Backstage, R-Truth talks with Shelton Benjamin. He apologizes to Shelton for being insensitive to his problems and what he has been through, and that they should talk their problems out. R-Truth says he lives in his own world and that he and the fans like him for being him, yet there was a time when he was so serious that he was arrested on national television. He says that the world is serious and that being serious all the time is not good, and that going crazy got him a match with The Rock and John Cena and the ability to sell out shows in Madison Square Garden and numerous pay-per-views. He tells Shelton he only has one life and that he cannot spend it being serious all the time, then asks why they can't be serious at times and funny in others. Shelton stands up and looks at R-Truth, then leaves.
In the locker room, R-Truth is met by Von Wagner, who says Shelton Benjamin left because R-Truth is an idiot. He tells R-Truth that he has not forgotten the stunt that he pulled with the chair the other week, and that his time is coming. Suddenly, Cedric Alexander shows up and confronts Von Wagner, saying guys like Von Wagner and Duke Hudson like to talk down on people and that he has a problem with that. Von Wagner asks Cedric Alexander if he can handle that problem in the ring.
Cedric Alexander beats Von Wagner by disqualification after Von Wagner refuses to listen to the referee.
