Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for February 4, 2023

Dustin Starr interviews "The GunShow" Brett Michaels at the announce desk. Brett says he told Mike Anthony that he was done and that the Heritage Championship will stay around his waist. Suddenly, K-Toomer shows up. K-Toomer says that the Heritage Championship is what it is all about and that 2023 would be his year, then commends Brett Michaels on winning the title. He says that it will not be personal, but it will be all business in the ring. Suddenly, The Hollywood Clique shows up. Brett Michaels gets a "You suck!" chant going as "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock blames "Casanova" Colton Cage for not taking care of K-Toomer and tells him he should be more like Van Viciouss. He also says that Brett Michaels has big muscles and "a little pea brain," then challenges Brett and K-Toomer to a match against Van Viciouss and Colton Cage. K-Toomer accepts, and tells Van Viciouss he will kick his head off.

King Cobra shows up with the Cobra Cup and guests on commentary for the next match.

Jason Vain - formerly Adamas Vain - beats Kid Wrestling to advance in the Cobra Cup Tournament.

Backstage, James Ellsworth is making out an autograph for RynoJB when Matt Williams shows up and asks Ellsworth what he is doing. Storybook Prince Gaston shows up as Ellsworth tells Matt Williams that he is here because he did not get the job done, and says that the three of them will take care of things and to "stick to the plan."

Dustin Starr interviews Reverend Ash Taylor at the announce desk. Ash Taylor says he understands there is some animosity between himself and the fans, but he forgives them and he has prayed hard on the righteous path that has given him the path that he needs, as the fans are sheep who have went astray. He says that the fans need a firmer hand, and introduces "The Righteous Right Hand" Brother Red, a red-haired man in a white tanktop and brown overalls whom Ash Taylor considers his most devoted follower. Reverend Ash Taylor says that Brother Red will bring the fans back onto the righteous path before the two of them head to the ring.

Brother Red beats Gio Savage to advance in the Cobra Cup Tournament in his debut match following the distraction by Reverend Ash Taylor.

Backstage, Derrick King talks with King Cobra regarding what is going on with him as of late. King Cobra says the crown does not make Derrick King a king, and says there is a lot of talent and possibility in Derrick and Ray Ray Sanders and that they could win titles if they get on the same page.

Dustin Starr interviews James Ellsworth at the announce desk. James says he did not see anyone who looks like a woman in the women's division or in the crowd, then asks if he looks like a liar when the attack on Mackenzie Morgan is brought up. Suddenly, Mackenzie Morgan shows up. James says this is his interview time, then tells Mackenzie to make him a sandwich and come back when he tells him to. Mackenzie then says he recognizes the smell of James Ellsworth and says it was him who attacked her. James vehemently denies it and says he will call his lawyer and sue her, but Mackenzie says she knows it was him. As she rears back her first, she is grabbed by Matt Williams and Storybook Prince Gaston and taken into the ring. James then admits it was him and that he will finish the job, but he, Gaston and Matt Williams are chased out by Cassandra Golden and Nyxx.

We hear from "All Heart" Blake Christian, who says that he is coming home and to Memphis Wrestling. He then says he has been disappointed with "Problem Child" Aaron Roberts' actions as of late and that he wants to talk with him.

"The Best of the Best" Austin Lane guests on commentary for the next match.

Tim Bosby retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against Big Jack following the distraction by Bulletproof Bruce. After the match, Austin Lane wants to shake Tim Bosby's hand, but Bosby brushes up against him with his shoulder on the way to the back.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels and K-Toomer beat The Hollywood Clique (Van Viciouss and "Casanova" Colton Cage) after Colton Cage walks off on Van Viciouss.
