Backstage, Jimmy Jacobs interviews Michael Elgin, who says that everyone walks to talk about Slammiversary and "The Machine" Brian Cage, but he wants to talk about how he took Cage to the hospital on his first night in Impact. He tells Cage to lift as many weights as he wants and do everything he can to rehab himself , as he is facing him and he will shut him down. Suddenly, Johnny Impact and John E. Bravo show up and says it is an honor for Elgin to tag with him tonight, and he hopes Elgin is ready to do his part. Elgin says teaming with Johnny is a pleasure for most people, but all paths lead to the World Championship for him. While Tommy Dreamer's and The Great Muta's paths are a bit different, he plans to put them out to pasture tonight.
Moose beats Luchasaurus after nearly sending Luchasaurus into the ref at the corner before hitting a low blow outside of the referee's field of vision followed by No Jackhammer Needed.
We hear from oVe (Sami Callihan, Jake Crist, Dave Crist, Madman Fulton). Sami Callihan says they have been embarrassed week after week, and he is sick and tired of it. We hear from Willie Mack, who says that his match tonight with Teddy Hart and Rich Swann will be one crazy battle. He plans to walk away with the House of Hardcore Television Championship and prove why he is on top.
Taya Valkyrie retains the Impact Knockouts Championship against Jordynne Grace. During the match, John E. Bravo drags referee Brandon Tolle out of the ring following the Grace Driver, then hits Jordynne Grace in the face with a steel chair. Another referee has to show up to count the pinfall.
We hear from Teddy Hart, who states that House of Hardcore has given him an opportunity to return to the 2300 Arena. He guarantees a five-star match tonight with two men that he has seen grow in the business, and he hopes to walk out of the ring proving the loyalty he brings to the ring and the work effort that he still brings as a 40-year-old professional wrestler who is still tearing it up and eating everybody's lunch.

Sami Callihan beats Eddie Edwards in a Philly Street Fight. During the match, Madman Fulton gets involved, but The Sandman shows up and chases Fulton the back. Callihan ends up pinning Eddie with a schoolkid pin with a grabbing of the tights.
Before the next match, Joey Ryan - who advertises the next match as "touch it vs. suck it" - tells Billy Gunn that he would not be the first person to "touch it," then calls him so they can have their match. Instead of Billy Gunn, D'Lo Brown shows up and tells Joey Ryan that due to travel issues, Billy Gunn is not here tonight, and the match will be rescheduled as quickly as possible. D'Lo attempts to shake his hand, but Joey Ryan tries to get D'Lo Brown to touch his groin. Ryan then clips D'Lo in the knee and finally gets him to touch it before hitting the groin toss.
We hear from Tommy Dreamer, who says he has faced men like Michael Elgin and Johnny Impact throughout his career and that you learn why you are the kind of person you are as you get older. Dreamer says that he is the kind of person he is because of loss and the amazing memories that he misses seeing after having teamed with legends during his career. He asks Elgin and Johnny what they are going to do to him that has yet to be done, especially since he will be teaming with The Great Muta, and says that Elgin and Johnny will learn that experience will trump their egos every single time.
Tommy Dreamer and The Great Muta beat Johnny Impact and Michael Elgin in a match that sees Taya Valkyrie get hit with a cutter, a replica ECW World Heavyweight Championship being used as a weapon, John E. Bravo being hit with a Dreamer DDT, and Johnny Impact go through a table with Michael Elgin on top of it with a Death Valley Driver. During the match, Taya Valkyrie gets in an argument with a fan in the front. When she smacks the drink out of his hand, the fans responds by spitting on her as she walks away. This leads to the crowd chanting "Fuck this guy" and "Throw him out" while Johnny Impact flips the fan off and moons him. The fan is eventually ejected. Tommy Dreamer eventually gets on the microphone and states that Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is home to the most respectful wrestling fans before telling everyone to chill out, relax and enjoy the rest of the show before introducing The Great Muta into the match. After the match, Dreamer thanks The Great Muta for the honor of sharing the ring with him and being an inspiration throughout his career and thanks ECW for fostering the same work ethic as New Japan, and tells Muta he is welcome in House of Hardcore any time.
