Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for September 23, 2026

Backstage, we hear from The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona). Ricochet says Swerve Strickland and The New Level (Kofi and "Awesome" Austin Creed) make up what is wrong with AEW, stating that they were suddenly thrown together into a trio. He says he saw the future and brotherhood in Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona and that they will become the World Trios Champions. Bishop Kaun says Swerve and The New Level are "not a real trio," and Toa Liona says they will be doing them a favor when The Demand puts them down. We then hear from Swerve Strickland, The New Level and Prince Nana. Prince Nana reminds Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona that he was the one who bring him into AEW, and says that Swerve and The New Level will take The Demand out. Creed says that they have revenge in mind tonight and will be leaving as champions tonight, then gets up to speed with what happened between Swerve and team of Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun. Kofi says that they will move on to All Out, then gets up to speed with Swerve's history with Bandido and "Hangman" Adam Page. Creed then asks if Swerve had any friends before The New Level showed up, and Swerve is awkwardly silent before his music hits.

Swerve Strickland and The New Level (Kofi and "Awesome" Austin Creed) retain the AEW World Trios Championships against The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona) in a trios match. After the match, "Hangman" Adam Page and Brodido (Brody King and Bandido) show up, and Hangman congratulate Swerve and The New Level on becoming Trios Champions, saying that the titles feel important in their hands and that he is glad they are here. He then says that Swerve has no idea who he is really dealing with, then wants to know what Swerve is. Creed says he is teaming with the greatest team in professional wrestling and making sure the Trios titles are the most prestigious in professional wrestling. Creed says Swerve is a changed man, and Kofi says that Swerve has been "nothing but cool." Brody King says it has only been three weeks, and Hangman says Swerve will show his true colors given enough time. Swerve says that Hangman has been abandoned by other trios before and that he will abandon Brodido, too, as Hangman showed his true colors in Chicago and he is no better than him. Brody King says that at All Out, both teams will represent the trios division as it was meant to be, and they will see if three weeks was long enough to keep the titles. Bandido says the Trios titles are the most wanted and that they belong to Hangman and Brodido.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews "Speedball" Mike Bailey, Will Ospreay and Francesco Akira. Ospreay says not many men would throw themselves into the line of fire against The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC, Daniel Garcia, "The Problem" Marina Shafir), and while he and Speedball have history, Speedball made the save for Francesco Akira, and would like for him to join his version of United Empire. Speedball says that Ospreay is the kind of man he would stand next to, then says he will team up with him tonight, joining Ospreay's United Empire in the process. Ospreay has to stop Akira from saying something not fit for international broadcast again.

Backstage, we hear from "The Toxic Spider" Thekla, who says that inside everyone, there are two bitches: a dumb bitch who is full of love, happiness, kindness and dancing, and a true bitch who is violent. Thekla then says she will have a good time tonight, because "Thekla is for the children," then says she will be "all nice" until Saturday, when she becomes "all toxic."

Jon Moxley beats Dezmond Xavier by submission with a modified rear choke in an AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Darby Allin and Steven Borden, who are soon met by Adam Copeland. Copeland says that Christian Cage is sitting this one out so things do not get volatile, then says that he things greatly of both men and thinks Borden has potential. Copeland says that while Borden has the potential to be massive, he is one-half of the World Tag Team Champions that he wants to challenge and that he is reaching for legends now, and also reminds Darby that he is going to be climbing two mountains if that happens. Darby says he has a lot he wants to say to Copeland, then accepts his challenge. Copeland tells Darby to be careful what he wishes for.

The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) head to the ring. They are soon joined by FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) and Stokely Hathaway as well as the team of Adam Copeland and Christian Cage. Stokely says they are only here so that they do not get fined by Tony Khan, then tells Copeland to "Wrap this shit up; we got things to do." Matt Jackson compares FTR to The Dudley Boyz, and Nick says they had multiple chances to be the tag team champions, then admits this may be their last chance. He says that if it is, The Young Bucks will fight like hell to be the first four-time tag team champions. Christian says that this will be their last opportunity and that he and Copeland will stay one-time tag team champions because they are generational, then says he looks forward to meeting The Young Bucks' mother like he did FTR's mothers. Copeland takes the microphone away from Christian, saying he has issues, then says that the other two teams are disregarding the legends standing before them and that they have been in so many TLC matches that they can do nothing to him and Christian. Matt says that everything Copeland said would be true if it were 1999, and the last time Copeland leapt off something high, he crippled himself for almost a year. This soon starts a brawl between all three teams when Harwood tries to lighten the mood. Security had to show up and get involved before things get worse, but they all get laid out. Christian and Copeland is the last team standing, and one security guard gets the Con-Chair-To.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Willow Nightingale. Willow says her left hand is doing better, then says that she and Mercedes Moné are 2-2 and she wants to settle the score, even if that means getting through "The Toxic Spider" Thekla. She tells Thekla that she beat her last time, but now, she has been a world champion, which makes her more dangerous this time around. Willow tells Thekla that she will see her Saturday.

