The first match is PPRay ("Pretty" Peter Avalon and Ray Rosas) vs. Midnight Heat ("Rockin' Ricky Gibson and "Precious" Eddy Pearl) for the DEFY Tag Team Championships from the October 2, 2021 episode of UWN Primetime Live
We look back on PPRay's interview from May 22, 2022. Backstage, Jack Farmer interviews PPRay ("Pretty" Peter Avalon and Ray Rosas). Peter Avalon says he and Ray Rosas have been doing this for ten years and is excited, but Ray Rosas does not seem as enthusiastic. The Midnight Heat ("Rockin' Ricky Gibson, "Precious" Eddie Pearl, Guy Tweakacetti) show up and tell PPRay that they took their spot, but Beef Candy (Richie Slade and Flex McCalleon) show up to state they are the hottest thing on the menu. This leads to a brawl between the three teams.
Backstage, Jack Farmer interviews Ray Rosas. Ray screams into the microphone and says nobody asks what Peter Avalon did to deserve getting kicked in the face. He says that he was wronged and that he punished him with impunity. He says that Avalon took everything from him and is only known as Peter Avalon's partner. He says that he is a person and that this is about autonomy, and that he wants people to see him and know that he matters, too.
"Pretty" Peter Avalon vs. Jordan Cruz for the United Heritage Championship
We see the aftermath of the PPRay ("Pretty" Peter Avalon and Ray Rosas) split. "Pretty" Peter Avalon shows up and says that while he is in the mood to make jokes in his current venue of the Irvine Improve, he feels sadly and strangely calm after what happened. He knows that people are excepting him to get vengeance, but he says that he has no interested as it is blind and deaf and leaves a bitter taste in one's mouth. Instead, he desires understanding. He says that PPRay was named by the fans and that he and Ray got the best out of each other either in singles or in tag action, as they both grew in the business together. He even mentions Rosas saving him from having a gun against his head. He also talks about when he was hired from All Elite Wrestling and how he told Rosas about it, and how Rosas told him that he was proud of him and that he had to take the plunge to All Elite Wrestling. Avalon then says something changed in Ray Rosas and that he did not give a damn anymore, even calling himself "the leftovers." He says that was never true and that when he gave up, he became the sloppy seconds then. He mentions that Rosas feels slighted against him, and that when goes to Jacksonville, Florida, he might as well be invisible after having an identity in Championship Wrestling and seeing others go to bigger and better places. He then says that what is important is him, as he is tired of feeling like a joke in the back. Avalon says he does not Ray Rosas and that he will rise to the top alone if he has to. Suddenly, he is attacked by Rosas, who tosses him off the stage and hits him with the ring bell.
