Underground Sound - Lucha Underground recap for May 4, 2016

Dario Cueto is fixing the roof of his office when Catrina shows up. They talk about last week's match, but Catrina says that Dario Cueto fears Mil Muertes and that Dario will need more than fear to protect him if Mil doesn't get his rematch. Dario says that Matanza fears nothing, and that the stone Catrina holds is nothing compared to the power his key unlocks. The rematch is granted for next week, and Dario Cueto makes it a Grave Consequences match - Mil Muertes' speciality. Catrina is impressed, saying Dario is braver than she thought. She accepts the match. Dario Cueto then raises the stakes even more: there will be four coffins in the match instead of one. Catrina tells Dario she loves the way he thinks, and that after next week, there will be no question of who destroyed who. After Catrina leaves, Dario Cueto says "I count on it."

The Mack beats Marty "The Moth" Martinez to earn one of the seven ancient Aztec medallions.

Catrina meets with King Cuerno. She is entrusting El Siniestro de la Muerte with the Gift of the Gods Championship, but Cuerno says her disciple is his prey. He also says that if Mil Muertes takes the Lucha Underground Championship back next week, he will hunt him down for it.

Sexy Star meets with Dario Cueto in his office. Dario Cueto knows they haven't gotten belong, and knows what Marty "The Moth" Martinez and Mariposa has done to her from the look in her eyes, and tells her about his and Matanza's experiences with their mother and how they finally stopped putting up with it. Dario Cueto then puts Sexy Star in a "No Mas" match against Mariposa, and tells her to take the same look of terror she has and put it on Mariposa's face by piling on the pain after she says she's had enough.

El Siniestero de la Muerte beats King Cuerno to earn one of the seven ancient Aztec medallions after Catrina attacks King Cuerno with the stone containing Mil Muertes' power.

Famous B meets up with Mascarita Sagrada, telling him he's set him up with a match with someone who already has an Aztec medallion and is willing to put it on the line.

Chavo Guerrero, Jr. shows up in Dario Cueto, asking why he doesn't have a match for an ancient Aztec medallion. Dario Cueto says he doesn't deserve one, after losing his chance at winning the Lucha Underground Championship and losing Aztec Warfare, and wants him to prove himself. Chavo decides to take things into his own hands.

Famous B introduces his new client, Mascarita Sagrada, who is accompanied by Brenda from the Famous B commercials. Unfortunately, he finds out that his opponent is Cage, and Mascarita Sagrada curses his predicament.

Cage quickly beats Mascarita Sagrada. After the match, however, Chavo Guerrero, Jr. shows up and steals Cage's ancient Aztec medallion, and Cage doesn't notice until Famous B tells him "you got robbed." Cage then chases after Chavo Guerrero, Jr.

Sexy Star beats Mariposa in a bloody, brutal "No Mas" match with a Cross Arm Breaker to earn one of the seven ancient Aztec medallions. The Mack helps out, fighting off Marty "The Moth" Martinez. After the match, Sexy Star takes Dario Cueto's advice and reapplies the Cross Arm Bar to pile on more pain. After that, The Mack helps Sexy Star up, hands her the ancient Aztec medallion, and the two of them celebrate in the ring as the crowd chants "You deserve it."
