Shane McMahon shows up to start off tonight's Raw, and Stephanie McMahon joins him not long afterwards. They announce SmackDown will go live on Tuesday nights on July 19th, then announce tht tonight is the return of John Cena. Suddenly, The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) are happy to hear the announcement regarding SmackDown, but says it also has brought some paranoia and word is going around that this is leading to a brand extension. Kofi wants to know where The New Day is going, but Stephanie says they will find out in due time. The New Day think Stephanie is dodging the question, and after some thought, they are afraid that The New Day will be split up. Stephanie says that nothing has officially been decided yet. They then ask who will run SmackDown, and Stephanie says that hasn't been figured out either. They then challenge Stephanie to a dance challenge to decide who runs it, and Shane accepts. Xavier declares that the power of positivity is strong with Shane. Stephanie is about to take the challenge when The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch) show up.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) beat The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch) after The Club (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) suddenly show up and attack Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. He then talks about the new era, and if his best days are behind him, it's only a matter of time before new names move up and he moves out, and that the future goes through him as he will not go quietly. Suddenly, AJ Styles shows up. Fans chant loudly for both Cena and Styles for several minutes, then Styles says he's waited for this moment for a long time. He has respect for all of his work, and came to be one of the first to welcome him back. They shake hands, then The Club (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) show up and call out AJ Styles for "sucking up to Cena," and that they're not here to kiss ass, but to kick it. AJ Styles and John Cena are about to fight The Club when Styles strikes Cena instead, and the three of them then attack John Cena, revealing that they're back on the same page and back together again.
