Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for October 21, 2022

Solo Sikoa beats Sheamus after a brawl between The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) and The Brawling Brutes (Ridge Holland and Butch) that ends with The Usos toppling the announce table on top of The Brawling Brutes. After the match, The Bloodline attacks Sheamus, then wrap Sheamus' bad arm inside a chair while smacking the chair with another chair.

In footage from earlier today, Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci make fun of Rey, saying he is alone on SmackDown and that he stands no chance against Gunther, but Rey says that SmackDown is a new beginning for him and that he will not be disrespected. He then challenges either of them to a match if they have the guts to face him, and Kaiser tells Rey he will beat the disrespect out of him.

We hear from Bray Wyatt. He apologizes for last week, as he did not got done finishing what he had to say. He says that he used to say that revenge is a confession of pain and that he still believes it, then says he has a few things to confess. Bray says that he has always had problems, but he has a few like anger that take him places that he does not want to and places he should not have come back from, yet he gets chances most people do not get. He says that he was content with being left alone and that he wanted people to ignore him, but he is glad that the people remembered him because he needs them. Bray Wyatt says that he can now see as well as what someone wants, but it will not work. He says that he will do horrible things, but he will not regret doing any of them. He says that he is a servant now and that he knows where the circle takes him.

Backstage, Sami Zayn and The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) celebrate Solo Sikoa's win, and Sami says that Solo has been a gem to The Bloodline since he arrived and that he has sent a message. Jey Uso says he is looking forward to Logan Paul showing up and whatever will happen to him, but Sami reminds him that Roman Reigns had instructions not to engage Logan Paul and that attacking Logan would not be very "Uce-y." This causes some slight friction between Jey and Sami as Jey reminds Sami of him being called "a hothead."

Liv Morgan vs. Sonya Deville ends in a double count-out as Liv attacks Sonya on the outside while her new masochistic personality takes over. After the match, Liv Morgan throws several tables into the ring, then slams Sonya into them with a Superplex.

We see a video package for L.A. Knight.

We see a vignette for The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik).

Braun Strowman heads to the ring. Braun says he is difficult to miss and that he is not a hard person to find if someone has a problem with him, then calls Omos and MVP out to the ring so they can get their eyes on a real monster. MVP shows up and says that Braun Strowman is nothing less than a monster of a man, but that was until last week when Braun found himself in the vicinity of a literal giant in Omos. MVP tells Braun to stay away from Omos to keep his "Monster Of All Monsters" or else he will be exposed, but Braun tells MVP that if Omos is so desperate to make him look normal, he can try to do that at Crown Jewel. MVP accepts the challenge on Omos' behalf, and as MVP talks about what Omos will do to him, Braun tells him he is more about action than talking. When Braun mentions that MVP is alone in the ring with him, MVP brings out Omos. Braun Strowman walks up to Omos and looks up at him, then Omos shoves Braun out of the ring. Braun gets up and laughs.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Drew McIntyre. McIntyre says that Karrion Kross has pushed him past his breaking point, then admits that he was called up to WWE Headquarters and that there will be "severe consequences" if he and Kross throw fists. He then says that this will end at Crown Jewel when he and Karrion Kross face off in a steel cage match.

Logan Paul arrives to the arena in a black limousine.

Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky) retain the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships against Raquel Rodriguez and Shotzi following the distraction from Bayley.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey. Ronda says she owes nobody anything and that she only gives out open challenges to prove she is the best. She says that she does nothing for the fans because they want their favorites to win, then says she will do an open challenge next week when she feels like it.

We see another set of odd images from Bray Wyatt, as well as another QR code. The last thing shown is what looks like an old man wearing a hat with barbed wire around it and the voice of an old man saying "Howdy."

Backstage, we hear from Santos Escobar. He says his family business is growing into an empire and is becoming prosperous, and that their latest acquisition is none other than Zelina Vega. Zelina says she has been successful at everything she has done and that Legado del Fantasma (Escobar, Cruz del Toro, Joaquin Wilde, Zelina) has no peers because they are head and shoulders above the rest. We then see Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro as Escobar says they are an unbreakable force. Escobar then says their legacy will begin with destroying Hit Row (B-Fab, Top Dolla, Ashante "Thee" Adonis). Backstage, Hit Row have been watching. Top Dolla says none of their heads reach his shoulders, and Ashante is tired of the attacks from behind. B-Fab tells them that she has an idea to deal with Legado del Fantasma.

Rey Mysterio beats Ludwig Kaiser after Giovanni Vinci and Gunther are ejected from ringside.

Logan Paul heads to the ring. He says that the fans may doubt him, but he has been doubted his whole life and he has made it. He says that he runs his mouth a lot, but that is because he is confident in himself and his abilities and does not need anyone to talk for him or two guys to protect him. He says that he has never seen Solo alone, and that he knows nobody who is like Sami Zayn. Logan then says he has the desire to be the best, and says that he is the underdog in this fight before pondering what would happen if he wins. Suddenly, he is attacked from behind by Jey Uso, Sami Zayn shows up and tells Jey Uso that he cannot do this after Roman Reigns told him not to, and that he has to leave the ring. Jey Uso tries to attack Logan again, but Logan avoids Jey and lays him out. Sami is unable to do anything but watch as Logan leaves the ring and Jey Uso lays on the mat.

Here are the top ten moments from tonight's show!
