Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews King Corbin, who just puts his crown on, laughs and leaves.

Shorty Gable beats Curtis Axel with the ankle lock. After the match, Kayla Braxton interviews Gable, who says that his height is what makes him who he is and not what holds him back, and that it is okay to be who you are. He then says there are always going to be people who will make fun of him, and he thanks those people, as they have made him look deep and embrace who he is. He tells the fans that they can overcome and accept who they are, for he accepts who he is. He then says he is "Shorty Gable," then says "Wait...let's shorten that up...I'm Shorty G."

It is announced that Seth Rollins is no longer part of Team Hogan at Crown Jewel due to his match against "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt.

Hulk Hogan is interviewed via Skype. He says he has chased after "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair for a long time, and that he's got a new captain. He also mentions that he has added Shorty Gable and Ali to his team, as they have stood out the most in the back. He says there will be a huge announcement as to who it will be at the end of the show.

We see a video package for Ali.

It's time for Miz TV. Tonight's guest is Bayley, who shows up with Sasha Banks. Sasha Banks announces that Bayley is the first-ever women's Grand Slam Champion, then Bayley's sudden change in attitude and appearance is addressed. Bayley says she does not owe Miz or anybody an explanation, then questions if Bayley thinks she think she is stuck in Sasha's shadow. Sasha says Bayley does not have to listen to anybody, but Miz says he does not have to do much to stay relevant. Bayley says she destroyed the Bayley Buddies because they always defined her, and says she gave headbands and high-fives to the fans and that all the fans did was take. She says she would elevate the division, and she did, and says nobody was there for her along the way. She says that all people did was destroy her, but she picked herself up like the role model that she was and kept going. She then says that the women's division is lazy and lacks desire and passion, and she used to be what the fans wanted her to be. Bayley then says that she outgrew them, and tells any fans who want inspiration that "life sucks and then you die." Suddenly, Nikki Cross shows up and says the time for talking id done and the time for action is now. She tells Bayley to make herself comfortable so she can give her a great big hug once she wins. Suddenly, Dana Brooke shows up. Dana says she is tired of being under-utilized and overlooked, and calls tonight a brand new beginning. She says she will give the fans something to cheer about, as "flex appeal" is here. Suddenly, Lacey Evans shows up.
