Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for June 29, 2024

Dustin Starr interviews Tim Bosby at the announce desk. Bosby says that at Championship Saturday, "The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts cheated him even after he made him tap out in the middle of the ring, then says he knows Roberts is here today and that he wants one more match. He also says that Roberts is nothing more than an egg-sucking dog, to which the fans agree, and demands Roberts accept the challenge, even asking for Matchmaker King Cobra and Assistant Matchmaker Michael to make the match official. Matchmaker King Cobra shows up and says he has some good news and bad news. The good news is that he has a contract for the championship match today, but the bad news is that in order to get the signature, Bosby has to put his Memphis Wrestling contract. If Bosby wins, he is the champion again, but if he loses, he is gone from Memphis Wrestling. Bosby says that if this is what it takes, then he is on, as Roberts started this and he will end this and become a three-time champion.



Backstage, Big John Dalton is met by Coach Miller, who reminds him that all of the dirtsheets are talking about him and that he has gotten Memphis Wrestling a lot of views, and that he must keep the momentum going. He tells Big John Dalton that he should challenge for the Internet Championship, which Big John thinks is a good idea. Big John leaves to challenge for the Internet Championship.



Denzel Rollins beats Kirk Swiss with the Dismem-Bar.



Before the next match, Lord Gaston shows up with Sir Matthew with a cast on his right foot and a crutch.

Sir Matthew beats Tim Grind after Sir Matthew shoves Flex on the outside to distract the referee, which allows Lord Gaston to hit Tim Grind with his crutch to help Sir Matthew win. After the match, Tim Grind chases Lord Gaston to the back, and it becomes obvious that Gaston is not injured.



Backstage, "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock is on the phone with Van Viciouss, saying that the person he wants is at the bottom of the barrel and that he wants to help him out. Suddenly, one of the Secret Service agents tells him that everything is good to go.



"DDT" Diana Taylor beats Tootie Lynn after Tootie Lynn kicks the candy out of Makkari Kandy's hand, allowing Diana to get Tootie back into the ring for the DDT and the win.

"Main Event" Brad Skimahorn and Big Nasty Phil beat Steele Cross (Ethan Steele and Alex Cross) after Main Event Bradley hits Alex Cross with a foreign object from the ring apron.



Backstage, Assistant Matchmaker Michael is worried about Tim Bosby putting his Memphis Wrestling contract on the line. Matchmaker King Cobra says he trained Tim Bosby and knows he can get the job done. Meanwhile, J. Webb is spying on them.

We see images of sky, grass and a bonfire. "Reverend" Ash Taylor stands in front of this bonfire with Brother Bruce and Marrow, then points forward. Ash Taylor carries a red shinai in his hand, then Brother Bruce braces himself against a fence and takes lashes from it. Marrow also takes the same punishment. While Brother Bruce thanks Ash Taylor, Marrow simply laughs. Afterwards, Ash Taylor raises the shinai into the air.



Dustin Starr interviews Mackenzie Morgan at the announce desk. Mackenzie says that he loves the fans and that they are her world, and while she is in a world of war, she chooses peace, and she is a fighter for the fans. She says that she is the sound of his mother's scream and the message of his father's whisper as she conquers anything in her way. As for what is next, what happens happens, and she wants to be the fans' favorite. All of a sudden, an unknown female wrestler shows up, and she introduces herself to Mackenzie by punching her in the face. After another punch to the face, she gets Mackenzie in the ring and hits her with a Michinoku Driver before caressing her face. She then hits Mackenzie with a leg drop as security is at the ring. The mystery woman then makes it clear that she wants the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship.



Tim Bosby beats "The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts to become Memphis Wrestling Internet Champion for a third time despite a pre-bell attack with the championship belt by Roberts and constant referee distraction by Justin Case after Bosby ducks a championship belt shot by Roberts, which hits Justin Case and knocks him off the ring apron. This allows Bosby to lock in the ankle lock and grapevine it, and without Justin Case on the ring apron to distract the referee again, Aaron Roberts has no choice but to tap out. (Had Tim Bosby lost, he would have been gone from Memphis Wrestling.)

Brighton Brawl 2 - The Results

Note: The matches here are listed in order of video upload and are not indicative of the order in which they actually took place during the show.

Before the next match, Van Viciouss demands that the fans stand up and give him the proper respect. He then says he has "a loser" in the back that he will slap around to show everyone who runs Memphis Wrestling before demanding his opponent be brought out.

