Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews The Bloodline (Jimmy Uso, "Main Event" Jey Uso, Jacob Fatu). Jimmy says that everybody thinks they are not on the same page before firing warning shots at LA Knight, Solo Sikoa and Royce Keys, and Jey says that they will not only get the win tonight, but they will get it tomorrow night.
Byron Saxton briefly interviews "All Ego" Ethan Page, who says that he looks forward to the Intercontinental Championship match to see who will win it and then have the privilege of losing it to him, then promises that this will be the last SummerSlam where he is not on the card.
We see footage of CM Punk working out with Big E.
Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque. He says that having been in Hell in a Cell many times, he would not be liked to be locked in with Brock Lesnar or Oba Femi, and says that Hell in a Cell will be a brutal, violent match as both men tear it up and do whatever it takes to win. Triple H says that just about anybody can steal the night tonight or tomorrow night.

UFC lightweight fighter Michael Chandler, musician Zac brown, designer Kendra Scott, the hosts of the Busted Open radio show are seen in the crowd.
Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Lainey Reid) beat Paige and The Bella Twins (Brie and Nikki Bella) in a six-woman tag match after Jacy Jayne hits Paige with the Rolling Encore. After the match, The Bella Twins turn on Paige, with Nikki attacking Paige and hitting her with the Rack Attack 2.0.
Before the next match, we see a Street Fighter II-esque title screen and character select screen for SummerSlam where "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes is selected. Cody then rises from underneath the stage with a Guile-themed skull mask as Guile's theme plays.
CM Punk retains the Undisputed WWE Championship against "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes after Cody inadvertently hits referee Charles Robinson with a Super Cody Cutter meant for Punk, allowing Randy Orton to suddenly return and hit Cody with an RKO.
Oba Femi beats Brock Lesnar in a Hell in a Cell match after taking a Tombstone Piledriver on exposed ring boards, punching a chair out of Lesnar's hands and hitting the Fall from Grace. After the match, Lesnar hugs Oba and raises his hand in good sportsmanship, then grabs a microphone and declares Oba Femi the future of WWE and himself the past.
Dustin Starr interviews K-Toomer at the announce desk to start today's show. K-Toomer says that lately, he has been pissed off, as he talked legacy, history and opportunity and was not getting opportunity, and how he created an opportunity for everyone else. He says that his mission is to make everyone care about the Big Mane Fight Championship as if it were a legitimate championship, and to that, he has to keep dropping body after body. He then throws out an open challenge.
K-Toomer retains the BMF Championship against Big Nico by referee stoppage with a sleeper hold after striking Big Nico into near-unconsciousness.
We hear from Mike Anthony, who asks Tim Bosby who died and made him king so he could demand a stipulation after everything that he had done recently. Anthony then says he has his own stipulation, then replaces the Heritage Championship with an identical title with a white strap instead of a black one. We then find out from Dustin Starr that Mike Anthony wants a lumberjack match.
Dustin Starr interviews "Action" Mike Jackson at the announce desk. Mike Jackson talks about how he came to Memphis in 1974 and beat Tommy Gilbert for championship gold in the Mid-South Coliseum when "The Gold Standard" Eli Knox and Moses show up and interrupt. Eli Knox calls Mike Jackson "a washed up old man" and says the Junior Heritage title should be called "the Senior Heritage title" before giving him a chance to hand him the title and leave. He says that has taken on some of the best and that Eli's name is not among them, and while he respects a lot of guys, he does not respect Eli. Mike hopes Eli's butt is as big as mouth when he beats him in the ring.
"Action" Mike Jackson retains the Memphis Wrestling Junior Heritage Championship against "The Gold Standard" Eli Knox after whipping Eli Knox into Moses, knocking Moses off the apron.
Backstage, Xya thanks Gigi Turner for having her back. Gigi tells Xya to keep an eye on the gold, and Xya notes they are thinking the same thing before mentioning that they are in tag team action next week.
Dustin Starr interviews The Hollywood Clique ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Jay Smooth, Secret Service). Jimmy Blaylock says getting rid of Kale was "the best thing ever," then introduces a special guest who has done more in nineteen years than anyone else ever: his son, Jay Blaylock. Jay says he does not like how Dustin and the fans have treated his father, then says he is putting his foot down on Dustin and the fans and demands his father be given respect. As Jimmy Blaylock says he has the Hollywood Cup with him, he finds out that the cup - now officially called the Cobra Cup again - is missing from Jay Smooth. Suddenly, someone in a black hoodie shows up with the Cup, and it is none other than Kale, who leaves through the fan entrance.
