William Regal guests on commentary for the next match.

MJF beats Wheeler Yuta with the Salt of the Earth after flipping over to crank on the arm and shoulder when Yuta goes for the ropes to break the hold. After the match, Wheeler Yuta asks MJF to shake his hand. When MJF approaches him, Yuta is attacked from behind by Lee Moriarty, much to MJF's chagrin. Stokely Hathaway shows up and hands MJF the Dynamite Diamond Ring, then William Regal leaves the commentary table. Regal puts on his brass knuckles and approaches the ring, and Lee Moriarty and Stokely Hathaway leave. The crowd chants "You fucked up!" before MJF leaves.

We see a video package chronicling the events leading up to tonight's main event between the team of Bryan Danielson and Daniel Garcia and the team of Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone inteviews The Jericho Appreciation Society. "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard takes tonight's main event as a spit in the face from Daniel Garcia, and "Cool Hand" Angelo Parker says the Society considers Garcia family but says Garcia he has lost his way. Chris Jericho tells Daniel Garcia that he taught him every trick he knows and that lessons will be taught and learned, and Sammy Guevara says they will end Garcia before Jericho says that tonight will be a preview of what he does to "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson.

Darby Allin beats Jay Lethal with the Last Supper after Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh show up and Lethal tells them to let him win on his own, which inadvertently distracts Lethal. After the match, Darby demands that Lethal shake his hand after addressing the distraction with him. Lethal shakes Darby's hand.

We hear from Prince Nana and The Embassy ("The Machine" Brian Cage, Kaun, Toa Liona). He says that The Embassy are coming for all the gold, and "The Machine" Brian Cage says this is his arrival, not his comeback, and that he plans on becoming TNT Champion tonight.

Wardlow retains the TNT Championship against "The Machine" Brian Cage following four powerbombs. After the match, The Gates of Agony (Kaun and Toa Liona) show up and attack Wardlow alongside Cage, then Samoa Joe shows up and attacks Kaun only for the numbers game to take over. All of a sudden, FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) show up to even the ranks, and The Embassy retreats. FTR and The Gates of Agony have a staredown soon after, but Prince Nana calls them off.

We hear from Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D, who says that as the face of the AEW Women's Division and as a role model, he feels morally obligated to announce that Saraya will never wrestle in AEW as she is not medically cleared to compete. After stating that Saraya should be wrapped in bubble wrap and sent on her way, Britt proclaims that AEW is her house now.

Penelope Ford, Serena Deeb and Jamie Hayter beat Athena, Toni Storm and Willow Nightingale in a trios match. After the match, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. confronts Saraya in the ring only to get punched by Saraya , and this leads to a four-on-four brawl in the ring. Rebel tries to beg Saraya off only to get kicked in the head by Saraya.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Jose the Assistant and Rush confront Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) for their lack of support in the Andrade Family Office. Rush tells Private Party to do the right thing, and Jose threatens to take them to court if they do not.

The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) and Billy Gunn head to the ring for a National Scissoring Day celebration. The Acclaimed celebrate their accomplishments in AEW and announces that the "Scissor Me Daddy Ass" T-shirt is the #1 selling T-shirt of 2022 before proclaiming AEW to stand for "Acclaimed Every Wednesday." Anthony Bowens says he knows a few things about scissoring and proclaims himself "The Sultan of Scissor" before explaining scissoring to newcomers and stating that Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland are not a real team. He says "Sneaky Swerve" wants people to think that he and Keith Lee are the most popular tag team, but it is The Acclaimed and that AEW is not his house, but Billy Gunn steps and says this is his house. Billy Gunn then presents The Acclaimed with a giant pair of golden scissors, and Bowens runs around with them before Billy Gunn warns him not to run with the scissors. Caster then asks everyone to look to their left and their right and to share a symbol of peace with their neighbor by scissoring before Caster takes some time to talk about greatness. Caster talks about how his dad was on the Washington Redskins on Super Bowl 17 and how his Super Bowl ring is his most prized possession, then admits that while Washington, D.C. is a site of division, today is a day of unity. As Anthony Bowens, Max Caster and Billy Gunn go for a "bipartisan scissor," Swerve Strickland shows up and calls the National Scissoring Day celebration "the most idiotic thing [he has] ever seen." He says that The Acclaimed are not role models and that the tag team titles should be on Billy Gunn's shoulders, because he and Keith Lee would still be champions if it were not for him. Swerve says it is time to get back to business and take people out, starting with a one-on-one match against Billy Gunn. He tells Gunn not to scissor him, then pulls out a rock and says rock beats scissors every day. "Smart" Mark Sterling shows up and tells The Acclaimed that they need him to beat Swerve because they cannot do it by themselves, then asks that they band together and scissor. The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn end up beating Sterling up. Billy Gunn then gladly accepts Swerve's challenge for next week, then he and The Acclaimed pull off the bipartisan scissor.

