Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for May 6, 2021



Jake Something beats Shera on the pre-show.



Chris Sabin beats Rhino with a La Magistral Cradle to qualify for the six-way Impact World Championship #1 Contender's Match at Under Siege.



Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Brian Myers, who is furious that he is not in the qualifier matches for Under Siege when Rosemary tries to warn him. Myers refuses to listen to her, and he gets tackled by Black Taurus.

Backstage, Don Callis tells The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) to focus on winning, and Kenny Omega says that he will watch over them to ensure they start winning again.

Taylor Wilde beats Susan. During the match, Tennille Dashwood and Kaleb to get a closer look at the match, and Kaleb stops Kimber Lee from interfering while Tennille gets Susan caught on the ropes.



Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Deonna Purrazzo, who says she is not avoiding Taylor Wilde and says that Susan and Kimber Lee have to earn the right to have her at ringside. Suddenly, Decay shows up, and Rosemary tells Deonna to her face that she is a coward. As Deonna is about to leave, Havok shows up and reminds her she is a champion with no challenger. Deonna Purrazzo says she will propose a match to Scott D'Amore between Havok and Rosemary with the winner facing her for the Impact Knockouts Championship, then leaves.

We hear from W. Morrissey. He says the fans may recognize the face, but they do not know the man, and that if they looked into his eyes, they would see a man in agony. He says that the fans were the first in the industry to give up on him, and that every person he thought was a friend turned out to be a friend. Morrissey says he had to rebuild himself and did, and now he wants everyone to feel the agony he once felt. Morrissey says that will start with Willie Mack at Under Siege.

Trey Miguel beats Rohit Raju with the Hourglass to qualify for the six-way Impact World Championship #1 Contender's Match at Under Siege. After the match, Jake Something shows up, lays out Shera and attacks Rohit Raju in the ring, powerbombing him into Shera before clotheslining Shera out of the ring.



At Swinger's Palace, Alisha loses the last of her money, then Trey Miguel shows up and says he has qualified. Matt Cardona, Chris Bey and Chris Sabin refuse to be counted out, and "The Cowboy" James Storm says he will be qualifying soon and winning the world title. Chris Bey tries to drive a wedge between James Storm and Chris Sabin, but Storm and Sabin have none of it and Storm tells Chris Bey he will see him at Under Siege when he wins tonight.

"The Big LG" Doc Gallows beats Juice Robinson following the distraction by "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson, Kenny Omega and Don Callis. After the match, Anderson attack David Finley while Omega takes the boots to Juice, then Eddie Edwards runs into the ring only for the numbers game to overpower him.



Backstage, Deonna Purrazzo refuses to do an interview for Gia Miller, then Scott D'Amore shows up and makes Havok vs. Rosemary with the winner facing Deonna for the Impact Knockouts Championship at Under Siege official for next week.

El Phantasmo beats VSK in his Impact Wrestling debut.



Rachael Ellering beats Kiera Hogan.



Backstage, Don Callis meets with Moose. He says that Moose should not be qualifying for anything because he is a bonafide star, but Moose tells Don Callis he has a message to go send.

Backstage, Fire 'n Flava (Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz) regroup when Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering show up. Fire 'n Flava call Jordynne "a non-factor," and Jordynne dares Tasha to get in the ring with her next week so she can see how much a non-factor she is.

Moose beats "The Cowboy" James Storm after Storm hurts himself hitting the Last Call superkick to qualify for the six-way Impact World Championship #1 Contender's Match at Under Siege. After the match, Moose wraps a steel chair around Storm's hurt knee, then stomps it. Chris Sabin runs into the ring to check on Storm as Moose leaves.

AEW Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament - The Deadly Draw: Night 2 Quarterfinals

In backstage footage from earlier today, Big Swole draws Gray. Her partner is revealed to be Lil' Swole (who is best known as Nicole Savoy). Also in footage from earlier today, "The Librarian" Leva Bates and Rache Chanel have both drawn Yellow.

Big Swole and Lil' Swole beat "The Librarian" Leva Bates and Rache Chanel to advance in the tournament.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Ivelisse draws Pink and gets Diamante as a tag team partner. Also in backstage footage from earlier today, Madusa tells Dasha Gonzalez it's time for her to draw. Dash draws Blue and gets Rachael Ellering as a tag team partner.

