NXT WarGames 2021 - The LIVE Results

Backstage, Carmelo Hayes, Trick Williams, Grayson Waller and Tony D'Angelo are met by Andre Chase, who calls them out for not talking strategy, saying one does not go to war without a good gameplan. He says there is no better general for them at ringside than him, and as Trick tells Chase that Carmelo is kicking things off tonight because he does not miss when he shoots, Bron Breakker shows up. With the help of D'Angelo, Breakker makes it clear to Chase that his services are not needed, but Chase tells them not to come crying to him later on.

Raquel Gonzalez, Io Shirai, Kay Lee Ray and Cora Jade beat Toxic Attraction (Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin, Jacy Jayne) and Dakota Kai in a WarGames Match after Cora Jade - with one good shoulder - is able to stack up Jacy Jayne for the win.

Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, LA Knight and Pete Dunne talk in the locker room. Gargano says this might be his last WarGames and that he could think of a better group of guys to team up with, and Knight says their opponents have never had a big match feeling. Ciampa says tonight is Gargano's moment, not just theirs.

MSK (Nash Carter and Wes Lee) get to meet their shaman this week on NXT.

Imperium (Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel) retain the NXT Tag Team Championships against Kyle O'Reilly and Von Wagner after Aichner turns O'Reilly's triangle hold into the set-up for an Imperium Bomb. After the match, the crowd chants "Thank you, Kyle!" Von Wagner then tries to attack Kyle O'Reilly, but O'Reilly sees it coming and fights back, beating Von Wagner up.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Legado del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Raul Mendoza, Elektra Lopez). Escobar says Xyon Quinn bit off more than we chew, and that reality will hit him in the face. He says that Legado del Fantasma is family, and Elektra Lopez says that she is "a grown-ass woman" and that what she does is nobody else's business.

Cameron Grimes beats Duke Hudson in a Hair vs. Hair Match after reversing a 'buckle bomb and sending Hudson head-first into the turnbuckle. After the match, Duke Hudson tries to escape getting a haircut and lays out Cameron Grimes. He tries to give Grimes a hair cut, but Grimes hits him with the Cave-In and starts to shave him bald. When Hudson comes to, he runs away.

NXT New Year's Evil is live on January 4th on USA Network!

Roderick Strong retains the NXT Cruiserweight Championship against Joe Gacy after Gacy has to stop Harland from doing something to Ivy Nile.

We see a vignette of Ikemen Jiro eating a whole bunch of food only to go to the toilet afterwards.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Kyle O'Reilly says he saw Von Wagner turning on him a mile away, and after not having a WarGames Match after five years, he challenges Von Wagner to a steel cage match so they can finish what they started.

Team 2.0 (Carmelo Hayes, Bron Breakker, Grayson Waller and Tony D'Angelo) beat Team Black and Gold (Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Pete Dunne and LA Knight) in the men's WarGames Match. During the match, Dexter Lumis helps out by chasing Trick Williams to the back when he interferes one time too many, and Tony D'Angelo takes the mouthguard out of Pete Dunne's mouth.
