RAW
We see footage from earlier tonight, where WWF owner Vince McMahon makes his way into the arena in a brand new Chevrolet Corvette instead of a limousine. Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter are seen waiting for him. Vince is then helped from his sports car to a wheelchair, and demands the garage door be left open for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to give him free access to the arena, implying that Vince McMahon has somewhat invited .
Before the next match, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn announces that he is still part of D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, Billy Gunn). Also L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) shows up, with Darren "Puke" Drozdov as an official member. Road Warrior Hawk guests on commentary, and says he is healthy and sober. Hawk then says he got hooked on pain pills due to injuries racked up over the years, and that his dependence went too far. He is now considered an alternate member until he is healthier and able to re-establish himself. Suddenly, The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull, 8-Ball, Chainz) show up and attack Hawk, while The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) attack "Road Dogg" Jesse James with a boombox to the forehead, which busts Road Dogg open.
It is announced that due to a fit of anger in the office by WWF owner Vince McMahon last Friday, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley has been stripped of the WWF Intercontinental Championship and that there will be a one-night tournament to crown a new Intercontinental Champion. (In reality, he has been stripped of the title due to a legitimate knee injury.)
WWF owner Vince McMahon, Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco notice Kane coming to the ring alone. (This time around, Kane is wearing something similar to what he was worn on his way to the building in the past, but he is now wearing his wrestling mask instead of a ski mask.)
"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock beats "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman with an ankle lock to go to the next round of the Intercontinental Championship tournament. After the match, Blackman is attacked by a masked man in blue, whom Jim Ross almost immediately identifies as "The Blue Blazer." ("The Blue Blazer" was a masked gimmick that Owen Hart used during his first run in the WWF back in the late 1980s.) After The Blue Blazer runs to the back, Shamrock snaps and puts Blackman in the ankle lock again. He eventually lets go and sends two referees running out of the ring.
The Undertaker is seen walking through the garage door entrance in street clothes, and is spotted doing so by WWF owner Vince McMahon and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter.
Terri Runnels is seen backstage with Val Venis. We then see a video package of Goldust.
Before the next match, Val Venis says "The Big Valbowski" is a lot like a clock, because if you stick two hands and a face on it, he'll show you exactly what time it is. When Jacqueline shows up with "Marvelous" Marc Mero, she is seen wearing Sable's hair as part of her ponytail.
Val Venis beats "Marvelous" Marc Mero with a Fisherman's suplex to continue to the next round of the Intercontinental Championship as Jacqueline distracts the referee only for Terri Runnels to distract Mero. During the match, it is announced that someone has showed up in the arena and has caused quite a stir, and that the person in question will not be mentioned until after the match. After the match, Jacqueline attacks Terri Runnels, and both women have to be pulled apart by Mero, Venis, referees and officials.
It is announced that Paul Bearer is the person who has made a stir backstage. Bearer has not been seen in some time and is seen carrying a briefcase. WWF owner Vince McMahon, Gerald Briscoe, Pat Patterson and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter are witnessed being confused about his appearance, with Vince angrily asking what Bearer is doing at the arena.
Michael Cole interviews Sable...or tries to. Sable walks away and immediately finds Jacqueline utilizing her own dressing room, and drags her to the ring. Referees and officials have to pull them apart as soon as Sable attacks her in the tech area near the stage. "Marvelous" Marc Mero shows up to get Jacqueline out of there.
Before the next match, we see footage of Michael Cole interviewing Mankind in a boiler room from earlier today. Mankind says "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock has the weakest chair shot he has ever, and is therefore not concerned about facing him at Judgment Day. If Shamrock isn't happy with that, he has one word for him: Socko.
Before the next match, we see footage of "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry's poem professing his love for Chyna from last weekend's Superstars. After the match begins, it is not long before Chyna shows up and watches the match from ringside.
Mankind beats "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry with the Mandible Claw. Unlike past matches, this is the first use of Mr. Socko - who comes straight from Mankind's left foot - during the move. After the match, Chyna gets in the ring and confronts Mark Henry, and Chyna asks Mark Henry why he is filing a lawsuit. Mark Henry tells her "It's out of my hands."
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin finally shows up...in a cement truck.
Michael Cole interviews "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, who tells Michael Cole to tell WWF owner Vince McMahon to come out to the arena entrance as what he is about to do will create a little bit of interest in the McMahons' side of the family. Vince McMahon, Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter are seen reacting to Austin's arrival, and Slaughter trips on the footstool and into Vince's broken leg.
