Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for October 14, 2021

It is announced that in the Digital Media Championship Tournament, Fallah Bahh beats Sam Beale to advance in the tournament despite the interference attempt by Manny Lemons and "Outlandish" Zicky Dice. Also, Jordynne Grace beats Johnny Swinger wth a rear naked choke to advance in the tournament after Hernandez's interference attempt backfires. Fallah Bahh and Jordynne Grace advance to the six-way match in the finals to decide the first ever Impact Digital Media Champion.

Fallah Bahh beats Hernandez in the BTI match after Johnny Swinger throws something into the ring to distract the ref only to inadvertently hit Hernandez with the fanny pack shot behind the back.

El Phantasmo beats Rohit Raju and Willie Mack in a three-way match to advance in the X Division Title Tournament.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews "Inevitable" Ace Austin and Madman Fulton. Austin says he has made it clear that his business with Christian Cage and the World title is far from over, but with "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander declaring Option C, things have gotten more difficult. He calls the Call Your Shot Gauntlet the perfect opportunity to get back on track, and if he wins tonight's battle royal, his chances are essentially doubled. Madman Fulton says that this will put him at #1, where he can throw eighteen others over the top rope. Austin says he leaves nothing to chance and that becoming World Champion is inevitable.

Savannah Evans beats Lady Frost. After the match, Deonna Purrazzo and Matthew Rehwoldt show up. Deonna mentions her and Mickie James' Pick Your Poison Matches, then mentions that Mickie will have her first Impact match in six years. She says that Savannah Evans is "Mickie James' poison" and picks her to be Mickie James' opponent. Savannah and Deonna shake hands.

We hear from Steve Maclin, who says that people do not know a lot about him because he controls what people know about his background. He says that there are "ribbon chasers" who chase medals and make guys like him king. He says he is seeing people chase after the X Division Championship and look for glory on social media, which he calls a weakness. He says that he will become the X Division Champion and put the target on his back, because he is in it for the mayhem.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Gail Kim. She says that there were so many great moments from Knockouts Knockdown, including handing Masha Slamovich an Impact Wrestling contract, then Rosemary and Havok show up. Rosemary asks Gail Kim if it is the right move to bring two innocent humans to the darkness that she and Havok harbor. Suddenly, Gail Kim gets a letter from Sydney, Australia from The IInspiration (Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee), stating that they are excited to perform for the fans for the Knockouts Tag Team titles at Bound For Glory. Rosemary says she is excited to bring her and Havok's brand of violence and chaos into their lives.

Rich Swann beats VSK.

Backstage, Swinger's Palace is all packed up. John E. Bravo and Hernandez go their separate ways with Johnny Swinger, and one of the Swingerellas confesses to Swinger that she has feelings for him. He ends up making her cry when he says that he is not a one-woman man, then leaves with a painting. Chris Sabin checks the place out one last time with Swingerella #2, whose real name is Riley. Riley wants Swann to stay with her in Nashville, Tennessee, but Sabin says his one true love is in Las Vegas at Bound For Glory. Sabin sits down at the blackpack table, where we look back at some of the best Swinger's Palace moments. Chris Sabin then says "I'll always love this place" as the camera zooms away and the lights go out.

Backstage, Heath meets with Scott D'Amore regarding his contract. Before he signs, Heath tells D'Amore that he wants his first match against Violent By Design (Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner) with Rhino as his partner. Scott D'Amore questions if Rhino wants to be Heath's partner, and while Heath admits that Eric Young is brainwashing Rhino, he will reach him. If he cannot, he will face Violent By Design alone. D'Amore gives him the match. Heath signs.

Chris Sabin beats Chris Bey after both Bullet Club (Hikuleo and El Phantasmo) and FinJuice (Juice Robinson and David Finlay) are both ejected from ringside.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Trey Miguel, who talks about his chances at Bound For Glory and who he's beaten when Alex Zayne shows up and says that Trey has lived up to some of the hype. He says Trey Miguel only won because he put Laredo Kid down for him. Alex Zayne says that Trey Miguel cannot beat him, and Trey Miguel takes this as a challenge and tells him to bring it. Zayne accepts Trey's challenge.

We hear from The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson). Anderson says that he and Gallows do everything together, then complains that they have no opponents for Bound For Glory after Gallows complains that Impact is not listening to their booking ideas. Anderson warns Impact not to make them come down to Bound For Glory and take care of things themselves.

W. Morrissey last eliminates Chris Sabin in a battle royal to enter the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match at Bound For Glory at #20. As per pre-match stipulation, Sabin must enter the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match at #1.

Minoru Suzuki is coming soon to Impact!

Josh Matthews moderates a summit between Christian Cage and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander. Christian says he is taking back what was taken from him seven years ago and that he came back to win titles and have legendary matches that stand the test of time. He also says that Impact gave an opportunity when no one else did, and he is proud to be back at their world champion. Josh Alexander says that he is one of the best tag team champs in Impact history and that the X Division Championship meant that he has arrived as a singles competitor, and that facing Sabin planted the seeds for exercising Option C. He says that it pained him to give up the X Division title, but the prize is sweeter on the other side, and he has no regrets about giving the title away for a chance at the world title. Christian says he sees the hunger and passion in Alexander's eyes and says Alexander has been overlooked in his career, then says that is where the similarities end, as there is nobody who compares to him in the ring. Alexander says he grew up watching Christian hailing from a place not far from where he lived and watched his career, then says he is the wild card and who Christian has to watch, because he knows the cards that Christian plays. Christian says he has been on the biggest stages in the business and knows what it takes, and says Alexander cannot channel his emotions and will find out he can swim in the deep water while Alexander cannot. He admits that he has watched Alexander's career from before and that Alexander has to act like he's been there before, and he says that Alexander cannot do that. Alexander says Christian's words mean nothing and that he has no respect for him, and that Christian will find out what it is like to step in the ring with him at Bound For Glory. Alexander leaves, and Chrsitian says Alexander proved his point about not channeling his emotions.
