Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for October 16, 2021

CM Punk guests on commentary for this week.

Malakai Black beats Dante Martin after Dante Martin lands on his hurt leg on a springboard move and Malakai Black hits the Black Mass. After the match, Malakai Black looks back at Dante Martin and nods.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus. Jungle Boy says Christian Cage is at home with neck issues and his head still feels bad, then Kenny Omega and Adam show up and complain about them getting TV time. As Luchasaurus confronts them, The Young Bucks superkick Jungle Boy, and both Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus are attacked. Jungle Boy is forced to watch as Luchasaurus is put through a nearby table.

The Inner Circle - Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, Santana and Ortiz - head to the ring. Santana thanks the Miami, Florida crowd for their support, then says that while he and Ortiz have been handling business, he has noticed that Chris Jericho and Jake Hager have been dealing with American Top Team. Suddenly, Dan Lambert, The Men of the Year (Scorpio Sky and "All Ego" Ethan Page) and American Top Team show up, and Lambert asks if that is all the members of The Inner Circle in the ring before demanding respect. Jericho calls Lambert a fat-faced dipshit. This leads to a "fat-faced dipshit" chant from the crowd before Jericho asks Paige VanZant if she has an obsession with him and wants to slide into his DMs before saying he wouldn't touch her with her husband's genitalia. He also asks what kind of filter she used for Instagram, then says the jokes are over and that The Inner Circle is reunited tonight. He then challenges Men of the Year and American Top Team to a ten-man tag match, as there is nobody crazier than The Inner Circle. Lambert says if it were up to him, his team would beat their asses every day of the week and get the easy paycheck, but The Men of the Year have other plans and The Inner Circle have the biggest mouths, with Hager having the biggest head he has ever seen. He then says that Sammy Guevara is the only person on The Inner Circle with gold and has the stroke to get the tag team match they want, assuming they can meet their terms next week. Scorpio Sky says that Jericho might have been scrambled by a Jorge Masvidal knee, then says he has beaten Jericho twice. Suddenly, Guevara says he will see them all next week and he will kick all of their asses.

Las Super Ranas beat The Lucha Bros. (Penta el Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix) to become the AAA Tag Team Champions...almost. During the match, The Lucha Bros. unmask their opponents to reveal that they are FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler). Near the end of the match, Tully Blanchard shows up and distracts referee Aubrey Edwards. This allows Dax Harwood to hit Penta el Zero Miedo out of the air with one of the AAA tag titles to win the tag team titles.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Dante Martin and Lio Rush. Lio Rush says what happened tonight was meant to happen, and that one must fail in order to succeed. He says that Dante failed of his own doing, and tells Dante to listen to him. He then says that from here on out, Dante will have a new tag team partner and his name is Lio Rush.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone confronts FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) in a stairwell. MJF congratulates FTR, then MJF demands money from Andrade. Andrade asks if he wants cash or a check. MJF says "Both." He gets it, hugs him, says this is a one-time thing, then goes downstairs.

Jon Moxley quickly beats Wheeler Yuta. Orange Cassidy then helps check on a downed Wheeler Yuta after the match, and it becomes apparent that Wheeler Yuta may be injured.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Serena Deeb, who says it was only a matter of time before she dragged the women's division to her level, as she said it got too comfortable and had too much. Suddenly, she is attacked by Hikaru Shida.

The Superkliq (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Adam Cole) beat The Dark Order (Evil Uno, Alex "3" Reynolds, John "4" Silver) in a trios match. After the match, Jungle Boy gets into the ring and goes after Adam Cole, but The Young Bucks over power him and throw him out of the ring. Jungle Boy chase The Superkliq out of the ring with a chair from underneath the ring, blocks Brnadon Cutler's cold spray and puts Brandon Cutler in the Snare Trap while spraying the cold spray into Cutler's eyes.

We see "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes and Arn Anderson at the Nightmare Academy, where Arn Anderson and the students put Cody through the ringer. Arn Anderson tells Cody that he can't let anyone down, and says that Malakai Black has it coming.

