Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for June 22, 2022

Tony Schiavone interviews Bryan Danielson in the ring to start tonight's show. Danielson says this week is a great week to be an AEW fan and a professional wrestling fan, as Sunday is an inter-promotional show with two of the best companies in the world with exceptional wrestling. He then says Wednesday is nearly the completely opposite with Blood and Guts, and says that he is just as excited about the violent as the fans are, then says that he expected to be part of those events and challenge Zack Sabre Jr. to a match. He says that he was going to prove that Zack Sabre Jr. was not the better wrestler and crush his trachea before getting revenge on The Jericho Appreciation Society, but unfortunately, he has some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that because of what happened to him at Anarchy In The Arena, he is not cleared to compete at either event, but he will be coming back and there is no one who can wrestle in the ring like him. The good news is that Eddie Kingston has gone on record to say he is a judgmental prick and says that Eddie is right before saying he has really high standards and that he has found the one person he trusts to take his place at Forbidden Door and Blood and Guts. He says this person can take it to Zack Sabre Jr. at a technical level before kicking Chris Jericho's ass and that the fans will be astounded at what they can do, then says he is not going to reveal who he is and that Zack Sabre Jr. will not find out until Sunday. Zack Sabre Jr. shows up and yells at Danielson from the stage.

We hear from Jon Moxley, who says it will be personal against The Jericho Appreciation Society after everything they have done, and while they can fight, he will find out if they can survive like his team can. He says that men driven by greed like Chris Jericho will learn just how much they are willing to suffer and endure in the steel cage, but before that, he has a match with Hiroshi Tanahashi where he will transform into the man he always knew he could be. Moxley says tonight is business and Sunday is personal, and when the bell rings, he has no respect for anyone.

Orange Cassidy and Roppongi Vice (Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero) beat The United Empire (Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher, Mark Davis) in a trios match. After the match, Jeff Cobb and Great-O-Khan show up, and as The United Empire stands on the ring apron, FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) shows up to even the numbers. The United Empire retreats.

Backstage, we hear from Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh. Sonjay says he is very happy right now and that they are celebrating by going to India, but Lethal is concentrating on becoming ROH World Television Champion when Samoa Joe comes back to work. Lethal tells Samoa Joe to either come back and defend the title or vacate the title so it goes to its rightful owner, as the clock is ticking.

Tony Schiavone interviews Christian Cage in the ring. Christian says he would not let Jungle Boy eliminate him from the Casino Battle Royal and get away with it, and disapproves of the fans cheering his elimination from the match. He also says Jungle Boy cost him a huge roster bonus and a title shot, and if people like Jungle Boy so much, he might as well do a background check on him. Christian says he went to social media to do just that. He calls the wrestling side of social media "a bunch of losers" whose opinion does not matter, then says that Jungle Boy is talented and that he decided to hitch onto that train for some easy money. Christian says he is not here to help out the younger talent; he is here for money, and if anyone wants to earn his paycheck, all they need to do is have a match people talk about more than a week after it happens. As for Jungle Boy, he plans to recoup the huge roster bonus from him, and while he has the talent, he does not have the knowledge, and the one time Jungle Boy heads to the ring without him, he lost championship gold. Christian says that with the gravy train run dry, he has to do things himself, and it pisses him off. As for the comments he made towards Jungle Boy's family, he says that he gave them a chance to apologize to giving birth to Jungle Boy, then says that Jungle Boy's mom wanted him to be his father, then says he does not want to be and that Jungle Boy's father is dead. Christian says that Jungle Boy's father Luke Perry would be embarrassed at him, then tells him to stay gone and enjoy his early retirement at age 25 before Luchasaurus shows up and chokes him. Luchasaurus eventually lets go, then says they need to talk in private. Christian whispers something to him and hugs him, then leads him to the back.

We hear from Kyle O'Reilly and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson). Nick Jackson boasts that they have the tag team titles back, and Matt says everything is right with the world again before saying they will be at Forbidden Door. Matt says that for one night, they will superkick the Forbidden Door down.

