Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for September 4, 2020

Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman show up to start tonight's show. Heyman says that Roman Reigns pulled him back in while he was out, and says that it is Roman corrupting him, not the other way around, as he was tossed aside into the shark-infested ocean of obscurity only to be pulled onto the island of relevancy by Roman. He says that "they" did the same thing to Roman that they did to him, and says that a fiend only does fiendish things and a monster does monstrous things, and that neither are fit to be champion. Heyman says that Roman's reign is designed around what WWE is supposedly built upon: family and accountability. He says that Roman will be a bigger champion than anyone else, and announces a Fatal 4-Way will decide who Roman will defend the Universal title against. Heyman then says that he serves as special counsel to the tribal chief and the reigning, defending, undisputed Universal Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns. Roman says he is a man of his word, and that he did what he said he would do at Payback: sign a contract, wrecked a fiend and a monster and left as Universal Champion. He says that he will slaughter whoever is put in front of him at Clash of Champions, as this is his island and all he needs to do is show up and win.

Backstage, Jey Uso welcomes Roman Reigns. Roman asks Paul Heyman to leave them alone - which he does - and when asked about Heyman, Roman says he has everything under control, then says he has to go after Jey says he has his back if he needs him.

Heavy Machinery (Tucker and Otis) beat The Miz and John Morrison. After the match, John Morrison steals Otis' Money In The Bank briefcase.

Backstage, The Lucha House Party (Kalisto, Lince Dorado, Gran Metalik) shows up as Drew Gulak and Big E have a cake ready for Xavier Woods' return on Talking Smack as well as his birthday. He also says that when he wins tonight, he will cash in his golden ticket on Roman Reigns. A security guard shows up and says that Xavier Woods has arrived, and when Big E goes out to meet him, he is Brogue Kicked and slammed into a car's windshield by Sheamus.

Backstage, medical personnel check on Big E. Kayla Braxton reports that Big E has suffered major lacerations and other serious internal injuries and will be taken to a local medical facility. Sheamus shows up, and when asked if he ambushed Big E, Sheamus says he was defending himself. He says that to reach the main event and grab the brass ring, one must remain focused, and he is focused on Matt Riddle and King Corbin while Big E is only thinking and laughing and dancing with Xavier Woods. He says that this could have been Big E's biggest night, but his friends dragged him back down again. He then says you can't dwell on anything, and then prepares for tonight's Fatal 4-Way Match. He then comes back and says the match will probably be a Triple Threat Match.

Backstage, Alyse Ashton interviews Sasha Banks and Bayley. Bayley says that she and Sasha had never seen Nia Jax and "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler as a team before and were not prepared at Payback, but now they have and they are now prepared, and they will take back the women's tag titles. On the subject of the Kirifuda Clutcha, Sasha then puts Bayley on a pedestal, and that she and Bayley have changed the game and that they are ready to take back the women's tag titles together.

Backstage, Adam Pearce says that Big E is on his way to being medically evaluated, and that Big E will not be able to compete tonight. Big E will be replaced with another competitor. Paul Heyman then shows up to have a word with Pearce.

Nia Jax and "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler retain the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships against Bayley and Sasha Banks with a middle rope cross body to Bayley and Sasha. After the match, medical personnel check on Sasha, who injured her left knee during the match after running it right into the ring post in an attempt to knee Baszler from the ring apron. After the commercial break, Sasha Banks refuses help from medical personnel. Bayley helps Sasha Banks towards the ring apron only to turn on her and target her injured leg on the steel steps. Bayley then proceeds to put a steel chair through Banks' injured leg. Sasha tries to fight back, and this leads Bayley to change her plans and place the chair around her neck. Bayley then leaps from the atop the corner and stomps the chair, injuring Sasha's neck. Medical personnel then tend to Sasha.

Backstage, Sasha Banks is taken into an ambulance.

Sami Zayn shows up. He demands that ring announcer Greg Hamilton announce him as the Intercontinental Championship, then grabs a headset and tells the production truck to refer to him as Intercontinental Champion. Suddenly, Jeff Hardy shows up. Jeff tells Sami that if he wanted a match, all he had to do was say so. Sami says he does not to say anything, and says Jeff should be asking him. Suddenly, AJ Styles shows up. Styles asks how both men can parade around with championship belts when he is the uncrowned champion. Jeff says he is ready to defend anytime while Sami says that is not how it works. Styles attacks Jeff, then Sami joins in only to be kicked by Styles. Styles goes for a Styles Clash on Sami, but gets the Twist of Fate from Jeff. Jeff then goes for a Twist of Fate on Sami, but Sami blocks it and hits the Helluva Kick on Jeff.