We see footage of Marko Stunt vs. Gran Metalik for the Arkansas Travelers Championship at Arkansas Travelers' Wrestling Night.
Dustin Starr interviews Big John Dalton at the announce desk. He mentions Memphis Wrestling's partnership with St. Jude's Children Hospital for Tupelo Throwdown IV, then brings out Big Daddy. He says that he is on a hot streak and that he and his father is doing great before VaShawn Harvey interrupts. VaShawn says he and the people in the back are using his father to gain sympathy from the fans, then says that WrestleCenter is a place of business and a place for the strong. Big John Dalton reminds VaShawn that he recently lost to Marko Harris, but VaShawn says he has been a champion while Big John Dalton only won gold because of K-Toomer and Buff Bagwell. He then says that he feels bad for Big Daddy, since he is going to die knowing his son is a failure. Big John punches VaShawn in the jaw, and referees have to get involved before things get worse.
We hear from Matchmaker King Cobra. He announces that next week's Heritage Championship match between Tim Bosby and Mike Anthony will be two-out-of-three falls and a have a lumberjack match for the second fall, and in case of a third fall, the third fall will be in a submission match.
Marko "Hangtime" Harris retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against "Livewire" Bobby Ford. Before the match begins, "The King of Pow" Chris Lexx shows up and tells the referee to check Bobby Ford, and the referee finds a chain in Bobby Ford's boot.
The Northern Armory (Judas Icarus and Travis Williams) beat Jake Painter and Brett Ryan Gosselin.

Harley Hudson and Myla Grace beat Rosemary and Lena Kross after Kross inadvertently knocks Rosemary off the ring apron.
John Cena heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Before he can utter a word, "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes shows up and heads to the ring. Cena tells Cody that he did not listen to him last week, assaulted him, forged his signature and forced him into one of the most dangerous matches in WWE on one of its biggest stages for its biggest championship, and for that, he says "Thank you." He says that this was "the boot in the ass" that he needed, as he has forged a legacy out of honestly, loyalty and respect, and that he flushed it down the toilet five months ago over someone's idea of "shock TV." He says that people on his team left and that they left him alone as he pretended to be something that he was not, then states that he wants to leave with the WWE Championship and take it home with him, not to ruin wrestling, but to not be forgotten. Cena says he was so hung up on how he would be seen tomorrow that he did not focus on how he acted today, and that Cody "did what a good friend should do" when he forced him into a fight. He says that this will be brutal and force him to be who he really is, and if he cannot suit up for war, he should not suit up for all, and declares that this is the day that he came back to WWE. Cena admits he does not know who will leave with the WWE Championship, but he knows the fans will win, because he is finally over his own B.S. because Cody gets to face him at his best in a match that he wanted. After telling Cody that he will be the only Platinum-winning rapper whipping his ass, Cena declares that "The champ is here!" to extreme fanfare from the fans. Cody asks for two beers from the timekeeper's table, then says "Welcome back, John Cena" before the two shake hands and have a beer together.
In backstage footage from earlier today, Logan Paul mocks Jelly Roll as he is practicing in a ring. Jelly Roll immediately challenging Logan Paul to a fight, and both men brawl. Drew McIntyre shows up in time for Logan Paul to hold Jelly Roll down for a Claymore Kick.
"The Rainmaker" actor PJ Byrne is seen in the crowd.
Giulia retains the WWE Women's United States Championship against Zelina Vega.
Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Solo Sikoa, Tala Tonga, Tama Tonga and JC Mateo. Solo Sikoa says he is only worried about his championship and his family, then says Jimmy Uso will get a big boot to his big mouth from Tala Tonga, as tonight is about sending a message.
Before the next match, Santos Escobar demands everyone stand up and show respect for the AAA World Tag Team Champions, Los Garza (Angel and Berto). He then issues an open challenge to any team who wants to be lucha royalty along with being tag team champions. The challenge is answered by Mr. Iguana and Psycho Clown.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interview Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre. McIntyre says they are saving what they have to say about their attack on Jelly Roll earlier today for the ring later tonight.
We see a video package of the SmackDown tag team division.
Damian Priest beats Aleister Black by disqualification after Aleister throws a metal folding chair into Priest's face. After the match, Aleister then hits Priest in the back with the chair before hitting him in the face with it. The referee takes the chair away, but that leads to Aleister throwing Priest into the ring steps multiple times by the back of his head. He then hits Priest with Black Mass, and assistance has to be called for Priest.
Backstage, Tiffany Stratton is met by Jade Cargill. Tiffany says she wanted Cargill at 100% at SummerSlam to make sure there were no excuses when she loses last week. Cargill says there will be no excuses and that she will finish what she started.