Don Callis guests on commentary for the next match.

Tommaso Ciampa beats Jake Doyle. After the match, Ciampa says this is as much for Don Callis as much as it is for "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada. Callis backs off before Ciampa tells Okada that they do not have to wait until All Out to do this. Okada shows up in a suit and tells Ciampa that while he asked for him, he has bad news for him: he will not get him tonight, then says they will both get what they want at All Out, and he will prove that Ciampa is not on his level. Ciampa says that if Okada thinks he is scared of him, he has another thing coming, as he will get a version of "The Psycho Killer" that nobody has ever seen before, and he will expose Okada and take the International title.

Persephone retains the TBS Championship against Hyan after using the bottom rope for leverage as the referee makes the count from outside of the ring, being unable to see what is going on in the process.

Will Ospreay and "Speedball" Mike Bailey beat The Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli and Gabe Kidd). After the match, Ospreay says that he is grateful for the fans, and says that because of them, AEW is here today, and he is honored to be its World Champion. He then says that for as long as AEW has been alive, so has Jon Moxley. Ospreay thanks Moxley for his guidance, for being "the ace," and for breaking him, and for that, he is the man he is today. He says that the one thing that will stick with him out of all the things he learned for Moxley is that the AEW World Championship is what it is all about, and this time, Moxley is the challenge while he is the champion. Moxley gets in the ring and asks Ospreay if he feels like a champion standing across the ring from him. Gabe Kidd tries to attack Ospreay from behind, but Ospreay sees it coming. Kidd nearly strikes Moxley, and Ospreay takes Kidd down before saying he does.

Rebel Heart - Dynamite recap for September 9, 2026

In Memoriam: "The Butcher" Andy Williams, 1977 - 2026.

It's time for The Waiting Room. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. tells Rebel (while still calling her "Reba") that her strength has inspired everyone, then brings out Persephone. Persephone thanks Britt, then says that Thunder Rosa is holding a CMLL title hostage and that she will drag her, Hyan and Maya World to the underworld before Britt introduces Hikaru Shida. Hikaru Shida says that she used to hate Britt and Rebel, but now she hates Thunder Rosa even more, and that it is time that they brought their dungeon back. Britt Baker says that Thunder Rosa will be overshadowed and embarrassed all over again. As Britt, Shida and Persephone leave, Rebel notes that Britt forgot her glove.

Swerve Strickland and The New Level (Kofi and "Awesome" Austin Creed) retain the AEW World Tag Team Championships against The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong). After the match, The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona) and The Lethal Twist (Jay Lethal, "Vanilla Baby" Blake Christian, "Big Shotty" Lee Johnson) show up, with Ricochet disappointed that they had trouble with a trio they already beat and that they could easily beat them for the AEW World Trios Championships. He also notes that Bishop Kaun's shoulders were not all the way down when they lost the title and that The New Level are only champions because they are friends with Swerve before deciding that The Demand and The Swirl will get rid of them themselves. All of a sudden, "Hangman" Adam Page and Brodido (Brody King and Bandido) show up and even the numbers game, and The Demand and The Swirl back off. Hangman and Brodido personally hand the Trios titles back to Swerve and The New Level.

We hear from Steven Borden and Darby Allin. Steven Borden says "Why now?" before saying it is because of fear, as he has been in his father's shadow his whole life. He says that night ignited something out of him that he had run from his entire life, and that he called Darby Allin after realizing he could either keep running away or face it head-on. Darby says people think Borden is not ready, but he knows what Borden is capable of, saying that he is "the first Steven Borden" and not the next Sting.

AEW acknowledges the passing of Andy Williams aka The Butcher.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews The Don Callis Family (Don Callis, "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander, Mark Davis, "The Protostar" Kyle Fletcher, "The Jet" Kevin Knight). Josh Alexander says Steven Borden has something to prove, but so does he, as he has been on the shelf for over five months, and Mark Davis says that he and Alexander will decimate Darby Allin and Borden. Don Callis says there is nothing like a well-oiled tag team working like a family, and Fletcher says that he and Knight worked well together. Knight says The Young Bucks may be the best of all time, but they have never faced them. Kazuchika Okada shows up and says he is glad that Fletcher finally sees the value in family as Fletcher and Knight leave.

Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., Hikaru Shida and Persephone beat Hyan, Maya World and Thunder Rosa in a trios match. During the match, Rebel shows up and brings the glove to Britt, who then makes Hyan to the Lockjaw. After the match, Britt rides off with Rebel in Rebel's wheelchair.

We see a video package for AEW Together regarding the fight against ALS.

Andrade el Idolo retains the AEW National Championship against The Beast Mortos. After the match, Andrade says he will continue to defend the AEW National Championship every week, and that while The Beast Mortos is a good wrestler, he is not good enough to beat him. Andrade is then suddenly attacked by The Dogs (Gabe Kidd, Clark Connors, David Finlay), and Gabe Kidd says that The Dogs are always one step ahead of Andrade. Kidd clocks Andrade just before Will Ospreay shows up and fights The Dogs single-handedly, clearing the ring. Jon Moxley and "The Problem" Marina Shafir show up just before The Dogs can get back in the ring, and Moxley guests on commentary for the next match as Gabe Kidd leaves and Andrade el Idolo forces Clark Connors to the back.

Will Ospreay beats David Finlay in an AEW World Championship Eliminator Match.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews "Hangman" Adam Page and Brodido (Brody King and Bandido). Brody King wants to know if Hangman is still in the hunt for the World Trios Championships, and Hangman says that while he did not anticipate it at first, he needed it, and he still does. He says that the three of them are still a trio. Brodido agrees, saying the titles belong to them, then the three of them leave for some drinks.

Darby Allin and Steven Borden beat The Don Callis Family ("The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander and Mark Davis).

"The Toxic Spider" Thekla shows up on the stage. Thekla says she does not need a championship for a celebration and that the party follows her wherever she goes, and says that unlike Mercedes Moné, she did not grow up as a fangirl and was playing in a band in Vienna, Austria until she saw a man being beaten with a raw chicken carcass and thought she could do that, so she did it and did it better than everyone else. As Thekla hopes that the AEW Women's World Championship still tastes like sex, drugs and rock 'n roll, Mercedes shows up in the crowd and says that Thekla can be as toxic as she wants, she cannot do it like her. Mercedes says that Thekla does not scare her, then tells Thekla to call her "Big D. Moné" and to ask Willow Nightingale how it tastes. Thekla calls Willow "the biggest dumb bitch and the worst Women's World Champion in AEW history" and says that Willow got lucky when she won her title only to fumble it at Wembley Stadium. She says that she would piss on Willow's clouds and rainbows if Willow were here, then Willow suddenly shows up and gets in the ring only for Thekla to leave it.

We hear from The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Daniel Garcia, PAC, "The Problem" Marina Shafir) and Gabe Kidd. PAC tells Moxley he always told he could not trust Will Ospreay, and Gabe Kidd is surprised that Moxley is showing Ospreay respect. Ospreay shows up, and Marina Shafir has to hold Gabe Kidd back before Moxley stands up and Ospreay tells him that he asked for their match because Moxley is the only person to pin him this year. He then warns Moxley that he is coming at him with a gameplan and that he knows what it takes to stop a Death Rider. Moxley says Ospreay has it all figured out, and Ospreay tells Moxley he will see him in Chicago, Illinois.

Actor, screenwriter and director Arian Moayed is seen in the front row before the next match.

The Don Callis Family ("The Protostar" Kyle Fletcher and "The Jet" Kevin Knight) beat The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) in a tag team tables match after FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) and Big Stoke stop Nick Jackson before he can put Kyle Fletcher through a table with a top rope splash, allowing Fletcher to put Nick through the table with an avalanche brainbuster for the win. After the match, FTR and Knight attack Nick Jackson. Matt Jackson jumps in, but he falls victim to the Shatter Machine. Darby Allin and Steven Borden run to the ring before FTR can put Matt Jackson through a table. The show ends with The Young Bucks shaking hands with Darby Allin and Steven Borden.