"All The Way" Ray Collins beats Van Viciouss with an inside cradle.



Before the next match, Reverend Ash Taylor asks who would donate money to a "worthless baseball team" when they could donate to his collection plate. Brother Bruce agrees, but the fans do not. He also says that Brother Bruce will only have this match if Big John Dalton agrees to join his flock, no questions asked. When Big John Dalton makes it to the ring, Dalton says he is not worried about that, because he will kick Ash Taylor's butt tonight.

Big John Dalton and Waldo beat The Righteous Path (Reverend Ash Taylor and Brother Bruce). During the match, Reverend Ash Taylor gets on the apron and distracts Big John Dalton, and when Dalton grabs him, Brother Bruce tries to attack Dalton only for Dalton to duck so Bruce hits Taylor instead. Big John Dalton then goes up to Dustin Starr and asks to make this a tag team match, which Dustin Starr makes official, then picks Waldo - a guy with long hair who is dressed like Waldo from "Where's Waldo?" - out of the crowd for his tag team partner. (Had Big John Dalton lost, he would have had to join The Righteous Path.)



Before the next match, Matt Williams asks why they are in Brighton, Tennessee when Arkansas have a better football team, then says that his daughters are better at softball than the school's girl's softball team. Tim Bosby shows up and states that he takes offense to what Matt Williams just said, then brings out Coach Wallace, who has also taken offense to what he has just said.

Tim Bosby retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against Matt Williams. During the match, Bosby takes down both Williams and Storybook Prince Gaston, who distracts the referee so that Williams can hit Bosby with a low blow. Coach Wallace gets in the ring and hits Storybook Prince Gaston with his own storybook, allowing Bosby to get the win and retain the title. After the match, Coach Wallace gives Gaston the Stunner and pins him for the three-count.



Before the next match, Simon says he has a special gift for "The GunShow" Brett Michaels: Will the Thrill. All of a sudden, a young man with Posse facepaint shows up and teams with Simon. Brett Michaels says he did not come alone either and that he has kinfolk in Brighton, Tennessee, then brings out a young man named Noah from the baseball team shows up in Brett's corner.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship against Simon. Near the end of the match, Simon and Brett Michaels both hit the referee as they both try to hit each other, and Noah taks out Will the Thrill in the middle of the ring before Brett Michaels hits the GunShow Lariat on Simon to retain. After the match, Will the Thrill shakes hands with Noah and Brett Michaels after Simon yells at Will.



Mackenize Morgan retains the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship against "The Goddess of the Night" Nyxx after Nyxx tries to walk out of the match only to be outnumbered by the Brighton girl's softball team.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for September 2, 2023

Memphis Wrestling welcomes the viewing audience of Action News 5 Plus at the start of the show.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship against Van Viciouss despite Viciouss shoving him into the referee and hitting Brett in the face with "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock's cane. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Brett Michaels at the announce desk. Brett Michaels introduces WMC-TV to the GunShow, saying this is where Memphis started for him before welcoming everyone to his house.



Matt Williams beats Big John Dalton with Storybook Prince Gaston's book as Storybook Prince Gaston distracts the referee on the ring apron.



Backstage, The Posse (Simon and Mr. Chris) say that they run Memphis Wrestling and that nobody can touch them with Lance McKay on their side. The two of them congratulate Lance McKay on beating up Tim Grind, and Lance says he will be the one who will run the family business. Simon says they will crush Tim Grind and make their way to the top and get every single championship.



Dustin Starr interviews Dirty Dango at the announce desk after Dirty Dango walks around the ring. He takes a "I Love Dirty Dango" sign from a child, and when he asks if they made the sign, he finds out they did, then he tears the sign up. He says he thought Nashville was a dump until Memphis made him want to take a shower, then says he needs to take a first class flight to Boston before asking to bring out "any of these toothless hillbillies" so he can get out of here. The challenge is answered by Mikey.

Mikey beats Dirty Dango with an inside cradle after Dango spends too much time outside of the ring.



The Roberts Family Legacy (Aaron and Cordale Roberts) beats Gio Savage and Draco. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews The Roberts Family Legacy (Aaron Roberts, Cordale Roberts, Big Red) and Justin Case at the announce desk. Justin Case tells K-Toomer and Mike Anthony they will be at the Dyer County Fair before saying that King Cobra is willing to fight while Big Red has fought his entire career. Big Red wants to know where K-Toomer, Mike Anthony and King Cobra are now, then Justin Case says they will all be there next week. Aaron Roberts threatens to have Big Red beat Dustin Starr down again like he did back in the day.



