Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling presented by CarShield recap for October 2, 2022

The Bodega (Danny Limelight, "King FatBoy" Papo Esco, Slice Boogie) head to the ring to start this week's show. Slice Boogie says he is okay with Danny Limelight beating him like he did in the Golden Opportunity tournament and announces he has suffered a torn Achilles, then Papo Esco says The Bodega is about to run the United Wrestling Network on the greatest level. He says that Danny Limelight will win the United World Championship and that everything The Bodega set out to do will happen as planned, then Danny Limelight has a toast with the fans before telling Jordan Clearwater that he is coming home with the gold. He also says there is nobody in the back or in The Embassy who can stop him, then Baron Black shows up and says that while Danny Limelight is number one contender, he is only that because he was not in the tournament. Limelight tells Baron Black he has respect for him and that he did not need to show up like a jealous ex, then says that Black was not in the tournament because he did not put in enough work. Baron Black says that he was the top guy in Championship Wrestling From Atlanta and tells him that he could have beaten Danny Limelight any day of the week, then Johnny Loquasto shows up. Loquasto commends Baron Black on stacking up wins in United Wrestling Network even though Danny Limelight has earned his title shot, then puts the two of them in a match for next week. Baron tells Limelight that he is going to learn, and Limelight tells Baron that he made him tap out last time.

Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend) beat Michael Hopkins and Miggy Rose.

Backstage, Guy Tweakacetti says that The Midnight Heat ("Rockin'" Ricky Gibson and "Precious" Eddie Pearl) have been partying for forty days and forty nights. Ricky Gibson says that with the United tag titles comes with a lot of clout, and with that clout, people pay attention to them and they plan on another long title reign. Suddenly, Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend) shows up. Thornstowe tells The Midnight Heat that they have put targets on themselves and that Reno Scum have had multiple title reigns. Johnny Loquasto shows up and puts both teams in the main event, and if Reno Scum win, they get a shot at the United tag titles. As Guy Tweakacetti gets mad, Loquasto tells him to keep the sunglasses on due to how his pupils look.

"Poppin'" EJ Sparks beats Koto Hiro.

Lord Crewe vs. Levi Shapiro ends in a no-contest after Crewe shoves a camera crew member for getting in his way only for the camera crew member to shove back. Both the camera crew member and Lord Crewe have to be held back.

We hear from Jack Banning, who congratulates Ju Dizz on winning last week. He says Ju Dizz may think things are going his way, but they are also going his way. He says Ju Dizz's win against Freeman was tainted, but the next match will be "an honest for us all." He says that humans have only one instinct: to survive. He also says humans have one guarantee: they won't.

Jordan Cruz retains the United Television Championship against Kevin Martenson.
