding that they leave the tag team titles at the desk. They refuse, claiming to have beaten Too Kool II (Tim Grind and Flex) and shoving Dustin before Too Kool II show up and start a brawl. Referees, officials and even Matchmaker King Cobra show up to break up the brawl, and King Cobra makes a Hustle Hard match between the two teams for Milestone 200 before confiscating the tag team titles, which will be on the line for the match.



Colton Cage beats Kale. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Colton Cage at the announce desk. Colton says he has put another soul down with Cupid's Arrow, then says it was more than a victory; it was a statement. He then says he is ready for the Grind City Rumble.



Backstage, we hear from Tim Bosby, who says that he watched Jonathan Gresham's matches with Zack Sabre Jr. as he was coming up and that he will give Gresham everything has while knowing Gresham will give him even more. He says that he is focused not just on Gresham, but the Grind City Rumble, which he plans to win.



Nixi XS and C-Rex beat Diana Taylor and Makkari Kandy.