It is revealed that Big E has been replaced by Jey Uso in tonight's Fatal 4-Way Match.

We see a vignette of someone with high heels and a fur coat.

Backstage, Otis reveals to Tucker that the contract is in his lunchbox. Meanwhile, The Miz and John Morrison find out that Otis' lunch is in the real briefcase. Meanwhile, Jey Uso thanks Roman Reigns for putting him in tonight's Fatal 4-Way. Before the next match, King Corbin complains that the match has been tainted by blatant nepotism. Matt Riddle runs up to Corbin and attacks him as he continues to speak. Sheamus runs in and gets Matt Riddle into the ring, then Jey Uso runs in and fights Corbin as Sheamus fights Riddle in the ring.

It's time for Firefly Fun House. Bray Wyatt says that The Fiend lost his favorite toy again, then announces that a brand new friend is coming to the Firefly Fun House next week.

Backstage, Ramblin' Rabbit is in the background as Alexa Bliss apologizes to Nikki Cross for her actions last week. Alexa hugs Nikki, then leaves.

Jey Uso beats Matt Riddle, King Corbin and Sheamus in a Fatal 4-Way Match to face Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at Clash of Champions. After the match, Kayla Braxton interviews Jey, wh otells Roman Reigns he made the family proud, too, but now it's time for lockdown in the Uso Penitentiary.

He then meets with Vince, who asks him to get signatures from Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman on the contract for their match at Payback. Vince recommends he start with Bray Wyatt first, and gives him "the proper attire" for Firefly Fun House before telling him to say hello to Huskus The Pig Boy for him.

Jeff Hardy shows up to start tonight's show. He says that after what "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles did to his knee last week, he is glad to be standing anywhere, much less the ring, and as he says he is ready to defend the Intercontinental Championship, Styles shows up. Styles calls Jeff a liar and a cheat, then says he has had knee injuries before and did not whine and cry to a doctor to get an illegal object on his knee. He says that Jeff had a plan involving the brace he got last week, and that he had him beat last week. Styles says that Jeff knew what he was doing and knew how to play the system, and says that the doctor who treated Jeff will not medically clear him tonight, blaming him for that. Jeff says he was about to issue a challenge...to anyone but him. As Styles becomes further aggressive towards Jeff, Jeff hits Styles with a forearm.

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles guests on commentary for the next match.

Jeff Hardy retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura in an open challenge that sees Jeff toss Nakamura into "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles at the announce table. After the match, Sami Zayn shows up for the first time in months with an Intercontinental Championship belt of his own and declares himself the real Intercontinental Championship before both men look at Styles, who is in the ring. Sami Zayn kicks Jeff Hardy in the face as Jeff looks at Styles, then calls Jeff a fraud and leaves.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Sami Zayn, who says that Jeff Hardy is pretending to be the Intercontinental Champion much like AJ Styles before him, and calls them fradulent champions. When asked why he has not defended the championship for five months, he says he has many reasons and that he is a man of the world and the true Intercontinental Champion in every sense of the word. He then speaks in French and leaves.

It's time for Firefly Fun House. Bray Wyatt says it feels good to be back home with all of his friends, but he cannot help but feel something is missing. He then produces the WWE Universal Championship, and neither monster can take it away this time. He then tells Roman Reigns that it has been a long time and that it is good to see him again. The doorbell then ring, and Adam Pearce shows up dressed as a postman. When "Postman Pearce" asks him to sign the contract for the match at Payback, Bray asks why. He says there is a connection between Bray and "him," then Bray signs. He says that if he knows The Fiends like he does, he just signed a couple of death warrants. "Postman Pearce" then leaves while being weirded out towards Bray, and the segment ends.

