Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for February 1, 2025

Dustin Starr interviews "The GunShow" Brett Michaels at the announce desk. The GunShow tells "The Problem" Aaron Roberts that his time is coming and that he can hear it now: "Tick, tick, boom." The New Wave (Justin Case, "The Chosen One" Zay Washington, Denzel Rollins) shows up, with Aaron Roberts conspicuously absent yet again. Justin Case says they are not worried about SuperBout, as GunShow will not make it there, and demands GunShow get in the ring with Zay Washington. GunShow says that "If it takes beating one Yung GOAT to get to the other...get your ass in the ring."

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels beats "The Chosen One" Zay Washington despite the distraction and interference by Denzel Rollins and the use of a foreign object to the back of GunShow's knee by Washington.

Dustin Starr interviews The Righteous Path ("Reverend" Ash Taylor, Brother Bruce, Marrow, Sister Asa). Reverend Ash Taylor says he is sick and tired of being sick and tired of Barnabas and The Twins of Salem (Jacksyn Crowley and Abel Booker), as they desecrate and defile his "RighteousCenter." He says he only wanted to save Memphis Wrestling and its fans, but everyone is ungrateful and pathetic and understand nothing that he is doing for them and would rather cheer for Barnabas. He tells Barnabas that if he wants to bring his sideshow freaks into his family's path, then they can finally square off at SuperBout. Ash Taylor says he has gotten in his family's way and put his hands on them for the very last time, and when all is said and done, Barnabas and the fans will finally understand that they will walk the righteous path or be buried six feet under it.

We hear from K-Toomer, who says that he cost AJ Francis his match with Big John Dalton is because he wanted to, and if AJ Francis has a problem, he can meet him at SuperBout so he can show him what he is all about.

King Cobra shows up with the Cobra Cub before the next match.

Tim Bosby beats Vashawn Harvey, CJ Blaine and The Shocker in the Red Match of the Cobra Cup Tournament to advance to the finals.

We hear from Derrick King, who says that their match is going to happen and that they will meet one-on-one. He says that Sycho Simon ruined what he worked for for thirty years and that he will stick his foot down his throat very, very soon.

Backstage, a panicked "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock tells the rest of The Hollywood Clique (Ray Collins, Jay Smooth, Secret Service) that Van Viciouss is making false allegations against him. Ray Collins tells Blaylock that he will handle this.

Gio Savage beats Sevyn Cruz. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Gio Savage at the announce desk. Gio says he thought he cut the dead weight in Draco, but Draco still wants to linger around. He says there is no more half-stepping or second chances, and that at SuperBout, he will be "The Dragon Slayer.

King Cobra brings out the Cobra Cup again, this time for the Blue Match of the tournament.

Marko Harris beats "The Walking Red Flag" Colton Cage, Kale and J. Webb in the Blue Match of the Cobra Cup Tournament to advance to the finals and face Tim Bosby for the Cobra Cup at SuperBout.

In backstage footage from earlier today, CJ Money's mother wants Terrence Ward to tell her why CJ Money is not in the Cobra Cup, saying he is the best wrestler here. Terrence Ward agrees, then says he will speak with King Cobra but cannot guarantee an answer. He then appreciate CJ Money's mother sticking up for him and promises to put more emphasis on his introduction, which CJ Money's mother appreciates.

The Backseat Boys (JP and Tommy Grayson) retain the Juggalo Championship Wrestling Tag Team Championships against Main Event Bradley and Big Nasty Phil after Violent J punches Phil out when Phil brings one of the tag team titles into the ring only for referee David Knight to take it away and put it back.
