Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for October 27, 2022

Black Taurus beats Laredo Kid in the BTI match to advance in the X Division Championship Tournament.

Backstage, Matt Taven and Mike Bennett confront Scott D'Amore, declaring Impact Wrestling an unsafe workplace and blaming him for it, while also mentioning that Vincent is now in the hospital. D'Amore tells them that they are as good as it gets and that he wants them here, and there needs to be common ground. Scott D'Amore gives Taven and Bennett his word that they will not be put in an unsafe position again, and D'Amore and Taven shake hands before D'Amore tells him and Bennett that they are fired.

Trey Miguel beats Alan Angels to advance in the X Division Championship Tournament.

Backstage, Chris Bey and "Inevitable" Ace Austin confront Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer, and Chris Brey demands Bully Ray apologize for lying. Bully Ray defends himself, even saying it could have been Moose who attacked Ace Austin, and when Dreamer tells Chris Bey to cool down, Bey challenges him to a match. Dreamer accepts, and Bully Ray thanks him for having his back. When he says he will have his back, Tommy Dreamer tells him to let him handle this himself, as nobody trusts him and his being around is "giving people ammo."

Backstage, VXT ("The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo and Chelsea Green) and "The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw converse. Gisele says that the three of them know what they are up against and that they can win tonight, and Chelsea proposes they make tonight Mickie James' last loss. Deonna says that after tonight, they can focus on championship gold, but for right now, they are solely focused on Mickie James.

Rachelle Steele beats Tasha Steelz by disqualification. During the match, Tasha heads to the outside, takes the microphone, and shows her irritation with having to face an enhancement talent. She tells Rachelle Steele that she had her five minutes, then has Savannah Evans lay her out with a punch. Rachelle wins by disqualification, but Tasha sics Savannah on her again. Savannah annihilates Rachelle with a powerbomb.

Backstage, Heath and Rhino are met by The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley), who meet about a tag team title match. Heath say he and Rhino are ready to defend, and asks the Guns to talk with management about a tag team title match.

Backstage, The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) meet Matt Cardona and Brian Myers at Scott D'Amore's office door. As both teams fight over who asks for a tag team title shot, Scott D'Amore shows up and puts Shelley and Cardona in a match tonight.

Chris Bey beats Tommy Dreamer. During the match, Moose shows up and confronts Bully Ray for blaming him for the attack on "Inevitable" Ace Austin, and also trips Chris Bey from the outside before walking away. Despite Chris being distracted by Bully Ray and thinking that Bully Ray tripped him, he is able to hit Dreamer with the Art of Finesse for the win.

This week's Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is Sting vs. Bully Ray for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at Slammiversary 2013.

We hear from Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis). Kyle Fletcher admits The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) beat them, but they have a plan to get their win back. He then issues an open challenge to any tag team who wants to take Aussie Open on.

Backstage, Tommy Dreamer tells Bully Ray to calm down and relax, but Bully Ray is enraged and says he came to do things the right way. Dreamer tells Bully Ray he did things right, but Bully Ray threatens to take Moose out if he gets involved again.

Matt Cardona beats Alex Shelley after constant cheating by both Cardona and Brian Myers and constant outsmarting by Shelley and Chris Sabin. After the match, Myers and Cardona attack Sabin and Shelley, then Heath and Rhino show up and brawl with Myers and Cardona, who are soon forced to retreat.

Backstage, Rich Swann and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander talk about what is going on with the World Championship when Gail Kim shows up. Gail Kim tells Josh Alexander that Bully Ray taught her more things than anyone else, but also taught her not to trust anyone in the business. After she asks Alexander to watch her back, Alexander is suddenly attacked from behind by Steve Maclin, and security moves in while Frankie Kazarian also goes after Maclin. After the commercial break, Frankie Kazarian talks with Josh Alexander. Kazarian says he is looking out for his best interests and that there is a target on Alexander's back, and he wants Alexander to make it to Over Drive. Alexander then proposes that they team up together and take on Aussie Open in their open next week. Kazarian likes the idea enough to do it for one night and accepts.

Before the next match, Joe Hendry says Las Vegas, Nevada is a place where fortunes are won and lost, and while someone may have lost a fortune, they and their spouse will believe in Joe Hendry.

Joe Hendry beats Raj Singh.

Backstage, Eric Young and Deaner tells someone how defeat and loss can teach things, and that Sami Callihan knows what a lust for violence is all about and that his eyes are open. He then says that Callihan does not understand how much he loves violence, then he says that he hopes the mystery person's eyes are open and that they are watching.

Backstage, Gia Miller has a sit-down interview with Eddie Edwards. Eddie says "Honor No More is no more," and that due to Vincent being in the hospital, PCO turning on everyone, and Matt Taven and Mike Bennett, there is nothing left. As far as he stands with Alisha Edwards, he does not want that to become "public fodder" and wishes to keep it private. When asked if he would do it all again, he says yes, as Honor No More's mission was righteous. He says that there has been no honor in Impact for a very long time, and admits that mistakes were made from the beginning and that there was "a poison pill" from the outset. Eddie then says that PCO is "a little bitch" and that he will pay for what he has done.

Mickie James, Taylor Wilde and Jordynne Grace beat VXT ("The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo and Chelsea Green) and "The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw after Jordynne Grace clobbers Gisele Shaw from behind for holding up the Knockouts World Championship and Taylor Wilde stops a double team by VXT so that Mickie James can hit a Mick-DT for the win.