Matt Riddle shows up. Riddle says that King Corbin has said that anyone who felt he did not belong on SmackDown was welcome to the King's Ransom, and says that Corbin is scared to face him. He then tells Corbin that if he has something to prove to prove him wrong. After the commercial break, Riddle is still waiting for Corbin, and calls him out again. Bayley and Sasha Banks show up. Bayley says this is one of the most difficult weeks of her and Sasha's careers, as they have had to defend both of their singles titles and will soon have to defend the Women's tag titles at Payback. She then says that she and Sasha are still the best tag team in the history of the women's division, but when Sasha gets cross with her, Bayley says that Asuka beating her for the Raw Women's Championship is all her fault. After mentioning Sasha's inability to defend a singles title, she says that they have to keep moving forward and that they cannot lose at Payback. Sasha agrees, and says that while Bayley has her back, they can get through anything. She says that while she is no longer "Two Belts Banks," they are still best friends and she knows who she is. Suddenly, "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax show up on the TitanTron. Shayna says Sasha and Bayley's week is about to get worse, and Nia says she hates them even more than Shayna. Backstage, Cesaro asks Nakamura to let him know when he goes for a singles title as they are a time, then Sami Zayn shows up and meets them for the first time in months. Sami says this was part of his plan. As he proceeds to celebrate with "fellow champions," Cesaro tells Sami that they were in the middle of a private conversation. Sami seems slighted and says that he had to go, then leaves.

After footage of what happened between Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville from last week, as well as microphones cutting out, Mandy Rose's hair is introduced as tonight's guest via satellite. A blonde wig with googly eyes pasted on is on the TitanTron, and John Morrison provides the voice for Mandy's hair as he and The Miz continue to make fun of what is going on between Mandy and Sonya as well as to make hair jokes. The Miz then gives "a Dirt Sheet welcome" to "the real victim" in the situation: Sonya Deville. Suddenly, Braun Strowman's voice is heard. Strowman then appears on the TitanTron, saying he does not give a damn about Alexa and that all he cares about is destroying The Fiend. He said he would either come out of the swamp "the most evil son-of-a-bitch" or someone with the satisfaction of destroying The Fiend. He says he "the most evil son-of-a-bitch" the world has ever laid eyes on, and while he tried to resist it, he has let it out and he is living out his destiny. Sheamus says Jeff must take the test or else he will not get in the ring, calling Jeff "a junkie." Jeff admits he is an alcoholic, and says that if this is what he has to do to get to Sheamus, then so be it. Jeff says he is sick and tired of being sick and tired, and says that to feed his demons, sometimes he has to square up with "a bastard" like Sheamus, and says he will go through "[Sheamus'] B.S." Sheamus then brings up Jeff's family as well as his history with addiction, then Jeff takes the urine and throws it at him. Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for March 20, 2020

Just like last week's show, this week's show is in the WWE Performance Center.

It is announced that WrestleMania is "too big for one night' and will air on April 4th and April 5th, then it is announced that NFL alumni Rob Gronkowski will host this year's WrestleMania. Mojo Rawley joins Michael Cole in introducing Rob Gronkowski, who dances on his way to the ring. Gronk says he has been watching since second grade from the nosebleed seats when WWE came to his hometown, and that he has watched in Orlando, Florida to support Mojo when only five people were in the crowd. He then says he is ready to host WrestleMania. Mojo tells Gronk he has his back, as WWE is a bit different than the NFL as he is a target anywhere at anytime. Mojo and Gronk then mess around, with Gronk hitting a few knife edge chops on Mojo, then King Corbin shows up. Corbin tells Gronk he is setting himself up for failure taking advice from Mojo, then says he expects him to get on his knees and bow down. Corbin then says this is not for Gronk, as there is no protective gear in WWE and he is better and stronger than him. As Corbin tells Gronk to get in line, Elias shows up and plays a song where he says that Gronk will rip Corbin's head off as Gronk and Mojo dance around. Corbin takes offense to everything going on, and Gronk shoves Corbin back into Mojo, who is waiting from behind ready to trip Corbin. Before Corbin can hurt Gronk, Elias gets in the ring and tosses him out. Gronk then advocates as host that Corbin and Elias have a match at WrestleMania.

Sami Zayn guests on commentary for the next match.

Daniel Bryan and Drew Gulak beat Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura with a top rope Sunset Flip from Daniel to Cesaro as Cesaro holds Gulak down.

An encore presentation of WrestleMania 30 will air on ESPN this Sunday at 7 PM Eastern/4 PM Pacific.

