Generation NXT - NXT recap for February 4, 2025

Stephanie Vaquer beats Jacy Jayne.

Backstage, Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson argue with Zaria and Sol Ruca after Zaria makes fun of Lash for not bringing the women's tag titles to NXT and failing to eliminate anyone in the women's Royal Rumble. Suddenly, Shotzi, Tatum Paxley and Gigi Dolin appear and want Zaria and Sol Ruca to step up, with Paxley says it is easy to talk and Gigi saying that Zaria has an attitude problem.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Oba Femi. Oba says General Manger Ava may make the matches, but he controls what goes on in the ring, and he will prove A-Town Down Under do not belong in the ring with him. Oba also says he does not owe Trick Williams anything and that he will see him in the ring.

Lexis King is in the ring. Lexis King talks about and says he does take advice, especially from "the biggest failure in the NFL" Brian Lee, and says that he has played by the beat of his own drum and his own rules. He then reveals that his plan to play by the rules was all a ruse, and says that "his blood does not run with that of a normie." Lexis King then takes pride in being the son of Brian Pillman, then says he never asked for this and that he never even knew his father. Lexis then says his father was a loose cannon would do anything to win, and while he had potential, he never reached it. He says that he is his father's son and that he will not change, as he will stay true to who he is. He declares that the Heritage Cup has been mistreated for far too long, and proclaims that as champion, he will change the way that the title will be defended. He gets rid of the round system, the time limits and the cornermen and makes it "one fall, winner take all." All of a sudden, JDC - now back in his Fandango gimmick - shows up, and after thanking the fans for the warm reception, makes fun of Lexis King's beard, reintroduces himself as JDC and represents The System (Eddie Edwards, Alisha Edwards, Brian Myers, Moose, JDC). He says The System is always looking for gold for their trophy case and that he would not mind drinking from the Heritage Cup, then announces that Lexis will defend the Heritage Cup against him next week. Lexis King accepts his challenge and says that the two of them will dance.

As The D'Angelo Family (Tony D'Angelo, Channing "Stacks" Lorezno, Luca Crusifino, Adrianna Rizzo) watch Wild Cards backstage, everyone gives D'Angelo props for getting a role on television before Stacks complains about D'Angelo not being there for them last week, saying that D'Angelo was talking to Izzi Dame about the show while he failed to be at ringside last week. D'Angelo complains, then Stacks says he is just "breaking his balls." D'Angelo tells Stacks to focus on Ridge Holland tonight instead of breaking his balls.

Ridge Holland beats Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo. During the match, Shawn Spears, Brooks Jensen and Niko Vance are seen watching from the balcony. Later on in the match, Izzi Dame shows up and briefly distracts Ridge, but Ridge is able to hit Stacks with the Redeemer for the win.

Backstage, Nathan Frazer and Axiom are met by Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura. Briggs gives them credit for being smart enough to know that if they squared off, it would be a one-sided beatdown. Frazer mentions having a title defense against Nic and Ryan Nemeth on TNA iMPACT!, then says that after the match, they will talk.

Sol Ruca and Zaria beat Tatum Paxley and Gigi Dolin.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Trick Williams. Trick says he has yet to see Oba Femi tonight, but he plans to show why he should have gotten an NXT Championship shot and drop A-Town Down Under before giving Oba Femi his receipt.

Bayley heads to the ring. Shortly afterwards, Roxanne Perez also heads to the ring. Before Giulia is introduces, Roxanne Perez brags about spending the longest amount of time in the women's Royal Rumble, breaking Bayley's record and eliminating Giulia. Roxanne accuses Bayley of coming to NXT to take its Women's Championship, then declares that she is going for all of the women's gold. She admits her younger self would freak out being in front of Bayley, but says that her heroes only want to keep her from surpassing them.Bayley says that she wants Roxanne surpass her and that she helped build NXT, then says that when Roxanne lost the NXT Women's Championship, she lost her mind, and that she might lose her best friend, too. She says she will be fine if she does not win championship gold, then asks if Roxanne will also turn out alright. Roxanne says that she is the best in WWE right now and has no equal, and says that she will win back the NXT Women's Championship before winning the women's titles on the main roster, and that Cora Jade might just win a championship if she vacates the NXT title. Giulia shows up and tells Roxanne that she is nothing without a title, then tells Bayley that she will beat her, too. She then says that at Vengeance Day, only one of them will survive The Beautiful Madness. Suddenly, Charlotte Flair shows up. Charlotte declares that NXT will always be her home and talks about how she picked NXT last time she won the women's Royal Rumble and won its championship. She congratulates Roxanne on her time record, but threatens to make her runner-up again. Charlotte congratulates Giulia on being NXT Women's Champion, then declares she is better. After Charlotte says that she will win whichever title she picks, Bayley is attacked from behind by Cora Jade with a shinai, as is Giulia. Cora swings at Roxanne, who flees.

Backstage, General Manager Ava, "All Ego" Ethan Page and Je'Von Evans are surrounded by security. Ava suspends Je'Von Evans, but Page wants Je'Von punished with a match with him. Ava decides this is a good idea, and makes the match official if and only if Je'Von is medically cleared.

Backstage, Josh Briggs meets with Hank Walker and Tank Ledger, and set up a tag team match with them. Meanwhile, Ridge Holland meets with Tony D'Angelo, and says that if they can get a true one-on-one match, he can take the North American title, and says he does not trust everyone watching his every move, including Shawn Spears, Brooks Jensen and Niko Vance. Izzi Dame proposes handling their business in a steel cage, which both men agree is a good idea.

Kelani Jordan beats Karmen Petrovic by submission with a sleeper...almost. During the match, Jaida Parker shows up and briefly distracts Kelani, then guests on commentary for the rest of the match. At the end of the match, Kelani hits a spinning Angle Slam, the One of a Kind moonsault not once, but twice, then beats Petrovic with a sleeper. After the match, Kelani puts Karmen in another sleeper, and that causes the referee to reverse the decision and award the victory to Karmen Petrovic. Karmen Petrovic beats Kelani Jordan by reverse decision.

Backstage, Stephanie Vaquer says she gone through everthing in her path and that "the eyes of the dark angel" are on the Women's North American Championship. She says she is here to be champion, and that nobody will help Fallon Henley when she sees her in Hell.

Backstage, General Manager Ava is met by Bayley, who wants Cora Jade. Bayley leaves, and Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura show up with different teams they want to face off with. Ava makes a triple threat tag team match for next week.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews A-Town Down Under (Grayson Waller and Austin Theory). Grayson says they run WWE, and Theory says they check all the boxes and cannot be denied. When Grayson says that he will be the new NXT Champion, Theory tells Grayson he had better be real about it, and Grayson says there will be a new NXT Champion.

A-Town Down Under (Grayson Waller and Austin Theory) beats Oba Femi and Trick Williams after Trick Williams is struck from behind on the outside with a leather strap by Eddy Thorpe on the outside. After the match, Eddy Thorpe and Oba Femi have a staredown, then Oba Femi walks away. Eddy continues to smack Trick with the leather strap, and swings at the referees when they show up.
