Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for October 7, 2022

Triple H is in the ring to start tonight's show. He says there will come a time when one believes that everything is finished, then says that time is the beginning. There is a QR code on his microphone as he introduces everyone to tonight's show. The Bloodline then arrives. After Roman Reigns tells the fans to acknowledge him, Logan Paul shows up. Logan stands on the apron, but does not get in the ring, but Roman tells him that this is his show and that Logan is his guest, and that he wants to hear what Logan has to say while asking him to listen to what The Bloodline has to say. Logan gets in the ring, and Roman says they did this to him years ago and he is the greatest of all time, and he says that this is important, as there are a lot of things that The Bloodline has to teach Logan. Paul Heyman admits that Roman had to ask him who Logan Paul is, and Heyman had to tell Roman that Logan is "this generation's version of Mr. T and Cyndi Lauper" given how popular he is on the Internet. He says that when it came time to figure out which celebrity Roman wanted to smash, they first considered Jordan Pederson or Ben Shapiro, but neither of them are fighters. Heyman then says "The less said about Andrew Tate, the better," and that Tate would not have the balls to fight Roman, and that this left Logan Paul. Heyman says that Logan is the only one with the balls to do this for his YouTube audience, get sent to the hospital by Roman and have a lot of content to make out of it after Roman smashes him. Logan says he cannot argue with that, then he asks which Tribal Chief will smash him: Roman Reigns or Jey Uso. Jey takes exception to this and threatens to get him, and has to be held back. As Roman stares Jey down, Sami Zayn intervenes and asks both men to take a deep breath, then tells Roman that his authority is not being questioned before saying Jey did nothing wrong and that the only wrongdoer in the ring is Logan Paul. He calls Logan Paul "a YouTuber who wants to be a WWE Superstar" who has no idea that he will be smashed like nobody has been smashed before and calls him "the biggest two of them all" that will end up on the bottom of Roman's shoe. He says that afterwards, The Bloodline will still be here and stronger than ever because they are the ones.

Solo Sikoa beats Ricochet after reversing the top rope Shooting Star Press into the Spinning Solo. After the match, Sami Zayn brags about taking Solo Sikoa under his wing when Jey yells at him for it. When Sami calls Jey a hothead, Jey dares him to do it again until Roman says Jey is a hothead and that it is Sami's problem after declaring he does not want it to be his.

Backstage, Sami Zayn talks with The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) about the conversation from earlier when The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) show up and mock Sami Zayn. This leads to Sami Zayn challenging them to a six-man tag match.

On the way to the ring, Hit Row (B-Fab, Ashante "Thee" Adonis, Top Dolla) are attacked by Legado del Fantasma: Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro. Zelina Vega, now with blonde hair, suddenly shows up and hits B-Fab with a hurricanrana. (Elektra Lopez is nowhere to be seen in all this.) Zelina Vega declares that she is back and that she did not come alone. Santos Escobar introduces Legado del Fantasma, and tells everyone that SmackDown is theirs.

We see a video of a rabbit digging on a blue X in the ground and lava coming out, followed by "TOMORROW NIGHT," "10.8.2022" and the words "FEED YOUR HEAD" in multiple languages.

Shotzi and Raquel Rodriguez beat Xia Li and Sonya Deville.

We see a video package for "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey vs. Liv Morgan in an Extreme Rules Match for the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship.

Karrion Kross and Scarlett head to the ring. Suddenly, Drew McIntyre appears behind Kross and hits him with a hard right hand when he turns around, then puts on the strap and punches Kross some more before security tries to step in. McIntyre attacks security when they try to hold him down, then Kross pulls into the ring post with the strap before whipping him in the back as he traps him near the post, all whilte Scarlett enjoys the punishment that Kross is inflicting on McIntyre.

We hear from The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik), who say that fools confused absence with weakness and that they have only grown stronger as a woman prays to Valhalla.

The New Day's (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) partner for the next match is Braun Strowman.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) and Braun Strowman beat Sami Zayn and The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) after Sami and Jey argue on the outside only to get launched over the announce table and into Michael Cole and Wade Barrett by Strowman.

Backstage, Maxxine Dupri confronts Max Dupri - who is calling himself LA Knight again - for attacking Mansoor and Mace.

There is a person in a white rabbit suit behind the announce table before the next match.

GUNTHER retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Sheamus after Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser show up to support GUNTHER only for Ridge Holland and Butch to brawl with them. Kaiser hands GUNTHER a shillelagh, and Vinci distracts the ref so that GUNTHER can use it as a weapon to retain.

This week on The SmackDown LowDown: Drew McIntyre! The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods)! The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Ridge Holland, Butch)!

Here are the top ten moments from tonight's show!