Ivelisse and Diamante beat Dasha Gonzales and Rachael Ellering to advance in the tournament.

Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews Big Swole and Lil' Swole. Big Swole says the chemistry between them is off the charts. Alex Marvez also interviews Dasha Gonzales, who says her match tonight was the experience of a lifetime and something she has been looking forward to, and calls the match her starting point. She hopes that the match isn't her last, and thanks All Elite Wrestling for giving her the opportunity. Alex Marvez also interviews Ivelisse and Diamante. Ivelisse admits she and Diamante had a rocky start at first, but respect is what kept them together. Diamante says that she and Ivelisse are a threat.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for March 9, 2017



Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards fight each other in the crowd at the start of the show. Security and referees have to try desperately to separate both men.

Jeremy Borash becomes the third man on commentary thanks to the new management. He then both implies and acknowledges that Josh Mathews isn't popular with the audience, calling Mathews an arrogant prick and saying that he has a lot of bombs to drop tonight thanks to the new management. Cody Rhodes shows up with Brandi Rhodes, says the show can start now that he's here and asks the crowd if they want to see him in a match with Moose. Security tells Cody to leave as The DCC ("The Cowboy" James Storm, Eddie Kingston, Bram) make their way to the ring. It is then announced before the break that The DCC's opponents have never been seen on Impact Wrestling before. After the break, we find out that those opponents are Reno Scam ( Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend), the tag team champions from Future Shock Wrestling.





Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend) get an upset victory against The DCC (Kingston and Bram). "The Cowboy" James Storm confronts Kingston and Bram after the match, and the three of them patch things up quickly.



Jeff Hardy gets scratched at by a monkey as he prepares to face a kangaroo housing the spirit of "Smokin'" Joe Frazier.

McKenzie Mitchell finds out from Sienna that Maria Kanellis-Bennett that because of Allie's actions two weeks ago, Maria has suffered a nervous breakdown. Sienna tells Allie that she hasn't gotten rid of her, and that her happiness will not last long.

Braxton Sutter beats Marshe Rockett, DJ Z and Caleb Konley. Just before the end, Allie hits a top rope cross body to the outside of the ring on Rockett. After the match, a deranged, disheveled and distraught Laurel Van Ness shows up and screams at both Sutter and Allie while still in her wedding dress from two weeks ago.

Sienna beats Rachael Ellering.



Bruce Prichard shows up, having not been on Impact in a few years. He says that this Impact is not the same Impact is not the same one that he knows. He says that the old Impact was one of hope, and where people could go to be great. Prichard then states that TNA is dead, and that Impact called him to come back to make it great again, as he has been in the business for quite some time. He then introduces the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Lashley, whom he calls "walking armageddon." Lashley says he has done what he said he would do, and has walked through numerous opponents and represented the current president of the United States, too. Prichard tells Lashley that everyone will eventually have to decree him as the absolute best, as there will soon be nobody in the back to challenge him. Suddenly, music hits and out comes Alberto El Patron. Alberto tells Lashley to shut up, and that Lashley has yet to beat him. Suddenly, Ethan Carter III shows up and tells Alberto he has to earn his title shot, and challenges Lashley for the World title. Lashley tells EC3 he's beaten him week after week and that he's done and doesn't deserve a shot. Lashley dares Alberto to step up, and Alberto wants to fight Lashley right now. Bruce Prichard then makes it official: this match is happening tonight.



McKenzie Mitchell interviews Eddie Edwards. It doesn't take long for Angelina Love to show up, however, and tells him that he isn't a real man while Davey Richards is. She then slaps him, and Eddie asks Angelina why she hits harder than Davey even though she called Davey a real man, then walks off.

Cody shows up, looking for Moose again. Jeremy Borash tells Cody that Moose is in Japan, but Cody calls JB a "stooge." He then tosses the GFW NEX*GEN Championship into the ring and waits for Moose for a few seconds after being confronted by security, then leaves.