Backstage, Daniel Bryan and Drew Gulak celebrate their victory as they stretch, then Sami Zayn shows up with Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro and tells Daniel that Gulak is only teaching him to be mediocre and "squeak by." As Sami Zayn asks Daniel Bryan when he will start listening to him and tells an angry Gulak he is untouchable, Daniel tells Sami he is barely a champion and challenges him to put his money where his mouth is and defend the Intercontinental Championship against him at WrestleMania. Sami says that he will accept his challenge if Gulak can somehow barely beat Nakamura in a one-on-one match, Daniel Bryan accepts that challenge without a second thought.

Michael Cole is about to interview Paige via Skype when Bayley and Sasha Banks show up, telling Cole to go away so they can talk to Paige themselves. Paige says it is bad enough having to listen to Bayley and Sasha run the women's division down on SmackDown, and says that it takes more than greatness to change hearts, and that it also takes courage that Bayley and Sasha lack. Bayley says it's not her fault she's the greatest, and Paige that while her career is over due to something beyond her control that she would not wish on anyone, she cannot wait to see who takes the SmackDown Women's Championship from Bayley. Paige she will be announcing Bayley's SmackDown Women's Championship match at WrestleMania, where Bayley will defend the title against Lacey Evans, Dana Brooke and Tamina (the last after Bayley jokingly mentions her) and Naomi. Sasha calls Paige a "bitch," and this also causes Paige to add Sasha to the match and make the match a Six-Pack Challenge. Bayley is livid.

The Miz and John Morrison note that they do not have any challengers, then asks the nonexistent audience whom they should defend the SmackDown Tag Team Championships against. We then see Miz and Morrison in a New Day shirt and a unicorn costume recommend The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E), then we see Miz and Morrison in Usos shirts recommend The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) and Miz and Morrison dressed as bacon recommending Heavy Machinery (Tucker and Otis). Suddenly, the real Heavy Machinery shows up.

Otis grabs Ziggler, but Miz and Morrison stop him from hitting Ziggler with a chair. Otis grabs Ziggler, but Miz and Morrison stop him from hitting Ziggler with a chair. This causes Otis to lose his cool and take his anger out on Miz and Morrison, and he plows both men through the barricade. Tucker tries to talk Otis out of using a steel chair, but Otis hits Miz and Morrison with it anyway, causing Miz and Morrison to win by disqualification. Tucker has to comfort Otis after Otis throws an announce table chair over the barricade, breaking it.

Roman then says he sees "a little bitch bulldog carrying a title that he never earned" in Goldberg before signing the contract. Goldberg says he has destroyed steel doors all across the world for years with his headbutt, and says that Roman will be the next victim before he signs the contract. Goldberg then tosses the table to the side before he and Roman have a staredown to end the show.

Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for December 20, 2019

Daniel Bryan shows up to start tonight's show. Daniel says he doesn't know what happened to him, and that he felt "The Fiend" viscerally rip out his beard and hair, and all he noticed is that the brand he created was gone, and when his daughter saw him without the long hair and beard, she cried. He says that while his daughter did not recognize him, he recognized himself, as he saw the man who had never been given opportunity, which became the man who kicked Bray Wyatt's ass. Daniel says that Bray Wyatt may have succeeded at changing him, but he will change Bray Wyatt, too, and calls out Bray saying that he will make him feel pain that he is unable to feel. Instead of Bray, Daniel gets The Miz. The Miz tells Daniel Bryan that what happened to him may have been awful, but Bray Wyatt attacked his family and that TLC was about protecting his family, which is something that Bray will never have. Miz says that Bray has nothing but puppets in his fantasy world, and that he will take away the one thing he treasures most: the Universal title. Suddenly, King Corbin shows up. Corbin mocks what The Miz was put through by Bray Wyatt, and says that if The Miz's daughter had a few more of his wife's genes, it would not have been as scary. He also makes fun of Daniel Bryan's daughter not recognizing Daniel, and says that Daniel's brand is failure. Corbin boasts about his win at TLC last Sunday, and "Here is your winner...King Corbin" is played over and over again before Corbin says that the next Universal Championship shot belongs to him, not Miz or Daniel. He also states that Miz and Daniel have failed as both Superstars and fathers. We hear from Sheamus, who says that all things that change and that change is good for the soul, but that change was not good for SmackDown because the soul left with him and SmackDown became soft, weak and small as a result. Bayley beats Dana Brooke. After the match, Bayley and Sasha Brown verbally put Dana Brooke down, and Lacey Evans shows up and runs them out of the ring. Lacey Evans calls out Sasha, saying she is more of a "legit bully with a big mouth and no backbone" than a "legit boss," then challenges her to a match right now so she can make her a "legit loser."