WAR ZONE
X-Pac beats Jeff Jarrett to continue to the next round of the Intercontinental Championship tournament. During the match, X-Pac inadvertently knees referee Mike Chioda in the face, knocking him down before the Bronco Buster. Jarrett kicks X-Pac in the groin to counter the Bronco Buster, then looks underneath the ring and finds his guitar case. When he opens it up, instead of pulling out a guitar, he pulls out Head. This catches Jarrett off guard, and X-Pac gets the schoolboy pin for the win. Al Snow then immediately shows up, grabs Head, and leaves through the crowd.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen parking the cement truck in front of WWF owner Vince McMahon's Chevrolet Corvette...and dumping cement down the open roof, busting out all the glass and ruining the car. Austin then leaves the cement truck and heads to the ring.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin heads to the ring. He thanks WWF owner Vince McMahon for the open invitation for tonight, and apologizes as the invite was mistakenly sent to "The Austin 3:16 Construction Company." He tells Vince that when he screwed him, he sealed his fate, and that as long as they are both in the WWF, he will make his life a living hell. As for Judgment Day, he has no problems putting on the striped shirt as he would make a good referee, and asks the crowd to give him a "hell yeah" if they agree. After The Undertaker and Kane beat the hell out of each other, the only hand he will raise is his own, and there is nothing Vince can do about it. Vince McMahon shows up in his electric wheelchair, and as Austin goes up the ramp to approach him, a bodyguard clad in all black show up behind Vince. Two K-9 cops also are also brought up, but Austin is not scared of the dogs even though he keeps his distance. Vince asks Austin what gives him the right to pour cement in his Chevrolet Corvette, as it was part of a collection and he ruined it. He then puts Austin in a match tonight, where he will team with "The Rock" Rocky Maivia to go up against The Undertaker and Kane. He also tells Austin to have eyes in the back of his head. Vince then admits his life has been a living hell for the past two weeks, and yells at the fans for calling him an asshole. Vince then blames Austin for all the bad luck that has befallen him for the last two weeks, and says he may never take part in athletic event again. He says his head is still ringing from being hit in the head from a bedpan, still in nervous shock from the defibrillation and says he violated him from sticking an IV tube in his rectum. He promises Austin will suffer more humiliation than he has, and if Austin does not raise the hand of a new WWF Champion and humble himself before him, he guarantees that Austin will be fired on the spot. Austin tells Vince he doesn't have the balls to fire him, but Vince says he has "balls the size of grapefruits" and that Austin will be picking the seeds out of his teeth when he is humbled.
"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock attacks Val Venis as he makes his way to the ring for the next match.
"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock beats Val Venis with an ankle lock to continue to the finals of the Intercontinental Championship tournament. After the match, Dustin Runnels shows up as Goldust for the first time in five months, this time in a more extravagant entrance gown than ever before. He takes it off and crawls towards Venis before attacking him and hitting him with a new move: hanging Val Venis' legs on the second rope and kicking him in the crotch.
We see the remnants of WWF owner Vince McMahon's ruined Chevrolet Corvette. Mankind offers to help him get the keys and his briefcase about it.
Michael Cole interviews "The Rock" Rocky Maivia, who says he fears no man and that he has beaten both The Undertaker and Kane in the middle of the ring to become #1 contender for the WWF Championship. The only problem he has right now is being "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's tag team partner as he would rather slap the taste right out of Austin's mouth. D'Lo Brown and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry confront The Rock for tagging with Austin, but The Rock tells them to know their roles and shut their mouths and that they will go outside and talk about it right now.
X-Pac beats Mankind to continue to the finals of the Intercontinental Championship tournament and face "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock. During the match, Mankind introduces a steel chair to the ring, but tosses it out when ordered to by referee Mike Chioda. Later on, Shamrock shows up, takes the chair and smashes it into Mankind's ankle after Mankind rolls X-Pac back into the ring, allowing X-Pac yet another win with a schoolboy pin. After the match, Shamrock attacks X-Pac and fights Mankind again when Mankind tries to help X-Pac. Shamrock then puts X-Pac in some body scissors as referees and officials try to break it apart. Shamrock scares them off as Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter tells Mankind that WWF owner Vince McMahon needs him in the back.
X-Pac is seen being attacked by "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock before the next match. X-Pac still insists on continuing the match as "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley is seen in X-Pac's corner. Triple H then guests on commentary for the match, singing X-Pac's praises for wrestling for months with a broken neck. Triple H also calls out WWF owner Vince McMahon for not calling him about being stripped of the Intercontinental Championship before tonight, while he was still rehabbing his knee in Birmingham, Alabama.
"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock beats X-Pac with the ankle lock to win the vacant WWF Intercontinental Championship! After the match, Mankind shows up with a steel chair and keeps him from attacking X-Pac further, and "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helsley checks on X-Pac.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin and "The Rock" Rocky Maivia vs. The Undertaker and Kane ends in a no-contest. During the match, Paul Bearer shows up and watches the match from ringside, and D'Lo Brown and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry show up later to do the same, but near the end, D'Lo Brown slams The Rock on the floor outside the ring and Mark Henry hits him with a body slam before the two of them leave. After this, Austin is tied up on the ropes, but he frees himself and fights back. After this, McMahon's security guard show up and strikes Austin in the back of the head with a nightstick, then unmasks. The security guard is none other than The Big Boss Man, who has not been seen in the WWF since 1993. The Undertaker and Kane continue to attack Austin as The Big Boss Man watches. All the while, WWF owner Vince McMahon, Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson and (later) WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter watch from the stage as the show ends.
After the show goes off the air, The Big Boss Man then chokes out "Stone Cold" Steve Austin with his nightstick as The Undertaker and Kane leave. Boss Man then tells Austin he is not so tough after all, and that he is enforcing WWF owner Vince McMahon's law and that he will abide by it. Vince is then wheeled to the ring, and Vince tells Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco to "put the boots to him." Brisco and Patterson then mockingly slap at Austin before punching him in the corner. Referee Earl Hebrner then pulls Brisco away, allowing Austin to hit Brisco and Patterson with Stone Cold Stunners before "The Rock" Rocky Maivia gets back in the ring and hits Brisco and Patterson with a double People's Elbow. Austin then confronts and beats up WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter, and Vince tries to escape only to find out his wheelchair cannot go up the ramp. Austin then topples the wheelchair backwards and stomps Vince a few times before heading back to the back and leaving the crowd happy. Slaughter, Brisco and Patterson then bumble around as they help Vince back in the wheelchair, and they end up carrying Vince all the way back to the back without putting him in it. Vince almost tears up a fan's sign, but the fan gets it away from McMahon and company before they can grab it.