The Medina Family are the recipients of the Jimmy John's seat upgrade.
Talla Tonga beats Jimmy Uso after catching Jimmy out of the air for a choke slam while still on his back. After the match, Solo Sikoa sends out Tama Tonga and JC Mateo. They attack Jimmy Uso as Solo demands that the steel cage hanging above the ring be lowered. As Solo goes for a Samoan Spike on Jimmy, Jacob Fatu shows up and slides into the ring before the cage is fully lowered. Solo and Talla escape as JC and Tama fight Jacob only to be overpowered.
Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair. Charlotte admits she did not expect the two of them to be a tag team, but Alexa has had her back even if she is "super annoying." Alexa finds this statement bizarre, but says Charlotte hasn't been "half bad."
Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre head to the ring. Logan says that he and McIntyre are just trying to protect WWE from outsiders and that the fans do not know what it means to compete at SummerSlam. He says that Jelly Roll thought SummerSlam was "a hot dog eating contest." He says that he and McIntyre are tired of outsiders making a name for themselves while using WWE as a stepping stone, then tells Jelly Roll that he is an outsider, not a wrestler, and he learned today that he is a country star, not a Superstar, and that he will never belong here.McIntyre says that whatever happens to "Smelly Hole" tomorrow will be on Randy Orton, then says that "you talk to God when you need a favor" and that he has God on speed dial, and when he prays, bad things happen. All of a sudden, Jelly Roll shows up at the arena, but so does Randy Orton. General Manager Nick Aldis tries to talk Orton and Jelly Roll out of this, but they head to the ring and brawl with Logan and McIntyre. Security shows up, and Logan and McIntyre are sent tumbling out of the ring. Three security guards stand in front of Orton and Jelly Roll, and two of them eat an RKO before the third one gets choke slammed by Jelly Roll to end the show.
The Rascalz (Trey Miguel, Zachary Wentz, Wes Lee) beat KUSHIDA and Speedball Mountain ("Speedball" Mike Bailey and Trent Seven) in a six-man tag match.
We hear from Jordynne Grace, who says that while Ash by Elegance is a terrible person, she has put in the work for getting a title shot. She says that Ash will never get her moment while she is champion, and she will continue to defend her title against anyone and everyone. Jordynne then issues another open challenge for her title next week.
Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Campaign Singh, who is on the phone with Mustafa Ali. He says it is not his fault what happened at Slammiversary, then tells him he is loyal to the campaign and is told about his credibility. He then tells Gia that Mustafa will be walking out as World Champion, and states he will be proving his loyalty to him and his campaign and prove his credibility.
Rosemary beats Kristara as George Iceman and Ash by Elegance watch backstage in disgust, and almost keeps attacking Kristara after the match before stopping herself. After the match, Rosemary takes a bag into the ring and pulls out a black rose, then places it on Kristara.
Backstage, Alisha Edwards says The System (Eddie Edwards, Alisha Edwards, Brian Myers, Moose, JDC) is "the dream team of wrestling." Eddie agrees, saying that things happen and that it is time for "a system reboot." Myers says they are still the best and that the comeback is much greater than the setback. JDC says he has taken bullets for The System and will still do it, as he wants to be in The System and trusts The System. Moose says the biggest part of them was taken at Slammiversary, and that they will not rest until they wreak havoc in TNA Wrestling and get everyone to trust The System.
Backstage, we hear from Mike Santana, who says that when one does wrong, it comes back to bite them. He says the cracks are starting to show in The System (Eddie Edwards, Alisha Edwards, Brian Myers, Moose, JDC), and after he is done with them, the Devil always comes to collect. He does not want them to forget, as he has not, and he has unfinished business with them. Suddenly, Campaign Singh shows up to prove his credibility against Mike Santana, and formally challenges him to a match later tonight. Santana smells Singh, then tells him to go talk to Director of Authority Santino Marella and make it happen.
"The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander is introduced with his entrance theme playing, but Josh Alexander refuses to show up. Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Josh Alexander, who says he is the greatest Canadian professional wrestler on the planet and that Toronto is the best city in Canada, then says he owes nobody an explanation and believes in himself. He says he has carried the company for far too long and made it so that "The Wanted Man" Nic Nemeth and Joe Hendry can make a name for themselves here, then says that he owes nobody anything and has no further reason to explain himself. Ryan Nemeth checks on Gia on the way to the ring for the next match.
Frankie Kazarian beats "The Hollywood Hunk" Ryan Nemeth. After the match, "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander shows up, walks past Kazarian, gets in the ring, grabs Ryan Nemeth and hits him with the C4 Spike.
