Underground Sound - Lucha Underground recap for May 11, 2016

In a YouTube exclusive uploaded one day before this week's episode, Fenix beats Jack Evans.

Dario Cueto heads to a bar and meets with the man who told Captain Vasquez to stop with the case on Dario Cueto. Cueto hands him some money, and the man says that his employer will be very pleased. Before Cueto can leave, the man insists he stay for a drink. Cueto has a beer while the other guy has a whiskey. The man tells Cueto that the police have a file open on him and that there may be somebody on the inside in the temple. He says that the temple is very important to his employer, and that his employer is going to show up personally to see it and that he has been waiting a very long time. He asks if Dario thought his brother Matanza would have all the fun before they drink their shots.

Joey Ryan beats Mr. Cisco and Cortez Castro in a triple threat match after grabbing Castro's tights to earn one of the seven ancient Aztec medallions.

Catrina and Mil Muertes are in Mil Muertes' lair. Catrina says she's waited 197 years for this moment, and knows that Mil Muertes went through hell before she freed him from Death's grip and made him more powerful than ever, and that it was all part of her plan. Tonight, she expects Mil Muertes to destroy Matanza Cueto, and that she hopes to give Matanza the Kiss of Death before he closes the coffin on Matanza and becomes Lucha Underground Champion again. Meanwhile, King Cuerno steps out from behind the latar, knowing what's going on.

Rey Mysterio Jr., Prince Puma and El Dragon Azteca Jr. retain the Lucha Underground Trios Championships against Ivelisse, Son of Havoc and Johnny Mundo. Taya attacks Ivelisse after the match after the two couldn't get along during it.

Matanza Cueto retains the Lucha Underground Championship against Mil Muertes in a Graver Consequences match. During the match, Matanza knocks Catrina unconscious and places her in a coffin along with the stone that holds Mil Muertes' power. As the coffin containing Mil Muertes is taken out of the erna, it is revealed that the hooded man at the back of the coffin is King Cuerno.

The mayor's aide gives the money - $50,000 in all - to his employer inside of a limousine. The inside of the limo gets darker, and says that Dario Cueto believes his brother Matanza Cueto is the most powerful being on earth, but says that's not true as his employer boasts that title, and he calls him "My lord." The last thing we see is a blue flame lighting a cigar.
