Raw Deal - Raw recap for December 6, 2021

Backstage, Seth Rollins welcomes everyone to tonight's show. He talks about how Kevin Owens connived his way into the WWE Championship match at Day 1, then says that Owens will find himself going one-on-one with Big E in a steel cage. Rollins says they will rip each other apart and that he will enjoy every minute of it, then Day 1 will usher in a new era with a new champion when he beats them both to reclaim his rightful place as WWE Champion. We hear from Big E, who says he went to hell and back to stay WWE Champion and that tonight will be no different when he and Kevin Owens are in a steel cage. He says there is no easy way or shortcut home (a reference to "No Easy Way Out" by Robert Tepper), and he will punish him. After Big E's entrance, we hear from Kevin Owens, who says that Seth Rollins may have been calling him a liar, Rollins is the liar for saying the WWE Championship is his and that Big E is just holding the WWE title for him. He says that he will punish Big E tonight, and that is no lie.

Big E beats Kevin Owens in a steel cage match. During the match, Seth Rollins shows up and slams the cage door on both Big E's and Owens' heads before watching from ringside. After the match, Seth Rollins attacks Big E, then beats up a downed Kevin Owens in the ring. When he goes for The Stomp on Owens, however, Big E hits Rollins with a belly-to-belly suplex before hitting Owens with the Big Ending.

After the commercial break, Big E, Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens are still laid out around the ring. It is revealed that during the commercial break, Bobby Lashley showed up and laid out all three men.

Before the next match, Queen Zelina asks the fans if they would rather cheer for Nikki A.S.H. over her before saying she does not feel as sorry for her as much as she wants to beat her tonight.

Queen Zelina beats Nikki A.S.H.

Backstage, Kevin Patrick interviews RK-Bro (Randy Orton and Matt Riddle). Riddle says he and Orton have set up a "RK-Bro-Nament" to determine new #1 contenders for the Raw tag team titles as well as handling all post-match interviews. Riddle then has Orton put on a blazer, telling him that even the fans want him to put it on. Orton wears the blazer before they head to the ring for the next match.

Backstage, Rhea Ripley tells Nikki A.S.H. she will get the win next time when a fan asks for an autograph. They both find out she is asking Jerry "The King" Lawler, not them, and Nikki A.S.H. walks away soon afterwards after Lawler tries to cheer her up.

The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) beat "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles and Omos by count-out to advance in the RK-Bro-Nament when Omos is too focused on Angelo Dawkins at ringside. After the match, Styles tells Omos he has to listen to him as it is how their team works, but Omos walks away. Afterwards, Matt Riddle interviews AJ Styles, who says it is just a miscommunication as he wants nothing to do with Riddle. When asked if he has anything to add, Orton says "Nope."

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Becky Lynch. Becky says tonight is a big night, but for Liv Morgan, it is the biggest night of her life and career. She says Liv has never been hotter and that the fans are behind her more than ever, but the real battle will not be in the ring, but in Liv's head and heart and with the fans. Becky says that as Liv does better and better, the fans will eventually turn on her, and for that, tonight is just another night for her compared to Liv.

Backstage, Matt Riddle talks with Randy Orton about the post-match interview from earlier, saying they are here to take the fans through an emotional rollercoaster. Orton takes off his blazer and hands it to Orton, saying his broadcasting days are over for the moment and that it is all on Riddle now.

It's time for Miz TV. Tonight's guest is Edge. After The Miz says Maryse does not go to places like Memphis, Tennessee, he talks about his confrontation with Edge and how Edge complimented him, then wants to know if Edge is a shadow of his former self before bringing Edge out. Edge tells Miz that he meant what he said when he complimented him, but Miz says he things Edge has lost his edge, saying the old Edge would have Speared him out of his shoes while the current Edge is still physical but sounds weak. Edge tells Miz not to mistake his kindness for weakness and says Miz has bigger issues for him, but Miz says he needed his kindness when he was starting out in WWE, walking on eggshells and outcasted for not fitting the mold. He says that everyone was more worried about keeping their spot while he was outcasted, and tells Edge he does not want or need his kindness. Edge told him it was in Memphis that he told him to ride the storm out only to be brushed off. Edge says he went through that seven years earlier and says that if someone pulled him aside, he would have listened, and he sees new people as new opportunities. He then tells The Miz to look in the mirror and realize he is an ass. Miz tells Edge he is an hypocrite and vulnerable, and says that his career has surprised his. Miz then says he has no problem beating him at Day 1, and Edge says that if this is a challenge, it is on. Edge then says they can go at it now, but Miz says "no," not because he is scared. Suddenly, Edge psyches him out, causing Miz to fall back where he stands. Edge says "Not afraid?" before leaving. Miz is livid.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Liv Morgan, who says that while Becky Lynch is not entirely wrong, Becky is scared that people are watching her to see her take the title and that she may not get her way. Liv says she is going to do everything in her power to get what she wants, which is the WWE Raw Women's Championship.

We see another vignette for Veer Mahaan.

Matt Riddle guests on commentary for the next match.

Austin does jumping jacks at first like he was before, but Vince tells him to use his brains. Austin gets an idea and leaves Vince's office.

Finn Balor beats T-Bar. After the match, Finn Balor is attacked from behind by Austin Theory, who hits him with the ATL before taking a selfie.

Backstage, Kevin Patrick interviews MVP and Bobby Lashley. MVP says this is an era where people have become way too comfortable disrespecting others due to a lack of consequences, and says that Lashley not being mentioned in the WWE title picture was disrespectful. Lashley says that when he is disrespectful, people get laid out.

We see a video package of Liv Morgan's road to WWE Superstardom which also stars Liv's mother.