Will Ospreay heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Ospreay apologizes for his rough appearance following a post-championship win bender before thanking the fans from those who have been there since the beginning from the ones who followed him since his AEW debut. He then addresses Kenny Omega, saying that they both took each other to the limit and that he had to keep fighting because he wanted the AEW World Championship. He says that Omega has been the best in the world for the last ten years and still is. Ospreay says that 364 days out of the year, Omega is a better wrestler than him, but it took one day for him to become champion. He then mentions that he and Omega have two wins apiece. Ospreay says he wanted Omega to recognize him as an equal, and he is fine with that tie, but if Omega is not satisfied, then he can name the time and place and they can sort this once and for all. Ospreay thinks about past AEW World Champions and how so many of them are his heroes, then announces that he is among them and that he has worked for this, stating that his heroes are now his rivals. He admits that he has struggled to say that he is the guy, but now that he is AEW World Champion, he is the standard, "the billy goat" and the best in the world now. Ospreay says that anyone who wants to take the title from him will have to walk through the same fire he did and see him at the end of the line. Ospreay thanks his teammates in United Empire (Henare, Francesco Akira, Callum Newman), then says that while United Empire will stay in Japan, he will start creating his own opportunities in AEW and create his own United Empire in the United States. The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona) suddenly show up with Ricochet interrupting, and Ricochet says Ospreay knows just as well as he does that they have unfinished business and acknowledges that Ospreay's match at All In was magic. Ricochet says that no one knows Ospreay like he does and that Ospreay would not be in the main event of All In without him, then demands the first opportunity at the AEW World Championship. Clark Connors and Gabe Kidd suddenly show up and interrupt, with Gabe Kidd saying that Ospreay has taken his chance and that it is nothing compared to what he will take from Ospreay and his family. Ricochet says he will get the first opportunity at the title, but Gabe Kidd says he wants Ospreay's life, and that he does not mind doing it five-on-one. United Empire shows up from behind Ospreay to match the numbers. Ospreay says they can go at it right now in their street clothes, or they can have an eight-man tag match in their gear for tonight's main event.

Swerve Strickland and The New Level (Kofi and "Awesome" Austin Creed) retain the AEW World Trios Championships against The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz, Dezmond Xavier, Myron Reed). After the match, The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) show up and congratulate The New Level as both teams have a brief staredown before The Young Bucks head to the ring.

The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) are in the ring after the commercial break. Matt addresses what happened at All In and asks Adam Copeland and Christian Cage if they had to beat them the way that they did and if they are happy with themselves and satisfied with how they did it, then want Copeland and Christian to answer to their faces. Instead of Copeland and Christian, FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) and Stokely Hathaway show up instead, and Stokely says that he cannot believe what he is hearing and that only two people matter in this ring: FTR. Stokely says The Young Bucks blew it at Revolution, blew it at All In and now want to blow it for a third time, then Dax says that "Daddy's home" and that The Young Bucks had their chance and lost again in front of friends and family. He says that FTR have beaten both The Young Bucks and the team of Copeland and Christians, then tells them to step aside so they can become five-time tag team champions. Nick says they have beaten FTR too, but have also made them say "I quit." Christian and Copeland arrive on the stage, and Christian says "They don't ask how you won; they ask who won." He reveals that his wrist and forearm were never hurt, and that they have both beaten FTR and The Young Bucks and stayed tag team champions. He is amazed that they are not so embarrassed that they would take a 50% pay cut and go somewhere else than be embarrassed by them again, then Copeland says that he is not pleased with how they won and says they are better than that. Christian says there is a way to make it right and entitles The Young Bucks as well as FTR to a tag team title rematch at All Out in a three-way Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Will Ospreay and United Empire (Henare, Francesco Akira, Callum Newman). Ospreay says there is no heat and that is time to move on, yet he has not found a fifth man. Callum Empire says he knows a guy who has been in the Empire for some time now: Andrade el Idolo. Andrade el Idolo comes out from behind a nearby door and congratulates Ospreay after saying "How you know?" and shaking hands with everyone else.

Darby Allin retains the TNT Championship against Mark Davis. After the match, Trent Beretta and Rocky "Azucar" Romero attack Darby. Steven Borden gets in the ring and makes quick work of both men, then stares down Mark Davis. Davis teases getting in the ring, then Borden is attacked from behind by a returning Josh Alexander. "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander puts Darby in an ankle lock, and Mark Davis hits Borden with a piledriver.

In backstage footage from All In, MJF says he had to win the Men's Casino Gauntlet Match to prove that he is the undisputed "One True Champion" and that he is in this position because of Will Ospreay. He says that Ospreay is what is wrong with his life, and if anybody else in AEW got screwed the way that he did, the match would have been tossed out. MJF says nobody likes him because he is a cold dose of reality nobody wants to deal with. He says that thinking of him is thinking of the other wrestlers that are on his level and that it makes people mad that he is the biggest needle mover in AEW and that there is nobody more important in AEW than him. MJF says payback is coming and that payback is a bitch, and that nobody will see it coming, and that by the time he finally does hand off some payback, everyone will be begging for it.

