Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman head to the ring. Roman says that as the back of his shirt says, "We the ones," then tells the crowd to acknowledge him. Heyman tells the crowd they are not loud enough, and they get louder before Heyman calls the fans "Baltimorons" before saying The Demon was exorcised by Roman. He says that like a shark that circles around the island of relevancy, Roman only swims forward, and Roman looks forward to Crown Jewel, which will not be held in Suplex City when Brock Lesnar meets "The Suplexorcist" Roman Reigns. Heyman proclaims that Roman Reigns will smash Brock Lesnar and retain the WWE Universal Championship at Crown Jewel, then Brock Lesnar shows up. Brock and Roman have a staredown, then Roman attacks Lesnar only to get suplexed. The Usos run into the line only to get clotheslined as Roman rolls out of the ring, and Lesnar dares Roman to get back in the ring. Roman teases getting back in the ring, but ultimately decides against it, and that leads to Brock Lesnar grabbing Jimmy Uso and putting him in the F5 before doing the same to Jey Uso.
Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Charlotte Flair. Charlotte demands thanks for being the first overall pick in the women's division before making it clear she is here to dominate SmackDown.
Before the next match, we find out that Riddick Moss is now known as "Madcap Moss" and that he is tasked with making Happy Corbin laugh with jokes.
Happy Corbin beats Kevin Owens following the distraction from Madcap Moss.
The King of the Ring and Queen's Crown Tournaments starts next week on SmackDown and continues on Raw on October 11th!
The second round of WWE Draft picks are decided. #5 is Drew McIntyre for SmackDown. #6 is RKO (Matt Riddle and Randy Orton) for Raw. #7 is The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) for SmackDown. #8 is Edge for Raw.
Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Drew McIntyre. McIntyre says he is proud of what he achieved on Raw and that he is thinking about his past, his present and his future, as he began on SmackDown all those years ago. While he feels like there is unfinished business for him on the blue brand, he says that the blue brand is waiting for someone to flip the table on them. He then says that his future is the Universal Championship.
Edge heads to the ring. Edge comes to the realization that he is the only wrestler here who was on the first episode of SmackDown, and while SmackDown has always been his home, he has been drafted to Raw, which gives him a whole new set of opponents and challenges. This brings him to Seth Rollins, who put him in an ambulance in Madison Square Garden and has since challenged him to another match. He knows Seth knows that he is not 100% and that he has the advantage, but he has to answer the challenge. Edge says he is on the road to 100%, and tells Seth Rollins that he will have to beat him to get him to admit he is better. Seth then appears on the TitanTron and says that Edge is disappointing him with what he is not saying right now. He also says that he tends not to believe a word that comes out of Edge's mouth, then says he is an honest man and reveals that he is at Edge's home. Edge runs to the back and Seth Rollins find out the door is unlocked. Seth then begins to explore the house and starts looking for food in the refrigerator, and decides to have an apple and some orange juice. He then notices the art that Edge's daughters have made. Rollins calls the art "rotten" and says Edge's daughters do not have a future as artists as he closes the refrigerator door, then finds Edge's daughters' backpacks before coming across the study, where a family portrait is on the fireplace mantle. He sits on the couch, then turns on the electronic fireplace before proclaiming the house is so cozy that he could stay all night. Backstage, Edge calls Beth Phoenix, telling him to stay at his brother's house and that he will call Daniel and David and get things settled. (Daniel and David are Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood of FTR from All Elite Wrestling, respectively.)
Before the next match, Carmella calls Liv Morgan a bitch for attacking her before the bell rings and says that this is the last chance Liv will have at destroying her face before having two stage hands put a mask on her. Carmella then gets back in the ring and hits Liv Morgan with a facebuster.
The third round of draft picks are made. #9 is Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss for SmackDown. #10 is Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H. for Raw. #11 is Hit Row (Isaiah "Swerve" Scott, Ashante "Thee" Adonis, Top Dolla, B-Fab) for SmackDown. #12 is Keith "Bearcat" Lee for Raw.
The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) and The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) beat Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode and Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis) in an eight-man tag team match.
We see a video package of Xavier Woods and Boys and Girls Club as part of WWE's partnership with the group as part of Bullying Prevention Month.
The fourth round begins. #13 is Naomi for SmackDown. #14 is Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio for Raw. #15 is Jeff Hardy for SmackDown. #16 is Austin Theory for Raw.
Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Jeff Hardy. Suddenly, Brock Lesnar shows up and Jeff Hardy walks away. Lesnar apologizes for interrupting, then thanks Paul Heyman for making him a free agent. He says that because of this, he gets to do whatever he wants to do.
Backstage, Roman Reigns asks Paul Heyman if he is good friends with Brock Lesnar, and also asks if they are good friends. He says that if he and Paul are good friends, then that means Paul looks out for him and his family. Roman then yells at Paul Heyman for trying to suck up to him regarding The Usos' (Jimmy and Jey Uso) WWE draft status, then tells him to stick to the plan. He tells Heyman to go to Raw and ensure The Usos are drafted to SmackDown. When Heyman leaves, Roman tells The Usos to go to Raw with Heyman and make it clear that they are to be drafted to SmackDown. He then says that if they are not, then they should "leave [Heyman] for dead" at Raw.
Becky Lynch guests on commentary for the next match.
Sasha Banks beats Bianca Belair. During the match, Bianca inadvertently backflips into Becky Lynch, and after a confrontation with Becky, Becky traps Bianca by the ponytail as she tries to get back into the ring, allowing Sasha to win with a stack-up pin. After the match, Charlotte runs into the ring and lays out both Sasha and Bianca. The show ends with Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch starting at each other while holding their respective championships.
