Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for June 1, 2022

CM Punk and FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) beat "Platinum" Max Caster and The Gunn Club (Austin and Colten Gunn). Dax Harwood says that professional wrestling and being ROH World Tag Champions means everything to him and that only his wife and daughter mean more, then says that he will take on all comers, including David Finlay. Punk says that New Japan Pro Wrestling has some of the best in the world and that he is also standing with two of the best, then demands an opponent. Suddenly, Hiroshi Tanahashi shows up on the stage.

MJF heads to the ring. MJF says he is in a lot of pain after what happened on Sunday, yet people want to hear him talk. He says that the big wigs are here to watch the product and that it would be a shame if something bad happened. He says that while the boss has been hashing things out, it is too little, too late. He says that he had to write his own ticket to AEW and create moment after moment for it only to get no respect. He says that everything he touches turns to gold and that there is nothing he cannot do, and he hits grand slams - not home runs - on a weekly basis, and has to be perfect instead of being great because he is the only guy capable of carrying the company like he has for months. He questions the clapping of the crowd when the fans were also calling him "an unprofessional piece of shit," then says that if the big boys want his spot, they can have it, because he does not want it anymore. MJF calls the fans "uneducated marks" and act like their opinions are worth a damn when they "don't know shit" and that their opinions suck and change at the drop of a dime, then says that he is the best in the world and the only guy who makes people feel. He says that he does not have to do "a bunch of bullshit" to do that, then says that he is a generational talent and that nobody has this figured out. He then tells Tony Khan to pay the man who has busted his ass since day one. MFJ then about-faces and tells Tony Khan to hoard all the money to give to the ex-WWE guys who come in and cannot even lace his boots, then asks Tony if he would like him more if he were ex-WWE. He says Tony should be behind the guardrail like the fans, then dares Tony to fire him. After calling Tony Khan "a fucking mark" and repeatedly yelling "fire me" (all of which gets bleeped out during the broadcast), the microphone gets cut off, then the show goes to a commercial break.

Johnny Elite's mystery opponent is Miro. We hear from Miro, who says that it has been a long time and that he will return to AEW to help his fellow man and redeem them all, for his good deeds will bring him back to Heaven and his title. He says his neck of sand is healed, but his heart is broken, and says he does not want to come home; instead, he wants to come back and take his god's home, as he is flawless.

Miro beats Johnny Elite with Game Over in his first match in seven months.

We see a video package for Anarchy In The Arena from Double Or Nothing.

The Jericho Appreciation Society head to the ring. "Cool Hand" Angelo Parker tells the "AEW Galaxy" to "appreciate us," then "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard tells the fans that they are "the princes of pain" and that nobody does it better. Chris Jericho says that the fans deserve to see them and that their victory did not come without a price, and mentions that Eddie Kingston almost set him on fire before asking what kind of man burns another man. He also mentions Bryan Danielson saying he would "kick his [damn] head in" before Danielson got choked out to end the match, and that Daniel Garcia will choke out Jon Moxley tonight. Jericho says that sports entertainers always win over wrestlers every time, then Eddie Kingston shows up with William Regal and says he will fight The Society right now before Regal says "Blood and Guts" when Kingston tells Regal to let them know he wants to fight them. Jericho sics The Society on Eddie Kingston, then says Eddie deserves to be in a cage, not them. Jericho then turns around and gets hit by a madball from Ortiz before cutting off some of Jericho's hair. Jericho is livid and says his hair is worth more than Ortiz' existence, and says that if Eddie wants Blood And Guts, he has got it, but he wants Ortiz in a hair vs. hair match where he will shave and burn him because he is a wizard.

In backstage footage from Double Or Nothing, Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh attack Samoa Joe, put his arm through a chair and ram his arm into nearby gear to attack his shoulder.

Adam Cole guests on commentary for the next match.

reDRagon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly), The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) and Hikuleo beat Matt Hardy, Darby Allin, Christian Cage, Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus in a ten-man tag match.

Backstage, Lexi Nair interviews Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland. Strickland introduces his entourage of moguls, and Keith Lee says that whether it is singles action or tag action, the fans will swerve in their glory.

Tony Schiavone interviews Athena in the ring. Athena says she is All Elite and that she is here for the competition before making it known she wants to face Jade Cargill, and that she will be the one to break Cargill's winning streak. Jade Cargill shows up and says she is "that bitch" before introducing Stokely Hathaway, who says that Jade Cargill is a queen, a goddess and the TBS Champion. After Hathaway and Cargill deny Athena title shot, Kiera Hogan steps up to Athena, and Anna Jay and Kris Statlander show up while Red Velvet steps in. Both sides argue before referees and officials break things up.

Wardlow - who comes out to his own music and without a security detail for the first time in weeks - beats JD Drake. After the match, Tony Schiavone interviews Wardlow, then "Smart" Mark Sterling shows up with security and issues a document, which is a court summons for beating up security. The security guard who issues the summons - played by independent wrestler "Benevolent" Jack Banning, who went viral last week by being on The Price Is Right and winning the showcase last Thursday - gets powerbombed before Wardlow rips the summons and shoves it in his mouth.

Backstage, Lexi Nair interviews Dan Lambert and The Men of the Year (Scorpio Sky and "All Ego" Ethan Page). Lambert says Dante Martin has potential in a few years, but Ethan Page says Dante only has a few days. Scorpio tells Dante he will hand his ass to him. Before Scorpio can snap his fingers, Dante stops Scorpio and tells him he is better than Scorpio Sky is right now and that he will see him on Rampage.

Toni Storm and Ruby Soho beat Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. and Jamie Hayter. After the match, Jamie Hayter attacks Ruby and Toni with the Owen Hart Tournament championship belt.

William Regal and Chris Jericho guest on commentary for the next match. Vince Vaughn and Macauley Culkin are also seen in the crowd.

Jon Moxley beats Daniel Garcia with the Bulldog Choke after Eddie Kingston beats up Chris Jericho at ringside when Jericho tries to distract Moxley. After the match, Jon Moxley says he is down for the Blood And Guts match.