Megan Bayne beats Alex Windsor. During the match, Jamie Hayter stops Lena Kross from using one of the AEW Women's World Tag Team Championship, and the referee fails to see Megan Bayne do the same and hit Alex Windsor with one of them. This allows Bayne to hit Windsor with the Megabomb for the win. After the match, The Divine Dominion (Bayne and Kross) briefly attack Windsor before Hayter chases them out of the ring.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Chris Jericho, who mentions "The Prodigy" Nick Wayne getting pinned before Nick Wayne shows up, confronts Jericho and says he not only owning the ring, but taking Jericho out of the Men's Casino Gauntlet. Jericho is impressed with Nick Wayne's talent for his age, but says he is still only 21 years old. Jericho insults Nick Wayne's necklace, and this starts a brawl that ends with Nick Wayne kicking Jericho in the groin.

Mercedes Moné heads to the ring for her AEW Women's World Championship champion's celebration. Mercedes thanks the fans and says she has not stopped smiling since All In, and says that she wanted and needed to be in AEW because it was the only place where the women's revolution could be globalized, and now, she is AEW Women's World Champion. She says that she took a bet on herself and says that this is what happens when you stop asking permission to be great. Mercedes says she has travelled the world and won championship after championship to become great on her own terms. Mercedes announces that she is the first woman to win world championship in four major companies, and says that to get here, she needed to leave one thing behind: Willow Nightingale. She says she showed everyone who Willow Nightingale truly is at All In, and mentions that Willow Nightingale ruined her face. She thought that Willow was trying to stop her from her destiny, but she really pushed her towards it. Mercedes then mockingly thanks Willow, saying that she is the one smiling now after having taken Willow's smile and Willow's title and that the women's division is now standing in her kingdom. She says that this is her moment, then says that what she wants for the AEW Women's World Championship does not exist yet before stating that it soon will now that she is champion. Mercedes is suddenly interrupted by "The Toxic Spider" Thekla, who shows up in the crowd with her own tequila while impressed with Mercedes' promo. She congratulates Mercedes, then says that for all Mercedes has done, she has never been "toxic." She thanks Mercedes for what she did to Willow Nightingale, saying that Willow deserved to be humiliated, then notes that Mercedes like to swing the Women's World Championship between her legs and that "nobody swings it bigger than Thekla." Thekla also states that since she has been gone, Mercedes has been calling people "dumb bitches," and says that the only thing she hates more than dumb bitches is dumb bitches calling other people dumb bitches. She also says that even though Mercedes is CEO, she does not work for her. Thekla then raises a tequila toast to Mercedes, then tells Mercedes to let her know when she is ready to give her the Women's World Championship back.

We hear from Persephone and Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. Britt Baker says she is here for a guarantee and that Persephone has a killer instinct to do whatever it takes to take what is hers. Britt says she has gone where no other champion has been before and that Persephone will take the TBS Championship where it has never been before. Persephone says that they did not need each other, but together, they are eternal and have no Achilles' heel. She says that she did everyone a favor and stole the gold Sunday night, and that on Saturday, she will defend the TBS Championship on Collision.

Jon Moxley beats AR Foxx in an AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Don Callis, "The Protostar" Kyle Fletcher and "The Jet" Kevin Knight. Knight says he will not be demeaned on national television, then brings up how Fletcher lost his match. Callis has to get both men to stop arguing, saying that will they have individual setbacks, he has a new plan to create some cohesion: putting Fletcher and Knight in a tag team match against The Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson and Ace Austin) on Collision, much to the chagrin of both Fletcher and Knight. A grinning "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada shows up, saying "Family, Kyle...family," then walks off as Fletcher gets angry with him.

Will Ospreay, Andrade el Idolo and United Empire (Callum Newman, Henare, Francesco Akira) beat The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona) and The Dogs (Gabe Kidd and Clark Connors) in a ten-man tag match. After the match, Andrade and Ospreay shake hands, then Gabe Kidd pulls Andrade out of the ring, starting a post-match brawl between the two teams that security cannot stop. Gabe Kidd hits Will Ospreay with a low blow, then The Death Riders show up. Moxley stops Kidd from using the chair not once, but twice, and Andrade takes out Gabe Kidd and chases him through the crowd. Moxley then stares Ospreay down before handing him the AEW World Championship before placing his hand on Ospreay's neck. It is then revealed that Ospreay will defend the AEW World Championship against Moxley at All Out. Both Moxley and Ospreay are shocked at this turn of events as the show ends.
