Ray Jaz shows up and says 5150 left New York because they could not handle it and went to Los Angeles where it was easier, then says 5150 should be "6-7" as they are mediocre as the city they moved to. Danny Limelight takes exception to this and asks Ray Jaz what he is going to do, and Ray Jaz says that he will find somebody who is willing to slap the taste out of 5150's mouths and send them back to the West Coast empty-handed. Josh Alexander says that he is one of the best tag team champs in Impact history and that the X Division Championship meant that he has arrived as a singles competitor, and that facing Sabin planted the seeds for exercising Option C. He says that it pained him to give up the X Division title, but the prize is sweeter on the other side, and he has no regrets about giving the title away for a chance at the world title. Christian says he sees the hunger and passion in Alexander's eyes and says Alexander has been overlooked in his career, then says that is where the similarities end, as there is nobody who compares to him in the ring. Alexander says he grew up watching Christian hailing from a place not far from where he lived and watched his career, then says he is the wild card and who Christian has to watch, because he knows the cards that Christian plays. Christian says he has been on the biggest stages in the business and knows what it takes, and says Alexander cannot channel his emotions and will find out he can swim in the deep water while Alexander cannot. He admits that he has watched Alexander's career from before and that Alexander has to act like he's been there before, and he says that Alexander cannot do that. Alexander says Christian's words mean nothing and that he has no respect for him, and that Christian will find out what it is like to step in the ring with him at Bound For Glory. Alexander leaves, and Chrsitian says Alexander proved his point about not channeling his emotions.

Mickie James heads to the ring. Mickie says it was a huge honor to come back at Slammiversary and that it is great to be back in "the land of Hardcore Country," but her intentions were less about herself and more about putting over the present and future of women's wrestling. She says it was great to get Deonna Purrazzo involved, but a lot of things have changed since then due to Purrazzo's unprofessional behavior, and that is was nice to give her a receipt. Mickie asks Purrazzo to come to the ring, and Deonna shows up and heads to the ring. Purrazzo takes offense to Mickie attacking her at NWA 73, and Mickie says that she can see through Purrazzo and that she is a fighter and not an executive producer anymore. Mickie then challenges Purrazzo to a match at Bound For Glory with the Impact Knockouts Championship on the line. Purrazzo says she owes Mickie nothing, and that wrestling her is "everybody's dream match" right now. Purrazzo says a match with Mickie does nothing for her, saying she never idolized her despite her accomplishments and that there is a long line of women far ahead of Mickie who made her want to be a wrestler, and that their match will not happen. She says that there is a hierarchy in Impact and that respect is earned, not given, and until she earns her title shot, the answer is no. Mickie stops Purrazzo from leaving, and this starts a brawl. Security moves quickly into place to break the brawl up, and Scott D'Amore shows up and says that wrestlers don't make matches, they don't turn them down, either. He also says that he and the fans disagree on Mickie James not being deserving a title shot, and that he would be an idiot to turn this match down. He makes the match official for Bound For Glory, then leaves while security keep another brawl from happening.

(During the match, it is announced that Rey Fenix injured himself last week and that he forfeited the tournament victory and his spot in the tournament to Penta El Zero M at the behest of Eddie Kingston; therefore, Penta El Zero M will take Rey Fenix's place in the tournament.)

We hear from Jon Moxley, who says he has defended the AEW World Championship with everything he had to make it the top title in the sport, but at Full Gear, he will not only defending the title, he will be weaponing it against a "miserable, excuse-making son-of-a-bitch" in Eddie Kingston, as he says AEW is for those who put in the work. He says that Kingston will have nobody to blame when he makes him quit and crush his skull, windpipe and ego just like he does everyone else.

Before the next match, Eddie Kingston wants a fight, but since Jon Moxley is not here because "he is a coward," he will fight Matt Sydal for trying to steal his thunder in the Casino Battle Royal, which he says he was never eliminated from, and hopes Jon Moxley is watching from home.

Matt says his ankle is fine and says that their match has been simmering for years now, and Harwood says that their match is a dream match, but for them, they are more concerned about staying tag team champions and whoever leaves as champions at Full Gear will cement their legacy as the best tag team in the world. Matt says The Young Bucks are good people, but good people sometimes do bad things, and while they regret their recent actions, they have been suffering and they feel that something is missing as FTR are messing with their friends and their livelihoods. Matt then says it was a killer instinct that was brought back up by FTR, and he hopes FTR are ready. FTR then leave, saying Excalibur does not need or deserve them for the interview. Matt says that The Young Bucks are self-made and had to do and get everything themselves and bet on themselves as well, and says that if they cannot win the AEW World Tag Team Championsips at Full Gear, they will never challenge for the tag team titles ever again.

MJF tells Jericho they have the same goals, and that they will get "a whole lot of green and a whole lot of gold." "The Librarian" Peter Avalon asks if he can join The Inner Circle. The Inner Circle and MJF both laugh at Avalon, with Jericho saying there is no chance. Suddenly, Eric Bischoff makes a surprise appearance and a three-pronged question asks MJF what he can do for The Inner Circle. MJF simply answers "Friendship." Bischoff then asks MJF what he believes The Inner Circle can do for him, and MJF says that he is a total package and is able to humbly accept that he is not the best team player, but that he could learn how to be from The Inner Circle. Bischoff then calls Jericho "a primadonna," and after Schiavone tells Jericho to "shut up," mentions that MJF shares the primadonna qualities as Jericho and asks how he is supposed to know that the two of them will not end up killing each other if MJF joins The Inner Circle. MJF addresses the constant jeering he is getting, and Jericho tells MJF to answer the question. MJF tells Jericho he has done everything for him, including giving him the best segment of Jericho's career and in all of professional wrestling, then asks Jericho what he hasn't done. Jericho says "You haven't beaten me...but I'll give you a chance to do that." Jericho proposes a one-on-one match between the two of them at Full Gear, and if MJF wins, he will allow MJF to join The Inner Circle. MJF, knowing this is a big opportunity for him, says he will do anything to win. Jericho says he expects nothing left, but MJF stresses the word "anything." Ortiz tells MJF to shut up and says that he, Sammy Guevara and Ortiz do not want him in The Inner Circle and that he does not have a shot at joining them just because Jericho is entertaining him. He also mentions that MJF and Wardlow have a match with him and Guevara, and says that MJF will not make it to Full Gear.

We see a video package chronicling the feud between Will Hobbs and Team Taz ("The Machine" Brian Cage and "Absolute" Ricky Starks).