"Hangman" Adam Page beats "The Last Real Man" Silas Young. After the match, Adam Cole interrupts, but gets interrupted himself by "Switchblade" Jay White, who says he owes Cole an explanation, as he is responsible for making Forbidden Door as big as it can be. He says that as much as he would like it to be about Bullet Club and The Undisputed Era, his opponent still cannot be Adam Cole because Cole lost to Adam Page twice. Jay White then addresses Page, and says everyone wants to know who he will face. Jay White then says it will not be against Adam Page, and Page smacks the microphone out of his hand, starting a brawl. Cole ends up hitting a low blow on Page, then grabs the IWGP World title only for Jay White to see him with it. After Cole tells Jay White to get Page up so he can hit him with it, "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada shows up and fights both Jay White and Adam Cole. Page and Okada team up, and White and Cole soon retreat after Page and Okada have a brief staredown.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Kiera Hogan, Stokely Hathaway and Jade Cargill. It is announced that Red Velvet has been injured. Cargill says the show must go on, and Kiera says the joke is on Kris Statlander. Stokely says they are looking for a new baddie.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Kris Statlander and Athena. After making fun of Jade Cargill's baddie search, they say it is a shame what happened to Red Velvet before saying they will take the fight to Jade Cargill and the rest of the baddies with the help of Willow Nightingale.

Suddenly, Thunder Rosa runs into the ring and fights Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir, drop kicking Marina and teaming up with Toni to take out Nyla Rose. Toni Storm then hits Nyla Rose with the AEW Women's World Championship before handing it back to Thunder Rosa.

Three Year Anniversary - Dynamite recap for May 25, 2022

Tony Schiavone moderates a face-to-face meeting between CM Punk and "Hangman" Adam Page in the ring. Punk comes out first, followed by Page. Punk says it is safe to say that the biggest moment of his career happened in Las Vegas, Nevada and that he is grateful to be in his current position as he thanks the fans before stating that he will become AEW World Champion on Sunday. Page tells Punk that he told him what he would do to him and that there is nothing he can do to him to take the AEW World Championship away. Punk says Page is taking this seriously and that he is champion for a reason, as he is "the toughest son-of-a-bitch" on the roster. Punk then says this is business for him, not personal. Page reiterates that he is going to embarrass and destroy CM Punk and that he is going to do this right now, as he has been waiting months for this moment and he has wanted to roll a pipebomb up to him so it could blow up in his face. He then says that since they are here, he now realizes that he cannot do it, not because he would get fired or because he is afraid of him, but because he realized that this is what Punk would do. After saying that would not be the right thing to do, Page says he does not like Punk and almost pities him. He tells Punk that it is not about winning the championship, but what happens after. Page then tells Punk that he cares about AEW and that on Sunday, he will not be defending the world title against Punk, but defending All Elite Wrestling from Punk. Punk tells Page that he still does not get why Page is so angry and that it makes him confused that Page is talking in circles, then says that if Page is so upset about him being here, he will have to do something about it on Sunday. He also says that while he respects Page, he paved the road he has traveled, built the house that he is in and made the blueprint that made his career possible. Punk tells Page that he will shake his hand right now, for he is mad at himself, but Page has none of it when Punk insists and hits him with a right hand.

FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) retain the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championships.

We hear from The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy). Matt says their and The Young Bucks' (Matt and Nick Jackson) stories started similarly and had the same dreams of making it in pro wrestling and that this is where the similarities end. He also says that The Bucks could not have survived in their time. Matt then calls The Young Bucks "Hardy cosplayers," then Jeff says they are in their "overprime" and that their final run is going to be their best with The Bucks being nothing but stepping stones on the way to the AEW World Tag Team Championships. Shane Taylor talks about how that Ray Rowe trained him to wrestle, and for the next seven years, they ruled Cleveland, Ohio with Rowe leading and him listening. He then says Rowe went to Texas when he had enough and became a star as one-half of War Machine with Hansen, and left him surrounded by the enemies Rowe created. Meanwhile, he started tearing up those enemies in Cleveland, and now he is in Ring of Honor. He tells Rowe that his past will soon catch up with him.

