Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for October 18, 2019



Michael Elgin beats Fallah Bahh. After the match, Elgin almost walks up the ramp, then returns tot he ring and attacks TJP before hitting him with a DDT on the exposed wooden floor to send a message to Naomichi Marufuji. Elgin then pulls a steel chair out from underneath the ring, then wraps it around TJP's head and rams TJP into the ring post. He then gets TJP in the ring and hits with a powerbomb into the corner followed by a spinning Elgin Bomb.



Jake Crist beats Chris Bey.



The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is Drago, Aerostar and King Cuerno vs. Dezmond Xavier, Andrew Everett and DJ Z at Impact vs. Lucha Underground at Wrestlecon 2018.

Backstage, Ace Austin talks with Alisha Edwards about the Ladder Match for the X Division Championship. Alisha thinks Ace is overconfident, but Ace insists that he will win the title and go to a ton of parties, and asks Alisha to come with him. Ace asks Alisha to at least celebrate with him if he wins the title. She tells him that she will. As Alisha walks away, Ace says "That's all I need."

We see a video package for Ken Shamrock vs. Moose at Bound For Glory.



Taya Valkyrie is seen talking about Tenille Dashwood, and says that while she has studied her well, Tenille does not know who she is. At Bound For Glory, she will show Tenille just how much she has changed and retain the Knockouts title.

Rich Swann beats "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander and Rhino after Rob Van Dam and Willie Mack confront Ethan Page for distracting Rich Swann and getting involved in the match, which leads to Rich Swann being sent into all three men by Josh Alexander and the .



We hear from Sami Callihan, who says it has been two years since he debuted in Impact unannounced, and that it is time that he becomes Impact World Champion. He then dumps the special effects his promos usually have in an attempt to "get real," and talks about how he created his own professional wrestling career on his own terms, and says that no matter what he does, nobody ever "got" him. He states that he never wanted to do what he did to Eddie Edwards, Pentagon Jr., Rich Swann and "The Machine" Brian Cage to get accepted, and says he just wanted to play mind games. He says that he just wanted to be accepted and acknowledged as the best, and that this is not the Sami Callihan he wanted to show, but at the same time, this is the Sami Callihan the fans created, and he is not sorry for any of that. He then says that when he cripples Brian Cage and becomes World Champion, everyone will have to admit that he is the best. He then tells anyone who thinks this is too real for them to go fuck themselves.



Rohit Raju vs. Sabu in an X Division Championship Ladder Match Qualifier ends in a double count-out after Sabu puts Rohit Raju through a table.



Backstage, Tessa Blanchard says she is no stranger to ladder matches or being beaten up by four men at one time, and even after what oVe (Sami Callihan, Jake Crist, Dave Crist, Madman Fulton) has done to her, everything has led her to this. She has come to Impact to be at the pinnacle, and on Sunday, she will knock off Jake Crist to become the first female X Division Champion. After that, Sami Callihan is next.



Mahabali Shera last eliminates Eddie Edwards to win an over-the-top battle royal. As per pre-match stipulation, Shera enters the Call Your Shot Battle Royal at Bound For Glory at #20, while Eddie, being the last person to be eliminated in the match, enters the battle royal at #1.



The show ends with a rundown of the Bound For Glory card.