MJF heads to the ring. He says it is bad enough he is in a place that "reeks of hookers and gasoline," then chews out Justin Roberts for not announcing his entrance before doing his own ring entrance for his match with Darby Allin, which is not scheduled for tonight. MJF calls out Darby Allin, who is not here, then makes fun of Darby for no-showing "like a gutless coward" and says he broke him mentally, then finds out that Darby was attacked last week before chewing Darby out for no-showing again. He says that this is why Darby Allin will always be the #2 guy in AEW and "mid." He then says he is #1 and that since he cares so much about the fans getting a match that he brings out Wardlow, who drags referee Bryce Remsberg to the ring. MJF then demands that Bryce Remsburg count to ten so that he can beat Darby Allin by count-out despite the fact that there is no match advertised for tonight. As Remsburg gets to ten, the lights go out and Sting arrives with a baseball bat in his hand. MJF throws Wardlow in front of Sting, who smacks Wardlow in the gut with the baseball bat as MJF runs away. MJF is furious as he stands on the entrance ramp, then teases getting in the ring only to change his mind and leave even as Sting drops the baseball bat.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Anna Jay. Suddenly, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. puts over The Superkliq (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Adam Cole) while calling The Dark Order (Evil Uno, Alex "3" Reynolds, John "4" Silver) "losers." She also calls Anna Jay a loser and a follower for being a part of The Dark Order, which leads to a brawl after Anna Jay forearms her.

Penelope Ford beats Kiera Hogan with the Muta Lock. After the match, Ruby Soho runs into the ring and beats up Penelope Ford before throwing her out of the ring.

We hear from Miro, who says that his god is not answering and that he cannot go home without a championship. He wonders if he has not praised his god enough and says he has been given a body of granite and a neck of sand. He wants to know why his god has forsaken his champion, then says he will made either a champion or an enemy and that he will snap necks under his foot until he forgives himself, redeems others and becomes champion once again.

Tony Schiavone interviews "Hangman" Adam Page in the ring. Adam Page says he is excited for Full Gear, and talks about how he and his friends left Ring of Honor to create All Elite Wrestling believing they could and would change the world, then says the world changed them and especially himself. He admits he failed to become AEW's first World Champion after losing to Chris Jericho, then lost to PAC and started losing a lot more, such as his confidence, his friends and himself. It then felt like that the one thing he never lost - and in fact, grew - was the fans that kept chanting "Cowboy Shit," which he considers real, as "Cowboy Shit" was shooting his shot on day one, defending the AEW World Tag Team Champions and letting in new friends. He also says it stands for standing up for those new friends when they stuck their necks out for them, and having the balls to head back home for the birth of his son. Page says that last week, he picked up the phone, put his body on the line, and won a shot at the AEW World Championship in the Casino Battle Royal, saying that when you fall off, you get back on the horse, because that is "cowboy shit." He then says he is not a fortune teller and that he will not predict how Full Gear will end for him, but he knows that the fans still believe in him, and for the first time in his life, he does, too. Page then promises that he will give the fans everything - his heart, his soul, every fiber of his being, his blood, his sweat and his tears - and at Full Gear, he will give the fans "cowboy shit."

Bryan Danielson beats Bobby Fish with a knee bar.

Preston "10" Vance, Jon Moxley, Orange Cassidy, Powerhouse Hobbs, Dustin Rhodes, Bryan Danielson, Lance Archer and Eddie Kingston are revealed to be in the World Title Eliminator Tournament.

On the first commercial break of Rhodes To The Top, Tony Schiavone interviews Bryan Danielson. Danielson says it is great to be alive when his World Title Eliminator Tournament opponnent Dustin Rhodes shows up. Dustin says he has never won a world heavyweight championship and that tonight is a special night for him, then says he will get back up every time Danielson kicks him and hit him right in the face. He tells Danielson that he is bringing his A-game and expects Danielson to do the same, then leaves. Danielson says that nobody has to ask him to do that, because he always does it.
