Of course, this would happen.
Earlier today, during a company-wide town hall meeting at WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, R-Truth had even worse than luck than he did in Saudi Arabia. After he was spotted by somebody, R-Truth - thinking that his reign as WWE 24/7 Champion was in danger once again - ran away only to run into yet another wall, both figuratively and literally.
In a weird twist of fate, a WWE employee pinned R-Truth to win the championship! Michael Giaccio - WWE's Digital Project Executive/Content Manager - became the first man to win the title. He wasn't able to celebrate for long, as R-Truth got back up and chased him to the back for the title.
I have so many questions. Does referee John Cone always walk around in a referee's shirt? How did R-Truth not kick out? Was he knocked out for that long? And more importantly, who was ringing the bell and where was the bell at? Did anybody expect the 24/7 Championship to change hands in any way so whatsoever at this town hall meeting?
There's no telling what's going to happen to the WWE 24/7 Championship from here, so...stay tuned!