We hear from "The Goddess of the Night" Nyxx, who says today is the day that Mackenzie Morgan was supposed to fight her for the Women's Championship, but nobody has seen her since their contract signing.She says that nobody wants to face her and that Mackenzie is scared like she should be and that she will forfeit because she is scared.

Before the next match, Nyxx says Mackenzie Morgan will not make it to today's main event after how she was put through a table, then demands the bell be rung and Mackenzie counted out. Mackenzie's music is played, but Mackenzie fails to show and Nyxx considers it a forfeit. The bell is rung, and the referee starts the count. At the count of seven, Mackenzie shows up and fights Nyxx.

Mackenzie Morgan beats "The Goddess of the Night" Nyxx to become the Memphis Wrestling Women's Champion after Matt Williams distracts the referee so that Storybook Prince Gaston can nail Mackenzie with the women's title - which Mackenzie kicks out of - before Ray Ray Sanders and Derrick King show up and beat Williams and Gaston up. As this goes on, Mackenzie hits Nyxx with a facebuster, then Nyxx tries to beg Mackenzie off. Nyxx and Mackenzie hug, but Mackenzie hits Nyxx with a belly-to-belly suplex to win the title.

Rumble on the Trail - The Results

Matt Williams beats Big John Dalton as Big John Dalton suplexes Matt Williams back into the ring only for Storybook Prince Gaston to pull Big John's legs out from under him as the referee is paying more attention to Matt Williams.



Derrick King and Ray Ray Sanders retain the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships against The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont).



Before the next match, "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock demands respect, then says that he has prostate problems and hemmorhoids and cannot wrestle before having his Secret Service agent (named Secret Service here) take his place.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels and Coach Pillar beat The Hollywood Clique (Van Viciouss and Secret Service). After the match, Brett Michaels hits the GunShow Lariat on Secret Service before celebrating with the Pontotoc Run Club in the ring.



Before the next match, Reverend Ash Taylor states that when he wins the Rumble On The Trail Match, the money raised for St. Jude Children's Hospital will go to his cause in The Righteous Path. To the surprise of nobody, he is the first person eliminated after multiple wrestlers beat him up.

Big John Dalton last eliminates Matt Williams (who has just inadvertently eliminated Storybook Prince Gaston) to win the 20-man over-the-top-rope Rumble On The Trail Match.



Before the next match, "The Best of the Best" Austin Lane declares in writing that his match with Tim Bosby is a non-title match.

Tim Bosby beats "The Best of the Best" Austin Lane. During the match, "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane distracts the referee so that Austin can hit Bosby with a low blow and a belt shot to the head, but Bosby kicks out. Austin goes for another belt shot to the head, but Bosby ducks and Austin nearly inadvertently hits Nikki. Bosby is then able to hit the ripcord lariat for the win.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for August 5, 2023

Mike Anthony and K-Toomer beat The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont). After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Mike Anthony and K-Toomer at the announce desk. After Mike Anthony leads the crowd into a chant by taking the microphone around the ring, Mike Anthony says that Memphis Wrestling is on fire. K-Toomer then names the move he used to beat Notorious Bradley "the Seismic Toss." K-Toomer then says that they want all the smoke, especially after what happened to King Cobra, and from here on out, it will be no talking and all action.



In footage from last week, "The Gunshow" Brett Michaels throws the first pitch for the Memphis Redbirds at AutoZone Park.



We see footage of the Dirty Bird Brawl between Big John Dalton and Matt Williams for the Ingomar Dirty Birds Championship. All of a sudden, Matt Williams and Storybook Prince Gaston show up, demanding the footage be stopped. Matt Williams says the match was not a fair fight due to everyone who got involved despite wanting a street fight-style match, and says that if it were a regular one-on-one match, he would have beaten Big Jon, and demands one so he can prove it.

Matt Williams vs. Big John Dalton ends in a no-contest. During the match, Kruel shows up dragging a casket to the ring. Matt Williams and Storybook Prince Gaston stand with Big John Dalton at first, but then run away so that Kruel can choke slam Big John. Afterwards, Kruel takes the microphone and says everybody dies except him and that one cannot kill what is already dead, and next week, he will close the lid on Lance Archer's life forever.