As Ziggler asks everyone to hail Corbin, The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) show up. Big E says he and Kofi could not help but overhear Corbin talking about "ruling an imaginary kingdom" and uttering their name, then Corbin mocks Kofi losing the WWE Championship to Brock Lesnar. Kofi then says he still considers himself a champion of the people - something he is proud of - and while he admits that Corbin had a good year, he had a better one as WWE Champion. Kofi then says he did not whine and complain on social media after losing the WWE title, and that he picked himself up, dusted himself off and kept moving forward, and now The New Day are seven-time tag team champions. Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura show up as things get heated, and they and Sami leave before Cesaro throws the ham on the floor.

The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) beat Shorty G and Mustafa Ali.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Bayley. Bayley says Lacey Evans may impress some people, but that means nothing to her, and that she does everything she does in the ring for herself now. She says that she and Sasha Banks - who is out recording a hip hop album - are the best and that Lacey picked a fight with the wrong people. Suddenly, Elias plays his guitar, and Bayley gets irritated with him. Elias then plays a song with Bayley as part of the Secret Santa gift exchange going on backstage in which he proceeds to make fun of Bayley. Layin 'da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for November 22, 2019

At the start of the show, the SmackDown roster is addressed by SmackDown's men's Survivor Series team. Roman Reigns tells everyone that NXT is coming tonight, and that they will not be cowards like King Corbin; instead, they will let NXT in and beat them. King Corbin starts arguing with Roman, but Sasha Banks says she waits for nobody and that her team is ready to take care of business right now.

SmackDown's women's Survivor Series team (Sasha Banks, Lacey Evans, Dana Brooke, Nikki Cross, Carmella) shows up. Sasha says this is their ring and their show, and that they are ready to put their differences aside and take care of business, as nobody will attack them from behind. She says that NXT doesn't have the guts to return, and that she knows Raw is here. She calls out Raw's women's team, and Raw's women's team (Charlotte Flair, Sarah Logan, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Natalya) shows up. Charlotte thanks SmackDown for opening the door - even though they would have kicked it down, anyway - and proposes to Sasha they go one-on-one for old times' sake. As the Raw and SmackDown teams argue, NXT's women's team (Rhea Ripley, Candice LeRae, Tegan Nox, Mia Yim and a quietly revealed without fanfare Toni Storm) show up. Rhea Ripley states that NXT has guts, and decides to put herself in the proposed match. A series of verbal arguments turns into a brawl between all three sides.

Rhea Ripley beats Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks with a crucifix pin to Charlotte after getting underneath Charlotte during the Figure Eight and pinning her. After the match, Charlotte and Sasha go at it, and Raw and SmackDown's women's teams brawl. All the while, NXT's team makes fun of both teams while Raw is forced to stand down and SmackDown stands tall in the ring.

Backstage, King Corbin tells Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode they will lead by example, and says that when NXT shows up, they will let NXT beat up Roman Reigns and his partners in their six-man tag match so they can do it again themselves. Suddenly, Sami Zayn shows up. Corbin tells Ziggler and Roode that Sami is annoying, and Sami dares Corbin to call him annoying to his face before his entrance music hits.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Bayley. Bayley says she is prepared, as she is the only person to win all of the current women's titles. She says that if "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Bazler shows up, she is ready, as she is too impulsive for her own good. She says that Baszler only attacks when her back is turned, and that she is waiting and ready for her when she is done hiding in the shadows.

Before the next match, Sami Zayn says King Corbin will not show up because she is afraid of him and Shinsuke Nakamura, just like everyone else. He then says the one word Corbin cannot call him is "annoying," and says the one word that does describe him is "stud," for as big of a stud he is, Nakamura is bigger to the point that he has given him a brand new Intercontinental Championship. He and Nakamura then trade belts, saying that this is the only way to take the title off Nakamura, then he and Nakamura make fun of Roderick Strong's name. Suddenly, The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O"Reilly, Roderick Strong) show up. As Sami and Nakamura get out of the ring, Adam Cole introduces The Undisputed Era before proclaiming that they will wipe the floor with Raw and SmackDown. Suddenly, The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) show up, and Kofi says that The New Day never got a chance to give them a proper goodbye when they last met. He then proposes a match between The New Day and The Undisputed Era to settle the score. The Undisputed Era like the idea of a four-on-two team, but Heavy Machinery (Tucker and Otis) arrive to back The New Day up.

