Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for December 9, 2021

Lady Frost beats Kimber Lee in the BTI match.

"The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo and Matthew Rehwoldt beats Chris Sabin and Mickie James after Purrazzo grabs Rehwoldt's hand for leverage on a roll-up and the referee cannot see it.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Matt Cardona, who says that after one year, he has finally gotten a world title opportunity. As he says he will walk out champion, W. Morrissey shows up and mocks him for settling for less and not sticking up for himself. Morrissey says he takes what he wants and deserves, and says that he would not settle for a three-way match, saying he wants a one-on-one match with Moose. Cardona proposes a match between them tonight, and if Morrissey wins, he will bow out of the World title match.

We hear from Violent By Design (Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner). Eric Young says that like a rat to the electrified cheese, Rhino cannot learn his lesson after walking away from something special. He says that tonight, Rhino gets him in a street fight, and that it is not a wise move because he is the better man. Doering says he has a design in case Rhino wants to think he is one step ahead with Heath, Rich Swann and Willie Mack.

Rohit Raju vs. Lawrence D ends in a no-contest. During the match, "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander heads to the ring and throws Raj Singh into the ring steps and powerbombs Rohit Raju into his knee. Alexander then calls out Jonah. After the commercial break, Scott D'Amore shows up and says Jonah is not even in the building after he told him to stay home, then tells him he will face Jonah at Hard To Kill. Alexander is not content, saying the longer he has to wait for Jonah, the longer he has to wait for Moose and the World Championship. He says that D'Amore is testing his patience, but D'Amore says he wants him to learn some as he wants him to be World Champion. D'Amore says he and his family consider Alexander family, and says that he has to get his emotions in check. When Raj Singh gets back up at ringside, Alexander gets him in the ring and plants him with a C4 piledriver before saying this is what he calls keeping his emotions in check.

Backstage, Chris Bey and Hikuleo grab a security guard and remove his belt, but Laredo Kid shows up and stands up for the security guard before leaving. When Chris Bey asks what Laredo Kid said, the security guard said "I'd rather not repeat that on TV."

Backstage, Steve Maclin meets with Scott D'Amore, wanting Trey Miguel one-on-one after not having been pinned or submitted. D'Amore tells him he hasn't been beating anybody and that he put his hands on a security guard, and the answer is no. Maclin leaves, then Rosemary and Havok meet with D'Amore, but D'Amore tells them that he is not the person that he needs to talk to regarding the Knockouts Tag Team Championships.

FinJuice (Juice Robinson and David Finlay) beat "Outlandish" Zicky Dice and VSK.

Moose meets with W. Morrissey backstage. He says that he does not want their World Title match to be a three-way match and that Matt Cardona does not deserve to be in it, and he proposes they both take out Cardona. Morrissey says he does not trust him and will take Cardona out himself.

Backstage, Eric Young tells Deaner and Joe Doering to stay backstage, as he will deal with Rhino himself.

Eric Young beats Rhino in a street fight following the involvement of Deaner, Joe Doering, Rich Swann, Willie Mack and - interestingly - The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson), who attack Swann and Willie Mack. Ater the match, Violent By Design and The Good Brothers stand tall in the middle of the ring.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews The IInspiration (Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee) and The Influence (Tenille Dashwood and Madison Rayne). After Tenille and Jessica try to answer at the same time, Madison Rayne says she has high hopes for this match, then both teams try to choose between "IInspirational Influence" and "Influential IInspiration" for their team name.

Decay (Rosemary, Havok, Black Taurus, Crazzy Steve) beat The IInspiration (Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee) and The Influence (Tenille Dashwood and Madison Rayne) in an eight-person tag match after The IInspiration and The Influence are too busy arguing with each other.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Lady Frost, who is the newest Impact Wrestling signee. Scott D'Amore shows up and welcomes Lady Frost aboard. Lady Frost shows interest in the Knockouts Ultimate X Match, but D'Amore tells her she will have to take that up with Gail Kim. Gail Kim, now part of Impact management, tells Lady Frost she will be part of the match with Tasha Steelz, Rachael Ellering, Jordynne Grace, Rosemary and Chelsea Green.

Matt Cardona beats W. Morrissey by disqualification after Morrissey refuses to listen to the referee's instructions, and after the referee calls for the bell, Morrissey boots the referee in the face. Afterwards, W. Morrissey powerbombs Cardona. Chelsea Green runs into he ring to check on Cardona, then Moose tells Morrissey to pick Cardona up. Morrissey refuses, and boots Moose in the face. Morrissey tells Chelsea to get out of his way, and when Chelsea refuses, Morrissey pulls her off Cardona. When Morrissey approach Cardona, Cardona attacks Morrissey, then lifts up the Impact World Championship.