We see Simon talking with Lance McCade, saying that the Lance he knows would have won the Internet Championship, and tells Lance that he will do great regardless of what he has to do, as he cannot stop or let up. Mr. Chris tells Lance he will take it to the top because he has what it takes. Lance then tells Tim Grind that it is nothing personal and that it is just business.



We see more footage of Memphis Wrestling's Wrestling Night at AutoZone Park.



Mackenzie Morgan beats Brooklyn.



We hear from King Cobra, who says not much has changed as he beat Big Red back in the day and will have to do it again. He says that he retired because he thought he was too old to fight, but he cannot seem to stay out of it, and that Big Red will regret hitting him with a Kendo stick.



"All The Way" Ray Collins beats "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt after Reverend Ash Taylor tries to introduce his collection plate into the match as a weapon and fails while Brother Bruce distracts the referee.



"The Best of the Best" Austin Lane and "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane are seen entering the WrestleCenter.

Austin Lane says he tried to make Memphis Wrestling viral again by choking out Dr. Tom Prichard, but Tim Bosby got in his way. He says Nikki told him that they have a plan and that Prichard was closed to getting choked out, then he calls out Bosby. Bosby shows up, and Austin Lane tells him that if he wants to stick his nose in this business and step up to him, then he can put the Internet Championship on the line right now. Bosby tells Austin Lane he beat him twice and asks him if he wants to do this for a third time. Austin Lane says he is not scared and asks if Bosby is, then asks for a referee so he can show him the two victories were a fluke. Bosby accepts the challenge, and the match happens right now.

"The Best of the Best" Austin Lane beats Tim Bosby to become the Memphis Wrestling Internet Champion after "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane trips Bosby and Austin Lane chokes Bosby out with the guillotine choke to the point that Bosby passes out.

Grind City Rumble, Part Two/Milestone 100 - Memphis Wrestling recap for January 21, 2023

We look back on Mickie James' appearance on Memphis Wrestling at Super Bout in 2022 and Cassandra Golden beating "Dirty" Diana Taylor for the Memphis Women's Championship.



Cassandra Golden retains the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship against Jennifer Justice after foiling Martin's interference attempt on the apron.



We see footage of K-Toomer surrounded by masked men at a gas station. Someone grabs K-Toomer, then a man with facial hair kicks K-Toomer and calls "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock to tell him "It's been done." K-Toomer then fights off his assailant, then fights the man with the facial hair off.



Dustin Starr interviews "The Best of the Best" Austin Lane at the announce desk. Austin Lane says he has proven that he is the best of the best since the first episode of Memphis Wrestling, but for the past five or six months, Matt Williams has been a thorn in his side and has thrown him off his game. Austin Lane says that he has went a whole year without a loss and that he won last year's Grind City Rumble, then says that he wants to finish things with Matt Williams once and for all so he can focus on this year's Grind City Rumble. Matt Williams shows up and says Austin Lane only cares for himself, and reminds him that he took care of Nikki Lane when she was injured and jumped on K-Toomer when he attacked him, then says he wanted to share the spotlight with him and become a tag team champ. Austin Lane tells Matt Williams to shut up and that there people who are more held back than Matt, then tell him to get his guy so that they can end this right now. Big Jack then shows up and stands with Matt, then Austin brings out Bruce, now known as "Bulletproof Bruce." This stars a tag team match.



"The Best of the Best" Austin Lane and Bulletproof Bruce beat Matt Williams and Big Jack.



Backstage, Big John Dalton is met by MacKenzie Morgan. MacKenzie says he has heard talk that Big John Dalton attacked her and wants to know if it was him. Big John Dalton says it was not him.



Dustin Starr interviews "The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts and Justin Case at the announce desk. Justin Case says it is the time of year where there are 29 other people in the back thinking they have a shot at winning the Grind City Rumble, but they have a problem in Aaron Roberts. Aaron Roberts then says that he wants a warm-up match and gets in the ring, and he gets in Kid Wrestling.



"The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts beats Kid Wrestling.



We see a video package chronicling the feud between "The GunShow" Brett Michaels and Mike Anthony.



Before the next match, Mike Anthony warns "The GunShow" Brett Michaels that there are two things one does not do: one does not turn their back on a man one fears and one dos not turn their back on a man one respects.