The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O"Reilly, Roderick Strong) beat The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) and Heavy Machinery (Tucker and Otis). After the match, Roderick Strong confronts Shinsuke Nakamura on the ramp when they are both attacked by "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles. Sami Zayn hits Styles with a chair before doing the same to Strong. The rest of The Undisputed Era chases Sami to the back.

After the commercial break, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles says he is the best thing going on in Chicago, Illinois and that he is not going anywhere to prove who The O.C. (Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson) really are. As the crowd chants "CM Punk," Styles says that he would wipe the floor with him, then mocks Sami Zayn for hitting him with a steel chair and tells Roderick Strong to enjoy his fifteen minutes of fame before Daniel Bryan shows up. Daniel then says he is here to summon "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt, and says that while he does not care what goes on in his mind, Bray does not know what goes on in his. He calls out Bray so that they can have a face-to-face meeting before Sunday. He also says that if talking doesn't have fun, then they can fight. As Daniel keeps talking, the lights go out. When they come back on, nothing has happened. Daniel is undeterred, and continues to call Bray out. Instead, he gets The Miz. Miz says that it has become clear that unlike Daniel, he is a professional, and says he had to hold back after being disrespected on his own. Daniel says he doesn't care, but Miz says the feeling is mutual. After stating he hopes that Bray tears him apart, he says that he tried to help Daniel since day one to no avail, then proceeds to slap him in the face.

The Miz vs. Daniel Bryan ends in a no-contest. During the match, the lights go out. When they come back on, they are all red, and The Miz is replaced by "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt, who puts the Mandible Claw on Daniel Bryan.

"The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler shows up. Baszler says she has heard what Bayley had to say about her, and that Bayley is getting the message. She then calls Bayley out. She is then attacked from behind by Bayley, starting a brawl. Baszler soon gets the upper hand and puts her in the Kirifuda Clutch as Bayley tries to escape. Bayley escapes the hold after mutiple attempts after pushing Baszler into the ring post, but Baszler is fired up by that and Bayley runs to the back.

King Corbin, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode beat Roman Reigns, Shorty G and Mustafa Ali. After the match, Roman hits Corbin with the Superman Punch, then the Raw locker room comes down from the crowd. Seth gets in the ring with Roman, and both men brawl before the Raw locker room floods ringside. Suddenly, Braun Strowman and the SmackDown locker room runs in to fight off the Raw Superstars. This is soon followed by Triple H and "The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels leading the entire NXT locker room into the arena in an army Jeep. The entire NXT roster runs towards the ring, starting a massive three-brand brawl. The show ends with a standoff in the ring between Keith Lee and Braun Strowman. He then admits he is not he man he used to be. Daniel also says he may be washed up and mentally unstable, but he still has the passion that he had all that time. Miz tries to talk over him, but Daniel tells him to shut up and says the mental stability combined with his passion got him to new heights. Raw Deal - Raw recap for September 30, 2019

Rey Mysterio shows up to start tonight's show. Rey talks about his match against Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship later tonight, then thanks his son Dominick - who is sitting in the front row - stating that he owes this moment to him and that he will take the Universal Championship home. Suddenly, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman show up. Lesnar takes the microphone and hands it to Heyman, but Rey takes it back before Heyman can say a word. Rey only says a few words before Lesnar hits Rey with an F5. Lesnar then picks Rey up and puts him in another F5, then stares down Dominick from a distance. He then leaves the ring and approaches Dominick, who sits down. This does not stop Lesnar from tossing Dominick over the guardrail and slamming him around at ringside. After sending Dominick into the ring post and slamming him on the floor, Lesnar gets Dominick in the ring and hits a German suplex as a referee shows up. Rey crawls to Dominick, but falls victim to a third F5. Lesnar then walks up the ramp, but stops less than halfway up it before getting back in the ring, suplexing Rey and then suplexing Dominick. At this point, Heyman begs Lesnar to stop as multiple referees and officials are at ringside.