We see a video package for The Dark Order (John Silver, Alex Reynolds, Preston "10" Vance) vs. Death Triangle (PAC, Penta el Zero Miedo, Rey Fenix) for the Trios Tag Team Championships on Rampage. (This replaces Andrade el Idolo and Preston "10" Vance's scheduled match following a backstage fight between Andeade el Idolo and Sammy Guevara before tonight's show.)

Backstage, Tony Schaivone interviews Madison Rayne and Skye Blue. Madison says she has seen endless potential in the women's division, especially in Skye Blue, then Tay Melo and Anna Jay show up and mock Madison. They say Skye Blue needs a "sports entertainment coach" instead of a wrestling coach to work on her charisma and personality, then Skye says they need to work on their wrestling and challenges them to a tag team match on Rampage.

"Hangman" Adam Page beats Rush after countering the Bull's Horns with a clothesline before hitting the Buckshot Lariat for the win. After the match, Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) shows up, but so does Jon Moxley. Private Party back off as Jon Moxley and Adam Page have a staredown, then Moxley says he has been waiting for this for three years. He says he has been watching Page for the last three years, and since then, they have both beaten just about everyone there is to beat in AEW except for each other, then says that on October 18th, there will be one man left standing. Moxley says he will break Page's face and choke him until he turns blue because he is in the way of him becoming the top guy in AEW, the World Champion and the best in the world. He says that while he respects him for his talent and abilities and admires his as a person, he will have no respect for anything when the bell rings. Page then asks where Moxley is going if he has waited so long for this. Moxley tells Page he is "a sweet kid" and tells him that "talking shit" will get him in trouble, then tells him that this is his final warning and that he should watch his mouth.

Backstage, Tony Schaivone interviews Willow Nightingale. Willow says she is more than happy to be here and is on a role, and at Battle of the Belts IV, she wants the TBS Championship. The Baddies (Jade Cargill, Kiera Hogan, Leila Grey) show up and confront Willow Nightingale, but Willow pushes Leila Grey and Kiera Hogan back. Jade says she has beaten Willow twice, but Willow asks her if she can beat her a third time and tells her that she cannot be unbeaten forever.

Luchasaurus quickly beats Fuego del Sol. After the match, Luchasaurus is about to powerbomb Fuego del Sol onto the ramp, but Jungle Boy shows up and smacks him with a chair. Christian Cage holds Luchasaurus back as Jungle Boy tells Luchasaurus he was his best friend until he chose Christian and broke his heart. Jungle Boy then says he is going to break Luchasaurus "piece by miserable piece" until he breaks him, then tells him to pick the time and place and that he will be ready. Christian tells Jungle Boy he warned him not to return this week, then tells him that the time will be next week on Dynamite and the place is his hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

We see a video package for Trent Beretta vs. PAC for the AEW All-Atlantic Championship at Battle of the Belts IV.

The Jericho Appreciation Society (Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara) beat "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson and Daniel Garcia after Jericho hits Garcia in the face with the Ring of Honor World Championship as Garcia has Guevara in the Dragonslayer. The rest of The Jericho Appreciation Society congratulate Jericho and Guevara after the match, and Jericho looks on disappointedly at Garcia before leaving the ring.