Despite a vicious pre-bell assault from Mike Anthony, "The GunShow" Brett Michaels beats Mike Anthony with a single GunShow Lariat to become Memphis Wrestling Heritage Champion for a second time.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for October 29, 2022

The show begins with footage of Mads Krugger dragging a wooden casket to the WrestleCenter.



Dustin Starr interviews Brad Skimahorn and Uncle Mikey at the announce desk. Brad Skimahorn says that Uncle Mikey will not win matches if he does not focus on wrestling, and Mikey says that they will not win the costume contest if he is not dressed as Baby Shark. The Hot Shots (Ethan Ross, Brandon Savage, Coach Justin Klein) show up, and Coach Klein says both of them look embarrassing and that they are embarrassed to be in the same ring as them. This leads to a match.

The Skimahorns (Brad Skimahorn and Uncle Mikey) beat The Hot Shots (Ethan Ross and Brandon Savage) after The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont) show up dressed up as The Hot Shots and swinging golf clubs, distracting the real Hot Shots and giving Uncle Mikey the pin and the win. After the match, Mads Krugger - now going by the name Mads "Kruel" Krugger - shows up with a wooden casket, The Skimahorns try to fight him but get overpowered fairly quickly. Both Brad Skimahorn and Uncle Mikey then get choke slammed. Kruel then says that before the day is over, somebody will be placed in the wooden casket and the lid will be closed on their life forever.



We hear from "Remarkable" Ryan Rembrandt, who tells everyone to give up the Halloween candy on Halloween and to have a nice, healthy Halloween instead.



We see some of the fans in costume for today's show.



The Golden Savages (Gio Savage and Cassandra Golden) beat Jennifer Justice and Martin, the latter of whom comes out as Precious for this match, in a mixed tag match.



Dustin Starr interviews The Hollywood Clique, which includes a now-unsuspended "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock dressed as Paul Bearer while Van Viciouss and Colton Cage are dressed as The Undertaker and Kane, respectively. Blaylock says there is a lot of evil in Memphis Wrestling and that everyone except the Clique is evil, and that he was suspended for no reason at all. He then calls Dustin Starr a troublemaker and says he hates everyone but loves the Hollywood Clique. After saying the Clique is the hottest thing going today, Van Viciouss tells Derrick King and Ray Sanders to rest in peace. Blaylock then tells everyone to give the Clique respect before telling Dustin Starr that he has no idea how much he messed up. It is then announced that The Hollywood Clique are in the forthcoming Memphis Trios Tournament.



We see the bracket for the Memphis Trios Tournament.

Dustin Starr interviews Matt Williams, Money Mark and Big Jack at the announce desk. Dustin Starr interviews Matt Williams, Money Mark and Big Jack at the announce desk. He says that Austin Lane was not a true friend, as he hogged the spotlight, and that he will prove that "Memphis Wrestling is Matt Williams." He then says his match will be fair and down the middle. Money Mark then threatens to sue Dustin Starr for "stealing Matt Williams' logo" before saying Halloween is his favorite holiday because they are giving out jawbreakers.

Matt Williams beats Ray Collins after Money Mark gets on the apron and Big Jack knees Collins in the face following a Sunset Flip from Ray Collins.



Warwolf vs. Gangrel ends in a no-contest. During the match, Mads "Kruel" Krugger shows up as Gangrel goes for an Implant DDT, then Kruel and Gangrel square off. Warwolf gets up and attacks Kruel, and Kruel and Gangrel double-team Warwolf. Kruel then opens the wooden casket that has been left in front of the announce desk the whole show and choke slams Warwolf into the casket before closing the lid.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for October 1, 2022

Dustin Starr interviews Gio Savage to start today's show. Gio Savage shows Dustin how to do the shoulder shuffle that he does on the way to the ring.

Gio Savage beats Cameron Cole by count-out after Cameron Cole walks out on the match. After the match, Cameron Cole runs back into the ring and attacks Gio Savage from behind.



We hear from Cassandra Golden, who thanks the fans for their support and tells them to stay tuned for the new golden era in women's wrestling in Memphis.



Mackenzie Morgan guests on commentary for the next match (and reports that "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock is having an emotional meltdown backstage).

