Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson. Danielson says that he is a little bit frustrated that he lost to Chris Jericho and that Daniel Garcia turned his back on him, and that Wheeler Yuta talked back to him. As Wheeler Yuta says he is happy and that he is not Danielson's son, Claudio Castagnoil and William Regal show up, and Claudio has to be the voice of reason. Claudio says that today is a good day, and that after Danielson takes care of business, he and Wheeler will sit down and handle things like adults.

We see photos of The Elite (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Kenny Omega) in which The Elite disappear in Photoshop-like fashion, followed by the AEW logo disappearing in the same fashion.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews The Jericho Appreciation Society. Everyone is irritated with The Blackpool Combat Club, and Chris Jericho says Claudio Castagnoli's win should not count when his bat was in the ring. Jericho then says all bets are off and that he will beat up all former Ring of Honor champions, even proposing an open challenge against any former ROH champion. Sammy Guevara then says that he will get in the ring and o what he does best as he beats "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson again.

The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) and Billy Gunn watch the next match from the stage on metal folding chairs.

Swerve In Our Glory (Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland) beat FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) to become #1 contenders for the AEW World Tag Team Championships after Swerve hits Harwood with a low blow from the outside while The Gunns (Austin and Colten Gunn) hold Harwood down from behind the barricade. After the match, The Gunns continue to attack FTR, then The Acclaimed run into the ring to chase them away.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Saraya. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. shows up, and Saraya is not in the mood with her. As Britt and Saraya argue, Renee steps in and tells them that if they are going to talk about this, they will do it properly. Britt Baker walks away.

Renee Paquette interviews MJF of the stage. MJF mocks Jon Moxley, and that the word "mid" comes to mind when he thinks of him. He also says that he meant it when he said he would earn the World Championship, then says he will win the title "relatively clean." He then says it got under his skin when William Regal told him that he used his brass knuckles because he wanted to and implying he could not beat Moxley without the Dynamite Diamond Ring. MJF then promises for one night and one night only that he will not use the Dynamite Diamond Ring as a weapon at Full Gear, as he does not need the ring and all he needs is a grudge, which he is chockful of and has mashe ddown into a chip on his shoulder, and at Full Gear, he is fighting "every single sorry scumbag who ever told him that he was not good enough," then taking the chip and shoving it down their throats when he becomes AEW World Champion. Suddenly, Stokely Hathaway shows up and says MJF wants Moxley at 100% at Full Gear and promises not to lay a hand on him. MJF smacks the microphone out of Stokely's hands, then says that if Moxley wins tonight, he wants him at 110%. He also threatens to fire Stokely if he even so much as looks at Moxley after tonight's main event, then Stokely leaves and MJF finishes the segment with his catchphrase.

We see a video package for Matt Taven vs. Wardlow for the TNT Championship on Rampage.

"The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson beats Sammy Guevara with a triangle hold with elbow strikes.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Rey Fenix and Alex Abrahantes. Fenix says Penta el Zero Miedo will be a noble champion, and Abrahantes says Penta will become World Champion. As Fenix says any member of Death Triangle can be a double champion and Abrahantes entertains Fenix as All-Atlantic champion, Christian Cage and Luchasaurus show up. As Fenix says any member of Death Triangle can be a double champion and Abrahantes entertains Fenix as All-Atlantic champion, Christian Cage and Luchasaurus show up. Christian says that Fenix may not have been paying attention when he and Luchasaurus put the AEW locker room on notice and that if anyone is worthy of the title, it is Luchasaurus. Orange Cassidy shows up and says that if both men want to face him for the AEW All-Atlantic Championship, then they will have that match.

Jamie Hayter beats Riho. After the match, Toni Storm shows up and raises up the Interim AEW Women's World Championship at the top of the ramp.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Eddie Kingston. Eddie says he is great and wonderful, and that he is having a blast while faking a smile. He says that it is going to be hard for Jon Moxley, and while he likes Penta el Zero Miedo, he expects Moxley to win tonight.

We hear from Darby Allin. He says that Sting has not been here for some time, then talks about how he told Sting a month ago about who he is or where he is going, and after a talk, he says he has wanted to prove himself on his own. He says that he knows what his biggest weakness is, and that is himself, and dares Jay Lethal to tell him what his biggest weakness is. We then hear from Lethal, Sonja Dutt and Satnam Singh. Jay Lethal says Darby Allin is in for a rude awakening, and Sonjay Dutt tells Darby Allin to be careful what he wishes for, because he will get it next week.

Jon Moxley retains the AEW World Championship against Penta el Zero Miedo. After the match, The Firm attacks Jon Moxley, and Stokley Hathaway shows up to direct traffic. Security rushes into the ring, but The Firm overpowers them. Backstage, Alex Marvez reports that The Blackpool Combat Club have been locked in their dressing room with a chain and cannot help Moxley. MJF then shows up with a conflicted look on his face. MJF then wrestles with his conscience before going to the back, then runs into the ring and chews out The Firm and fires Stokely Hathaway. Stokely grins, then The Firm turns on MJF. Ethan Page hits MJF with the Ego's Edge, then W. Morrisey tosses MJF out of the ring. MJF tries to fight back, but the numbers game is too much before Morrissey puts MJF through a table.
