Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for June 22, 2022

Tony Schiavone interviews Bryan Danielson in the ring to start tonight's show. Danielson says this week is a great week to be an AEW fan and a professional wrestling fan, as Sunday is an inter-promotional show with two of the best companies in the world with exceptional wrestling. He then says Wednesday is nearly the completely opposite with Blood and Guts, and says that he is just as excited about the violent as the fans are, then says that he expected to be part of those events and challenge Zack Sabre Jr. to a match. He says that he was going to prove that Zack Sabre Jr. was not the better wrestler and crush his trachea before getting revenge on The Jericho Appreciation Society, but unfortunately, he has some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that because of what happened to him at Anarchy In The Arena, he is not cleared to compete at either event, but he will be coming back and there is no one who can wrestle in the ring like him. The good news is that Eddie Kingston has gone on record to say he is a judgmental prick and says that Eddie is right before saying he has really high standards and that he has found the one person he trusts to take his place at Forbidden Door and Blood and Guts. He says this person can take it to Zack Sabre Jr. at a technical level before kicking Chris Jericho's ass and that the fans will be astounded at what they can do, then says he is not going to reveal who he is and that Zack Sabre Jr. will not find out until Sunday. Zack Sabre Jr. shows up and yells at Danielson from the stage.

We hear from Jon Moxley, who says it will be personal against The Jericho Appreciation Society after everything they have done, and while they can fight, he will find out if they can survive like his team can. He says that men driven by greed like Chris Jericho will learn just how much they are willing to suffer and endure in the steel cage, but before that, he has a match with Hiroshi Tanahashi where he will transform into the man he always knew he could be. Moxley says tonight is business and Sunday is personal, and when the bell rings, he has no respect for anyone.

Orange Cassidy and Roppongi Vice (Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero) beat The United Empire (Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher, Mark Davis) in a trios match. After the match, Jeff Cobb and Great-O-Khan show up, and as The United Empire stands on the ring apron, FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) shows up to even the numbers. The United Empire retreats.

Backstage, we hear from Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh. Sonjay says he is very happy right now and that they are celebrating by going to India, but Lethal is concentrating on becoming ROH World Television Champion when Samoa Joe comes back to work. Lethal tells Samoa Joe to either come back and defend the title or vacate the title so it goes to its rightful owner, as the clock is ticking.

Tony Schiavone interviews Christian Cage in the ring. Christian says he would not let Jungle Boy eliminate him from the Casino Battle Royal and get away with it, and disapproves of the fans cheering his elimination from the match. He also says Jungle Boy cost him a huge roster bonus and a title shot, and if people like Jungle Boy so much, he might as well do a background check on him. Christian says he went to social media to do just that. He calls the wrestling side of social media "a bunch of losers" whose opinion does not matter, then says that Jungle Boy is talented and that he decided to hitch onto that train for some easy money. Christian says he is not here to help out the younger talent; he is here for money, and if anyone wants to earn his paycheck, all they need to do is have a match people talk about more than a week after it happens. As for Jungle Boy, he plans to recoup the huge roster bonus from him, and while he has the talent, he does not have the knowledge, and the one time Jungle Boy heads to the ring without him, he lost championship gold. Christian says that with the gravy train run dry, he has to do things himself, and it pisses him off. As for the comments he made towards Jungle Boy's family, he says that he gave them a chance to apologize to giving birth to Jungle Boy, then says that Jungle Boy's mom wanted him to be his father, then says he does not want to be and that Jungle Boy's father is dead. Christian says that Jungle Boy's father Luke Perry would be embarrassed at him, then tells him to stay gone and enjoy his early retirement at age 25 before Luchasaurus shows up and chokes him. Luchasaurus eventually lets go, then says they need to talk in private. Christian whispers something to him and hugs him, then leads him to the back.

We hear from Kyle O'Reilly and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson). Nick Jackson boasts that they have the tag team titles back, and Matt says everything is right with the world again before saying they will be at Forbidden Door. O'Reilly says Sting and Darby Allin should be in jail for what they did to him, then says The Young Bucks, El Phantasma and Hikuleo will take them on at Forbidden Door. Matt says that for one night, they will superkick the Forbidden Door down.

Malakai Black beats Penta Oscuro to qualify for the AEW All-Atlantic Championship Tournament. After the match, PAC gets in the ring, then Miro shows up on the video screen and says that he will walk into the Forbidden Door and forgive everyone, including Malakai Black.

We hear from Wardlow, who says that he always gets what he wants and if he does not, he takes it. He says he wants the TNT Championship and that he is coming for everything he deserves, and when Scorpio Sky is ready, he will welcome him into "Wardlow's World."

Adam Cole guests on commentary for the next match.

"Hangman" Adam Page beats "The Last Real Man" Silas Young. After the match, Adam Cole interrupts, but gets interrupted himself by "Switchblade" Jay White, who says he owes Cole an explanation, as he is responsible for making Forbidden Door as big as it can be. He says that as much as he would like it to be about Bullet Club and The Undisputed Era, his opponent still cannot be Adam Cole because Cole lost to Adam Page twice. Jay White then addresses Page, and says everyone wants to know who he will face. Jay White then says it will not be against Adam Page, and Page smacks the microphone out of his hand, starting a brawl. Cole ends up hitting a low blow on Page, then grabs the IWGP World title only for Jay White to see him with it. After Cole tells Jay White to get Page up so he can hit him with it, "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada shows up and fights both Jay White and Adam Cole. Page and Okada team up, and White and Cole soon retreat after Page and Okada have a brief staredown.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Kiera Hogan, Stokely Hathaway and Jade Cargill. It is announced that Red Velvet has been injured. Cargill says the show must go on, and Kiera says the joke is on Kris Statlander. Stokely says they are looking for a new baddie.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Kris Statlander and Athena. After making fun of Jade Cargill's baddie search, they say it is a shame what happened to Red Velvet before saying they will take the fight to Jade Cargill and the rest of the baddies with the help of Willow Nightingale.

Toni Storm beats Marina Shafir despite the attempted interference by "The Native Beast" Nyla Rose. After the match, Nyla Rose attacks Toni Storm and Marina Shafir joins in. Suddenly, Thunder Rosa runs into the ring and fights Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir, drop kicking Marina and teaming up with Toni to take out Nyla Rose. Toni Storm then hits Nyla Rose with the AEW Women's World Championship before handing it back to Thunder Rosa.

We hear from Darby Allin and Sting. Darby Allin says Kyle O'Reilly is too scared to show up at Forbidden Door and that they have two other people of their own when they take out Bullet Club. Sting says they will kick bodies down the hill until there is nobody left.

We see a video package for Rey Fenix vs. Andrade el Idolo this Friday on Rampage.

William Regal guests on commentary for the next match.

Jon Moxley and Hiroshi Tanahashi beat Chris Jericho and Lance Archer. After the match, Eddie Kingston shows up and fights Sammy Guevara and Chris Jericho. Wheeler Yuta shows up and joins in, then Minoru Suzuki shows up. More and more members of AEW and New Japan show up for the brawl as Moxley and Tanahashi have an in-ring staredown. Security shows up to help referees break the brawl up as the show ends.