"The Goddess of the Night" Nyxx beats Shalonce Royal after Shalonce fakes a hurt ankle and goes for a cheap shot only for the whole plan to backfire. After the match, Shalonce Royal attacks Nyxx, then puts her foot on Nyxx and makes the referee count a pinfall despite not winning the match.



Dustin Starr interviews Brad Skimahorn and Uncle Mikey at the announce desk. Brad say that over the last couple of months, Briar Skimahorn has not been medically cleared, and his father had a heart attack and a stroke on the same day. Brad says he is pulling for their father, then Dysfunction (Brandon Espinosa, Kyle Roberts, DNA) shows up. Espinosa tells Brad that he has some sad news: his father died on the inside after watching him wrestle. Uncle Mikey holds Brad back, then Espinosa gives him the choice of joining Dysfunction or wrestling in the ring to kill his father even more.

Dysfunction (Brandon Espinosa and Kyle Roberts) beat The Skimahorns (Brad Skimahorn and Uncle Mikey) after Espinosa rolls Brad Skimahorn up as Brad pins Kyle Roberts (who is not the legal man at the end of the match).



We see a video package of K. Toomer.

K-Toomer beats Ethan Ross, Brandon Savage, and Storybook Prince Gaston in a Fatjitsu exhibition. When "Big Trouble" Ben Bishop steps up, Ethan Ross and Brandon Savage attack both men only to get a big beating. Both men have a staredown followed by a fist bump.





"The Best of the Best" Austin Lane beats Matt Williams in a Bullrope Match after tying Matt Williams up with the bullrope for an STF in the middle of the ring.



Dustin Starr interviews The Hollywood Clique at the announce desk. "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock says there is a conspiracy against him in Memphis Wrestling and that everyone is against The Hollywood Clique, even saying that Dustin Starr brainwashed Teddy Long. Blaylock tells Ray Sanders that he blew his opportunity and says he did not call it down the middle, then accuses Sanders of being paid off by Dustin Starr before forcing him to remove his yellow referee shirt. He also yells at Sanders for leaving marks on his car when he cleaned it and always getting the cheap water from the local market instead of Fiji water, then The Hollywood Clique beat up Ray Sanders. Suddenly, Derrick King shows up and fights off The Hollywood Clique, forcing them to retreat. Derrick King then helps Ray Sanders up and raises his hand.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for August 13, 2022

Dustin Starr interviews "Outlandish" Zicky Dice at the announce desk. Zicky Dice says it is great to be back, the followers are coming through, and he is waiting for a worthy challenger. He then mentions Mike Anthony vs. Zay Washington from two weeks ago, then challenges Zay Washington to a match for the Memphis Internet Championship tonight. Zay Washington soon shows up. Zicky Dice says that he is impressed and that Zay Washington could soon be an Internet star. After Zay Washington accepts his challenge, Mike Anthony shows up. Anthony says that this is his show, which means it is his time. Zicky Dice and Zay Washington leave before Dustin Starr interviews Mike Anthony. Anthony says he does not have to pay anybody off when he has respect. He then says that in seven days, he will be out here to witness "The GunShow" Brett Michaels' demise and destruction, then Brett Michaels will understand once and for all that he is loved by few, hated by many, dared by none and respected by all.



Van Viciouss beats "The True American" Trace Lee Hunt after referee Ray Sanders keeps Trace Lee Hunt from hitting the top rope diving head butt, allowing Viciouss to shake the top rope to trip Hunt down, slam him and win.



The Posse (Simon and Mr. Chris) retain the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships against Country Rock (Carter Matthews and Chris Hayes) after the Posse stop the Country Rock Drop and Simon grabs the tights on the schoolkid pin on Carter Matthews.

Backstage, The Hot Shots (Brandon Savage, Ethan Ross, "Too Fine" Justin Klein) harass some fans and help themselves to their nachos. Needless to say, the fans are not impressed.



Before the next match, Matt Williams fails to shot when his entrance theme hits. Five members of security have to carry Matt Williams - who is still wearing a neck brace - screaming to the ring. Matt Williams takes the neck brace off as soon as he gets the upper hand.

Austin Lane beats Matt Williams by count-out after Matt Williams slides out of the ring and heads back to the locker room, apparently wanting nothing more to do with Austin Lane.



We hear from Nyxx, who says that at Gauntlet For The Gold, she was so prepared to win the Memphis Women's Championship, but "Dirty" Diana Taylor knew what she had coming and sent The Hollywood Clique to take her gear and trash her car. However, she did not stop her, even as Diana Taylor won the Memphis Women's Championship, then says there is only one goddess in Memphis Wrestling and it is her.