"Dirty" Dutch Mantel shows up. He almost introduces himself as Zeb Colter, then says that was his name in an alternate universe and introduces himself as Dutch Mantell. He says he earned the nickname "Dirty" the hard way by going all over the world and facing everyone he could. He says that he was called up much like Bruce Prichard to help make Impact great. He was here eight years ago, when AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode, Kurt Angle, Sting and a litany of popular names were here. As time passed, all of them - and Dutch - left due to a lack of leadership, vision and respect. He says the fans, however, have never left. Dutch then says he's back and he's here to listen to the fans, as the fans are the ones that make Impact great.

Jeff Hardy faces the kangaroo which houses the spirit of "Smokin'" Joe Frazier. He and "Broken" Matt Hardy then head to their next destination in their expedition of gold. As they do, however, Decay (Rosemary, Crazzy Steve, Abyss) shows up at the arena and pick up the TNA World Tag Team Championships from off the ground, thanking them - and Vanguard-1 - for the gold.



Jeremy Borash announces that on July 2nd, 2017, Slammiversary XV will be live on pay-per-view!

Alberto El Patron beats Lashley to win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship - refereed to on-air as the Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship - after using the title as a weapon. During the match, Ethan Carter III shows up to watch the match from the stage. After the match, Lashley almost beats up one of the two referees, and Alberto El Patron declares himself the new World Heavyweight Championship.



After Impact went off the air, Lashley is in disbelief, and Bruce Prichard tells Alberto El Patron that he did not win the title against Lashley cleanly and that he can win the World Championship that way. Alberto El Patron doesn't care, saying he's the champion regardless.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for May 11, 2016

Finn Balor returns tonight...

Finn Balor starts tonight's show in his first appearance since losing the NXT Championship to Samoa Joe. The crowd chants "Thank you, Finn," but Finn says he should be thanking them. He says his matches with Samoa Joe in London and Dallas could have went either way, but he won. As soon as he says that their match in Lowell, Massachusetts could have went either way, "The Drifter" Elias Samson shows up and sings a song about Finn. Finn responds with a Pele Kick that knocks Samson out of the ring, then he tosses the guitar at Samson on his way out.

Last week, Cathy Kelley interviewed Eric Young. He says there's no doubt in his mind that the best are in NXT and the WWE Universe, and that he's ready to prove he belongs. He says we're looking at a world-class champion, a world-class athlete, and a world-class maniac.

Finn Balor says he'll send a message to Samoa Joe after he's done beating "The Drifter" Elias Samson.

American Alpha (Jason Jordan and Chad Gable) beat Corey Hollis and John Skyler despite the distraction from The Revival (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson).



Cathy Kelley interviews "The King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura. When asked what "Time to rage" means, Nakamura says "Rage? Shaking is 'rage.'"

Austin Aries is talking with NXT General Manager William Regal, saying he wants to prove he's not just good, he's great. Blake and Murphy barge in, saying they're tired of being disrespected while asking for a tag team title shot. Austin Aries calls them the pot calling the kettle black due to their barging into Regal's office, and Alexa Bliss shows up after Aries namedrops her while saying they didn't have the decency to bring her into the room with them. Regal then makes a match next week between Blake and Murphy and the team of Austin Aries and a tag team partner of his choice.

Alexa Bliss beats Rachel Ellering.

Cathy Kelley interviews Bayley when Nia Jax shows up and makes fun of her Women's Championship loss to Asuka, and that when they get in the ring again, she won't be as lucky as she was the first time. Bayley tells Nia Jax that she choked her out once and she can choke her out again.

Bayley vs. Nia Jax is confirmed for next week.

Finn Balor beats "The Drifter" Elias Samson with a move now known as "1916." After the match, Finn Balor admits Samoa Joe beat him for the NXT Championship and that he wants his rematch for the title. He is obsessed with NXT and the NXT Championship, but now he is possessed, and he's ready to take the NXT title back. Samoa Joe shows up talking trash to Finn, but NXT General Manager William Regal rushes into the ring and makes the rematch official for NXT TakeOver on June 8th before the two can fight. Samoa Joe is livid, saying that he went through hell to get the title and that Finn Balor doesn't deserve another shot. Finn answers by hitting Joe with a dive over the top rope.