Keith Lee and Shane Taylor beat Ricardo Rojas and Ken Phoenix. After the match, Lee grabs a microphone and proclaims himself and Lee are now "the baddest team in Ring of Honor." He hopes and prays Taylor enjoyed his 15 minutes of fame, as the next 15 minutes are going to be one he wishes he'd forget.

Needless to say, The Cabinet want Dalton Castle removed from wrestling.

We see exclusive footage from earlier today where War Machine (Hanson and Rowe) are attacked by Shane Taylor and Kevin Lee.

Kenny King interviews "The Hangman" Adam Page, who says that every move he makes is for the bidding of Bullet Club, and they plan to grab any gold that they can find. He says The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe) have something he wants: the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships. Jay is supposed to be the most violent, but at Death Before Dishonor, the ring is his gallows, and the crowd wil see how much he can man up before he "puts his mangy ass down." Jay Briscoe shows up as if on cue and attacks Page, and backstage crew have to hold both men back.

During the commercial break, The Addiction (Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian) proclaim they have the night off now that War Machine (Hanson and Rowe) cannot compete for the tag team titles, but Roppongi Vice (Trent Baretta and Rocky Romero) show up and challenge them for the ROH World Tag Team Championships. Suddenly, The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) show up wanting a piece of the action as well, wanting to make the match a five-star classic. Nigel McGuinness says that as much as he'd like to make this a three-way dance, there is no way he can make the match. He says Roppongi Vice have deserved a title shot, but the Bucks have not. With War Machine and The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) out, he makes a match between Roppongi Vice and The Young Bucks, and the winners get a tag team title shot in two weeks.

The Addiction (Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian) guest on commentary for the next match.

Adam Cole and Jay Lethal show up for their contract signing for Death Before Dishonor, with Nigel McGuinness moderating. Both men are allowed final words before ink is on paper. Adam Cole asks Jay Lethal if he is sure he wants to defend the ROH World Championship, saying that if he's angry now, he'll be even angrier when he takes the title from him. He says that he shaved Lethal's head to prove he can take anything from him, including the World title, because Lethal walks around thinking he's the best when it's Adam Cole who really runs the show. Lethal may be the best, but so is he, and the only thing he intends to steal at Death Before Dishonor is the title, not the show. Jay Lethal tells Adam Cole that just about every match he has had in Ring of Honor has always been about a Ring of Honor World Championship, no matter what. He says that ROH titles are the most prestigious in the wrestling business, and for the first time, it's not about a championship...it's personal. All he can think about is revenge, and he needs it every time he looks in a mirror and is reminded of what Adam Cole did to him. He has no catch-phrases or one-liners, and at Death Before Dishonor, he's coming to fight. He signs. Adam Cole makes a promise, saying that Lethal signed away the World Championship. As Cole signs, Lethal tosses a pair of scissors onto the table. Cole picks them up and looks at them. Lethal slams Cole's head on the table and both men brawl. Adam Cole picks up the world title and says it's already his, but Lethal hits a low blow and is about to take the scissors to Cole's hair when The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) pull Cole to safety. Lethal raises the World title in the air as he stares down Adam Cole and the Bucks to close out the show.

Chris Sabin shows up and calls The Addiction "sad middle-aged douchebags" before making a male-pattern baldness joke and reminding them that The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) have beaten them twice as of late, and challenge them to a match for the tag team titles. Suddenly, Roppongi Vice (Trent Baretta and Rocky Romero) show up and say that you can't have a party without them. Roderick Strong wants to know if he's offended Jay Briscoe, as every time Briscoe says his name, it sounds like he has. Strong says he should be the offended one, as he has carried this company for so long and Briscoe "ran back to the chicken farm and licked [his] wounds" when the company needed him most. He calls Briscoe a great tag team wrestler and a very mediocre singles wrestler, and he will remind him of that and the fact that he is the best to ever step in an ROH ring.