Memphis Wrestling is coing to Dyersburg, Mississippi for Dyer Country Clash on September 10th!

Zay Washington beats "Outlandish" Zicky Dice to become the Memphis Wrestling Internet Champion! After the match, Aaron Roberts celebrates with Zay Washington, then smacks Zicky Dice, then lays out Zay Washington and squashes both of them in the corner.

Memphis Wrestling Saturday Night recap for April 23, 2022

Dustin Starr interviews "Outlandish" Zicky Dice in the ring. Zicky admits he is a fan of Jet's Pizza and starts a very brief "Jet's" chant, then announces that the airline have lost his luggage and that he has been wearing his wrestling gear for two days. He then says that if he gave everyone the big news, he would have to pack up and leave immediately, and says that he wants to hang out with the fans a little longer and says it is a main event announcement. Zicky Dice then guests on commentary.



K-Toomer beats Martin.



Dustin Starr interviews The Hollywood Clique - "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock and "Delicious" Van Viciouss - in the ring. Blaylock says he has the best talent, then says he and Viciouss have been on Beale Street all day and the fans have been begging for autographs. Blaylock then calls Van Viciouss "the next action hero" who will be bigger than Rambo and The Rock. He also says he has a big surprise and that he has somebody in the back he wants to bring out, as he is always looking for talent. That person is "Dirty" Diana Taylor, and after she shows up, Blaylock says every woman wants to be her as she is the most beautiful woman in the world today. He also announces that he has gotten her parts in movies and that she will be the next starlet. Blaylock then says Van Viciouss is not scared of anybody and that they have beaten Derrick so many times.

"Delicious" Van Viciouss beats Derrick King after "Dirty" Diana Taylor distracts the referee so that Van Viciouss can hit Derrick King with "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock's cane.



Dustin Starr interviews Norman Meklakov - now accompanied by Matt, "The Best of the Best" Austin Lane's now-former best friend - in the ring. Matt is greeted with a "traitor" chant, and Meklakov says that they do not explain themselves to anybody and that the people are uglier at night than they are during the day. Matt says his name is Matt Williams, then says he does not have to explain himself to anyone and that he and Meklalov are here to see if anyone can break the Meklalock. An angry Austin Lane suddenly shows up and that Dustin never mentioned Matt's last name because Matt was a nobody, then says he will make him famous and that he wants him, not Meklakov or the Meklalock Challenge. Matt tells Austin if he wants him, he's got it, but he will have to get through Meklakov to face him down the line. Austin says he will make Meklakiv tap, then he will either tap out or knock out Matt.

"The Best of the Best" Austin Lane beats Norman Meklakov by disqualification after Matt Williams attacks Austin Lane. After the match, Meklakov puts Austin Lane in the Meklalock, then Matt Williams says that Austin technically won by disqualification and that he is getting his match with him right now. With help from Meklakov behind the referee's back, Matt Williams keep beating up Austin Lane, but Austin Lane keeps kicking out. Matt goes for a fist from the top rope, but Austin gets a foot up to block it and knock Matt down. Austin Lane gets the upper hand, but Meklakov saves Matt and the two of them head to the back. "The Best of the Best' Austin Lane beats Matt Williams by count-out.



"Outlandish" Zicky Dice gets in the ring to make his big announcement. Zicky Dice says he is a man of his word and that he is here to bring some big news that will change Memphis Wrestling forever. He says that he has keeping his eye on Memphis for a long time, then introduces that the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship is coming. All of a sudden, Mike Anthony shows up, takes the microphone and says he is unimpressed with Memphis Wrestling Saturday Night and that he has been listening to Zicky Dice run his mouth all night long. He says he is tired of hearing Zicky Dice and that he is ready to shut everything down, telling Zicky Dice that he has rolled the dice and crapped out. He gives Zicky Dice the choice of getting out or getting hurt. Zicky Dice says he is already in his gear and should beat his ass right now. He then teases leaving before attacking Mike Anthony, who gets the upper hand and hits him with the Genetic Dream before tossing him out of the ring. Zicky Dice is then helped to the back.



Memphis Muscle ("The GunShow" Brett Michaels and "Big Swole" Justin Cole) beat The Posse (Simon and Mr. Chris) in a special grudge match.
