Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for October 21, 2021

W. Morrisey beats Jake Something in the BTI match.

Bullet Club (Chris Bey and Hikuleo) vs. Finn Juice (Juice Robinson and David Finlay) ends in controversy with neither team winning. During the match, the referee is inadvertently hit by Chris Bey's boots and knocked out as Finaly hits a uranagi. A second referee shows up to call the match, and when the first referee comes to, he counts a pinfall for Chris Bey while the second referee counts a pinfall for Juice Robinson. This leads to both referees not knowing who the winner is.

Backstage, FinJuice (Juice Robinson and David Finlay) and Bullet Club (Chris Bey and Hikuleo) argue along with the two referees. Scott D'Amore stops the argument by saying somebody will be challenging The Good Brothers for the Impact World Tag Team titles, and he will make a decision tonight.

We see a video package of "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander talking about his life and career leading up to his match with Christian Cage for the Impact World Championship at Bound For Glory.

The team of John Skyler and Tenille Dashwood beat the team of Fallah Bahh and Jordynne Grace and the team of Chelsea Green and Crazzy Steve in a three-way tag team match.

Rhino is in the ring. As Rhino is about to speak, Heath shows up. Heath says it has been a while and says that he and the fans are confused and that it is definitely because of Violent By Design (Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner), then tells Rhino that if there is anything he can take away from tonight, it is that he loves him and that he is his best friend and his family misses "Uncle Rhino." As Rhino flashes a smile at Heath, Violent By Design shows up. Eric Young says Violent By Design is forever and something one does not walk away from him, and reminds Rhino he made a pact and promise to him and that Violent By Design is his family now. Heath tells Rhino not to rejoin Violent By Design, and Eric Young tells Rhino he told him the truth and made him into his pure form. Heath tells Rhino he is being brainwashed, but Eric Young has none of it. This soon leads to Violent By Design attacking Heath only for Rhino to pull Deaner off of Heath. Eric Young commands Rhino to break Heath in half, and Rhino teases hitting the Gore only to roll out of the ring and leave. Violent By Design then continue to attack Heath, and Eric Young breaks the flagpole of the Violent By Design flag on Heath's back.

We see a video package for Minoru Suzuki, who is coming soon to Impact.

Mickie James beats Savannah Evans in a Pick Your Poison Match that is also Mickie's first match in Impact in six years. During the match, Deonna Purrazzo shows up to watch the rest of the match. After the match, Deonna Purrazzo taunts Mickie James, laying a hand on her - but not hitting her - in the process, then has Matthew Rehwoldt attack Mickie from behind.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Deonna Purrazzo, who says she followed the rules of the no-contact clause, did not hit Mickie and that she did not even have to hit Mickie James. When Scott D'Amore shows up, D'Amore tells Purrazzo that she still made contact with Mickie when she touched her, but tells her that he would rather have lose the Knockouts title in the ring than a courtoom. He also bans Matthew Rehwoldt from ringside at Bound For Glory for breaking the intent of the no-contact clause.

Backstage, Brian Myers cuts Manny Lemons and Sam Beale from the learning tree and leaves Zicky Dice and VSK as part of his learning tree.

Backstage, Scott D'Amore is met by Hardy Evans, The IInspiration's (Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee) entertainment barrister (and formerly Deonna Purrazzo's barrister). Rosemary and Havok teleport into the room. Scott D'Amore has Rosemary, Havok and Hardy Evans sign the contract for the Knockouts tag team title match. Rosemary has to be stopped from signing the contract with Hardy Evans' blood. They all sign. Rosemary then says that she and Havok cannot wait to bite The IInspiration's faces off.

Trey Miguel beats Alex Zayne. After the match, Steve Maclin runs into the ring and attacks Trey Miguel from behind and takes Trey out with a piledriver. Bullet Club then runs into the ring and gangs up on Maclin. El Phantasmo superkicks Maclin, then punches Trey in the groin.

It is announced that both will get a shot at The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) and the Impact World Tag Team Championships at Bound For Glory.

"The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander heads to the ring. Alexander talks about his match for the World Championship at Bound For Glory, and says that while it is a risk, the risk for this match is nothing compared to nearly having his career ended by injury and coming back to the sport he loves. Alexander then says that he has worked for every opportunity that has led him to this and that he will take risks all day long, and the one risk he is not willing to take is telling his sons not to chase their dreams, as the biggest risks have the biggest rewards. Christian Cage shows up, and says that while he understands the enormity of Alexander's situation having been on the biggest stages in the industry, Alexander will be able to deal with the pressure if he can keep his emotions in check. He also says that as much as he respects Alexander, Alexander has done nothing to show that he has it in him. Alexander says he has heard his critics over the years, saying it is similar to what Christian has received and has given him a chip on his shoulder a mile wide. He mentions Christian Cage wanting to come to Impact to make a difference for younger talent, then says he will never be a full part of Impact as long as AEW pays him and that he will bring the Impact World title back where it belongs. Alexander then says he will slam the Forbidden Door in Christian's face and prove that anyone else who wants to walk through the door will see him on the other side. Christian says Alexander is not the best wrestling in the ring, let alone Canada, and that he will stay champion. Alexander takes Christian down with a double leg takedown, starting a brawl that security has to break up. Members of the locker room also have to get involved and keep both men apart.
