This Is Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for October 22, 2019

We see a video package for Michael Elgin.

Kiera Hogan guests on commentary for the next match.

Madison Rayne beats Shotzi Blackheart.



We see a video package for Havok vs. Rosemary vs. Su Yung vs. Taya Valkyrie for the Knockouts Championship at Slammiversary XVII.

Don Callis interviews Ace Austin on the set of Austin's first feature film. Austin says his phone hasn't stopped buzzing since he won the X Division Championship. After Austin chats with a female co-star, Austin says he is not nervous and that superstardom is his game. Austin then leaves when he is needed on set, and another female co-star shows up thinking Don Callis is Dino Velvet.



We see the end of The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) vs. The Latin-American Xchange (Santana and Ortiz) where The North ends LAX's Impact careers.

We hear from The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander). Alexander says all eyes will be on them, and Page says they will throw the company a bone when they give the fans the best in the entire company. Alexander then says that they will be issuing an open challenge on Impact's AXS TV debut to any tag team in the back.



We hear from Ken Shamrock after his match at Bound For Glory, saying that he doesn't know what will happen from here.

Moose is interviewed via satellite, and he is seen celebrating with a few people. He says he does not feel any sympathy for Ken Shamrock, saying he did to Shamrock what he promised he would do and telling Shamrock to go back to the retirement home. He then says he will be on Impact's AXS TV debut, and that he will prove why he is a legend.



Melissa Santos interviews Taya Valkyrie. Taya Valkyrie brags about her 2019, then we see her match against Tenille Dashwood from Bound For Glory. Afterwards, Taya says she feels amazing and says she will go down as the greatest Knockouts of all time. She mentions that her first match ever was against Tenille Dashwood and that Bound For Glory was full circle. After stating that nothing could prepare Tenille for her at Bound For Glory, Impact on AXS TV is next for her. She then brags that she has changed people's lives since she became Knockouts Champion. When Melissa asks Taya how she knows, Taya says she has ears on the ground. We then see footage of John E. Bravo interviewing people in the Toronto, Ontario, Canada about how their lives have changed since Taya became champion. The footage is less than flattering, and Taya runs out asking how John E. Bravo could screw everything up.

It is announced that The North's ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) open challenge has been accepted and answered, as Naomichi Marufuji will face "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander next week on AXS TV.

Josh Mathews and Scott D'Amore interview "The Machine" Brian Cage. Cage admits his World title reign may not have gone as well as he had wanted, but he is still World Champion. After his successful title defense against Sami Callihan at Bound For Glory is replayed, Cage says Bound For Glory was the feel-good moment he and the fans needed, and he is looking forward to his next challenge. As Cage is about to talk about what is next, Sami Callihan barges in and demands a rematch for the World Championship next week. When he brings up Cage's daughter, Cage grabs him, and Sami reveals that oVe knows where he lives. Callihan then shows Cage footage of the rest of oVe near Cage's home, then dares Cage to break his neck so that nobody can call them off. Cage lets him go, then Callihan gives him a choice between saving his daughter and breaking his neck. Cage gives Callihan his World title rematch in order to call oVe off, then warns Callihan that he will tear him limb from limb.



Sami Callihan vs. "The Machine" Brian Cage for the Impact World Championship is official for next week, and it will be a steel cage match.

Josh Mathews and Scott D'Amore interview D'Lo Brown. D'Lo states that if Cage allows Sami Callihan to get into his head, Callihan will become World Champion. He states that Cage must maintain his focus and composure in order to stay World Champion.

We see a video package for Tessa Blanchard.

Ace Austin is seen preparing for a scene for his movie.

We see a video package of Eddie Edwards' trials and tribulations throughout 2019.

We look back on the Ultimate X Match at Homecoming.

We see Ace Austin on set at his new movie, shooting a scene. It turns out that the movie is a pornographic movie, if the clapper saying "MeanBitches.com" is any indication.

Jimmy Jacobs interviews Johnny Swinger. He says that the youngsters have all the hot moves and are missing a few things, and he is here to give back to Impact Wrestling by taking someone under his wing and teaching everything he knows. When asked how fans can get a hold of him on social media, Johnny Swinger gives out the address for his fan club instead.

The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier, Trey Miguel, Zachary Wentz) beat Dr. Wagner Jr., Taurus and Aerostar in a Lucha Rules match from Bound For Glory.