The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) and Adam Cole talk about their Global Wars superkick party, and Cole welcomes ROH to their world. He says that they will break every rule and that there is nothing ROH can do to stop them, as they own ROH and the chaos has just begun.

Lethal and Dijak brawl, and officials quickly scramble to the ring to break the match up.

Dalton Castle says that tonight he faces "The Last Real Man" Silas Young. He's fought to prove he's a man and fought for his boys, but tonight, he fights to hurt Silas Young.

Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for January 9, 2016

The All Night Express (Kenny King and Rhett Titus) steals a victory from Roppongi Vice (Rocky Romero and Trent Barretta) when Kenny King pushes Rhett Titus out of the way of an attack by Barretta, tagging into the match in the process and getting a schoolboy pin in on an unsuspecting Barretta for the win.

The Kingdom (Adam Cole, Matt Taven, Michael Bennett, Maria Kanellis) show up. The security crew also appear, and they surround the ring. Adam Cole says they're here so that Kyle O'Reilly doesn't jump him from behind. At Final Battle, The Kingdom went to war, and Adam Cole said he did what he set out to do, and that was to beat Kyle O'Reilly and prove he could never beat him. He then focuses on Michael Bennett and Matt Taven, saying they dropped the ball by dropping the ROH World Tag Team Championships. Before he can tell them what to do to get the belt back, Bennett notices O'Reilly, who shows up with Bobby Fish. He tells Adam Cole that he and O'Reilly reinvented tag team wrestling and are the best in ROH, and that it's time to take back the tag titles. If they have to plow through The Kingdom to do it by having Nigel McGuinness make the match, then so be it. McGuinness gets on the microphone and makes The Kingdom vs. reDRagon (Fish and O'Reilly) official for next week. Suddenly, The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) appear and want in on the action, too. They take offense to reDRagon saying they're the best and that they reinvented tag team wrestling, and want a match with The Kingdom. Nigel McGuinness puts The Young Bucks into the match...and makes it a Philly Street Fight.

War Machine (Hanson and Rowe) beat The House of Truth (Donovan Dijak and J. Diesel).

After the commercial break, Truth Martini chews out Donovan Dijak, calling him the weak link of the group. Truth tells Dijak that nobody wants him to win more than he does, but when he did not do what he was told at Final Battle, it was like a slap in the face. Truth then slaps Dijak in the face. Dijak lays his hands on Truth Martini, but J. Diesel attacks Dijak. Truth Martini says he won't put his hands on him anymore, when all of a sudden Dijak overpowers J. Diesel and attacks him. Prince Nana shows up as Truth Martini tells Donovan Dijak he has been fired from The House of Truth. The crowd then cheers for Dijak.

reDRagon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly) can't wait to give The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Michael Bennett) a beating next week.

Dalton Castle beats "Reborn" Matt Sydal, Jay Briscoe and Moose in a Four Corners Survival Match.

Jerry doesn't have a clear-cut answer, especially when he faced them in the ring a dozen years ago. Lethal shows up alongside Truth Martini and Taeler Hendrix before he can say who he thinks would win if he was forced to choose one, and forces him to choose. Jerry immediately calls him out on his arrogance, and says AJ Styles will win. Jay Lethal is about to attack him, but Jerry tells him that if he does, he'll disappoint his parents, whom Jerry has known as long as Jay himself. Prince Nana guests on commentary for the next match.

Moose beats Will Ferrara. Stokely Carmichael shows good sportsmanship towards Ferrara after the match.

Adam Cole says if that someone told him that he'd be out for five months with shoulder shoulder, his friends in The Kingdom would question him and that he'd reform Future Shock with Kyle O'Reilly in the year 2015, he'd say you were crazy and that he brings everything to the table. He says O'Reilly trusts him, and they plan to become ROH's next World Tag Team Champions.

The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) beat Roppongi Vice (Trent Baretta and Rocky Romero). After the match, both teams are attacked by Chris Sabin and The Addiction ("The Almighty" Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian), and tape Matt Jackson to the top rope before ganging up on him.
