Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for June 2, 2022

Alisha Edwards beats Renee Michelle in the BTI match. After the match, Masha Slamovich shows up and hands a manila envelope to Alisha, then leaves. Alisha opens the envelope and finds a piece of paper with a big red X on it.

"The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo guests on commentary for the next match. "The Drama King" Matthew Rehwoldt has a match later tonight.

Mia Yim beats Savannah Evans after Jordynne Grace runs in and stops Tasha Steelz from getting physically involved in the match.

In footage from earlier today, Shark Boy confronts Eddie Edwards for his recent actions and his disrespect for Impact, but Eddie grabs Shark Boy and tells him he does not know Impact like he does. Suddenly, "Wildcat" Chris Harris shows up and tells Eddie to put him down as he challenges him to a match while also confronting him for disrespecting Impact. Eddie says it will all come to an end at Slammiversary.

Backstage, The Influence (Madison Rayne and Tennille Dashwood) meet Rosemary. Rosemary asks them to leave, but The Influence make fun of Havok losing to Masha Slamovich while stating Decay (Rosemary, Havok, Crazzy Steve, Black Taurus) does not deserve to be Knockouts Tag Team Champions. They try to cheer her up with dark make-up, but Rosemary tells The Influence that they will see Decay sooner rather than later and to save the make-up for when their faces get bitten off. Madison Rayne says there is no women's tag team in Decay any more, but The Influence back away when Crazzy Steve and Black Taurus show up.

Trey Miguel guests on commentary for the next match.

Kenny King beats Blake Christian to maintain his position in the Ultimate X Match for the X Division Championship at Slammiversary.

Jack Evans is the fifth participant in the Ultimate X Match for the X Division Championship at Slammiversary.

Backstage, Bhupinder Gujjar thanks W. Morrissey for the help last week. Morrissey says it is not the worst thing in the world to have someone watch your back, and Gujjar asks Morrissey to let him know if he can return the favor. We then see PCO, then W. Morrissey tells Bhupinder that he has everything under control tonight.

Rich Swann beats "The Drama King" Matthew Rehwoldt.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Alisha Edwards. Alisha shows a black-and-white 8" x 10" photo of herself with a red X painted on it. "The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw shows up and jokes around slightly before telling Alisha that Masha Slamovich is going to kill her.

The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) head to the ring. Karl Anderson announces that he and Doc Gallows will get their tag team title match against The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe) at Slammivesary, and Gallows says that they are here to win gold and sell arenas out. He also says their tag team title shot is deserved, not earned. Anderson says that they have been around the world, and says while The Briscoes are bad dudes, their accomplishments do not add up to The Good Brothers'. They make fun of Sandy Fork, Delaware and imply that they are only local champions before showing a quick top ten best Good Brothers moments in Impact. Number seven onwards is just them beating The Briscoes at Multiverse of Matches. When they reach #1, however, The Briscoes actually show up and call The Good Brothers "soft" and "pampered" while they still get up and grind every day even when they are on the farm. After Jay Briscoe says that they get up at 4 AM and get to work because that is what The Briscoes do, Anderson then announces their number one moment in Impact is beating The Briscoes. This soon leads to a brawl, and The Briscoes send The Good Brothers into a retreat.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander. Alexander says he does not have time to be concerned about anything, as Eric Young has done everything that can be done in Impact. After Alexander says he needs to prepare for the biggest match in his career, Deaner suddenly shows up and tells Alexander he should be very concerned, then walks away. Joe Doering shows up and stares down Alexander before Deaner returns with Eric Young. Security quickly moves in to stop the 3-on-1 brawl.

Backstage, "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander asks Scott D'Amore for a match with Joe Doering. D'Amore wants Alexander to focus on Slammiversary, but says he will either have to deal with him now or later. D'Amore gives him the match for next week.

Eddie Edwards guests on commentary for the next match.

Honor No More (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) beat Heath and Rhino. After the match, the rest of Honor No More swarm the ring and attack Heath and Rhino before performing a Con-Chair-To on Rhino's left knee. The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) and Frankie Kazarian show up with chairs to chase Honor No More away.

Backstage, Rhino is taken into an ambulance on a stretcher. Heath rides in the ambulance with him. Scott D'Amore allows Frankie Kazarian and The Motor City Machine to find two guys with history in Impact to face Honor No More at Slammiversary.

"The Drama King" Matthew Rehwoldt is back on commentary for tonight's main event.

Moose and Steve Maclin beat W. Morrissey and PCO. After the match, Maclin brawls with PCO only to get clotheslined, and Moose hits PCO with a Spear. Suddenly, the lights go out, and when they are back on, Sami Callihan is in the ring. Moose runs at him, but Sami hits him with his baseball bat. (Earlier in the day, it was reported that this was Morrissey's last night in the company.)