It is announced that at Emergence on August 30th, there will be an Ultimate X Match.
Jody Threat beats Masha Slamovich after Dani Luna boots Alisha Edwards in the face and Jody drop toe holds Masha into a turnbuckle with a Knockouts Tag Team Championship wrapped around it by Alisha.
We hear from Joe Hendry, who says that his rise to the top is nothing but trendy, and says that without the fans' support, this would never have happened. He asks the fans for the continued support despite the setbacks he has suffered recently in TNA and NXT, and says that he will keep getting back up because the fans believe in him. He dreams of becoming TNA World Champion and knows he can do it because of the fans.
Mike Santana beats Campaign Singh. After the match, Mike Santana tells Moose that he has not forgotten about him, and while Moose is a smart man for putting a hit on him after all he has done, he has made him want the TNA World Heavyweight Championship even more and he will become champion. He then says that before he gets there, he tells Moose that he will make him suffer and put his boot on The System's (Eddie Edwards, Alisha Edwards, Brian Myers, Moose, JDC) necks, and he will not stop until they beg him to stop. Mike Santana then makes it clear that he wants Moose's head.
"The Wanted Man" Nic Nemeth retains the TNA World Championship against Mustafa Ali. After the match, "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander shows up on the stage, and walks away when Nic Nemeth notices him.
It is time for the wedding of PCO and Steph de Lander. Director of Authority Santino Marella is in charge of the proceedings, while Rhino is best man and Xia Brookside is the maid of honor. PCO arrives - and is brought to life - first, followed by Steph de Lander, who is accompanied by Destro. Steph says her vows, and PCO simply yells his. Rings are exchanged, with PCO using his brother-in-law's ring and ring finger. Before they can finally tie the know, Fir$t Cla$$ (AJ Francis and Rich Swann) shows up and objects to the wedding...almost. Francis says that he and PCO had an instant classic at Slammiversary, then says they are here because PCO earned his respect and that he and Swann want to "watch the freak show get their freak on." Santino declares PCO and Steph "Monster and Bride," and declares "You may now French kiss the bride." Before PCO and Steph can kiss, Matt Cardona suddenly shows up. Cardona smacks PCO with his wedding present, which is really a piece of a cinder block, then declares the TNA Digital Media Championship and the Canadian International Heavyweight Championship his. Cardona then tries to make Steph leave with him, but Steph chews him out, saying that this was her moment and her wedding. Cardona wants to know what Steph is doing, saying it was not supposed to be this way.

Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo are attacked by Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgang) outside of the building at the start of the show.
Before the next match, Jacy Jayne makes it known to Vic Joseph and Booker T that she is going to finish what she started with Lyra Valkyria, and that this time, there will be nobody to pull her off of Lyra. Lyra and Jacy then brawl on the stage before the match starts.
Lyra Valkyria beats Jacy Jayne.
Backstage, Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams talk about Hayes' successful title defense against Ilja Dragunov, then Trick says "I gotta start doin' this for me," and that he needs to prove he is no sidekick and that he has to show Dragunov what he is made of. Trick says this is no break-up and that he has to be his own man, to which Carmelo agrees.
Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks' Lorenzo. Tony says that Gallus are "dead man walking" and that he wants Gallus in a match tonight, and Stacks says it will be three against two. D'Angelo tells Stacks to "make the call."
Rhea Ripley and "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio head to the ring. Rhea says that Dominik is more of a man than Wes Lee, Mustafa Ali and all of the fans, and Dominik says that makes him the greatest luchador that ever lived. Suddenly, Dragon Lee shows up. Dragon Lee says he will not take the disrespect any longer and that he, the fans and even Dominik himself do not believe Dominik's claims, as Rey is the greatest of all time. Dominik says he made the Mysterio name and that he is still champion, but Dragon Lee says he is only champion because of Rhea, who has "[his] cojones on her purse." Rhea says Dom's cojones are bigger than Dragon Lee's, and Dragon Lee tells Dom to prove it with the title on the line next week. Dominik accepts the challenge. Rhea then says that wherever Dominik goes, she also goes, and Dragon Lee reveals that he will have Rey Mysterio in his corner when Rey appears on the TitanTron and announces that he will be in Dragon Lee's corner.
Backstage, Carmelo Hayes is met by an angry Wes Lee, who says that he has lost three weeks in a row while Carmelo is on top of the world as he scrapes by. Carmelo says he is still feeling the effects of his match with Dragunov and that Wes Lee does not know what it takes to hold the NXT Championship. As Wes Lee says that he begs to differ, then Noam Dar and Oro Mensah show up and Noam declares himself Heritage Cup Champion. Noam says that Nathan Frazer never beat him, but Dominik Mysterio beat Wes Lee twice. This leads to a brawl that referees quickly break up.
Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Thea Hail. Thea says she left it all in the ring and that she did not give up, and insists that Andre Chase did not have to throw in the towel. Baron Corbin shows up and tells Andre Chase to apologize for destroying Thea's hopes and reams, then tells Thea that wrestling is not for everyone and that she peaked on Sunday and should pack her things and go. Andre Chase confronts Baron Corbin, who then tells Chase to tighten up his dress pants and do something about it.
Dijak beats Eddy Thorpe.
Backstage, Tony D'Angelo makes a phone call which goes to his satisfaction, then tells Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo "He's on his way."
Backstage, Dana Brooke and Kelani Jordan watch Dana's match with Cora Jade from last week. Dana says Cora brought a dark side out of her, and Kelani says the fans needed to see that side. Dana admits she liked that after all the negative comments and all the directions her career has went, then tells Kelani to find her killer instinct and call someone out, because she will need a killer instinct.
Elektra Lopez and Lola Vice beat Valeninta Feroz and Yulisa Leon.
We see a TikTok video from Tiffany Stratton, who announces that she will return next week and that whatever she does then will be fabulous.
The Meta-Four (Noam Dar and Oro Mensah) beat Carmelo Hayes and Wes Lee after Wes Lee nails Carmelo Hayes with a Cardiac Kick meant for Noam Dar. After the match, Wes Lee argues with Carmelo Hayes.
We hear from Bron Breakker, who says that he has watched Von Wagner's story for the last couple of weeks and calls it "touching stuff," then tells Von Wagner that he is a nobody just like his father and that he is soft. He then says that if Von Wagner doesn't like what he is saying, he can come find him, and if Von Wagner thinks the photo of himself as a child with stitches around his head was bad, then what he will do to him will be even worse.
Backstage, Rhea Ripley and "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio are confronted by Axiom, who says that he cannot wait until next week to see Dragon Lee beat Dominik when Mustafa Ali butts in to confront Dominik. Rhea and Dominik leave, and when Axiom refuses to take the disrespect, Mustafa Ali tells him that he has been disrespected for six years and that the North American title is his.
Baron Corbin beats Andre Chase after Thea Hail throws the towel as Corbin has Chase in a single leg crab only for Corbin to throw the towel back out.
We see footage of Roxanne Perez's return home to Texas where Roxanne meets with her family and goes to DreamCon (and has a confrontation with Blair Davenport), gets advice from Booker T and wins her Weapons Wild Match.
Backstage, Meta-Four celebrate when Lash Legend reminds everyone of the importance of their win. Tyler Bate then shows up and talks his way into a match for Noam Dar's Heritage Cup Championship.
The Schism (Joe Gacy, Rip Fowler, Jagger Reid, Ava) is in the ring with their followers. Joe Gacy says that while conflict within new members is not uncommon, but disobedience and insubordination is not tolerated and will not be eliminated, and that two of their masked members have went against them. Two of the members unmask and leave, while the third man unmasks to reveal himself as Ikemen Jiro. Rip Fowler dismisses a fourth member, and thinks the last two members are The Creed Brothers only to find out they are not. We then see The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) on vacation, who laugh at Schism and tell them that they are no longer in NXT and are having the time of their lives before thanking Schism for the vacation. An angry Joe Gacy says he knows The Creed Brothers are here, and tells his followers to bring The Creed Brothers to The Schism.
Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo's mystery partner shows up at the arena.
In backstage footage form last week, Cora Jade packs her bags in the locker room and leaves.

The D'Angelo Family (Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo) and Santos Escobar beat Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgang) in a six-man tag match.
We hear from Ilja Dragunov, who says that Trick Williams is the sole reason he is not NXT Champion, and if Trick is not done with him, he is not done with Trick, and next week, his retribution begins and he will not stop until Trick is entirely terminated.
Becky Lynch shows up with a cast around her right arm to start tonight's show. She says that in everything she does, she gives it her all, and she has talked about hitting rock bottom and losing her identity after losing the championship, but after SummerSlam, she remembers who she is. She says it is not in the fancy clothes or the constant need for glory, but for the pursuit to be better today than she was yesterday. Becky then says that when she separated her shoulder at SummerSlam, she could either give up or give her all. Becky gave her all for 25 "painful" minutes in which she realized that she was separated from reality, and she realized that it is possible to create the greatest women's division ever. When she lost, she had given her best, yet her best was not good enough. She then says she defines the match and that the match does not define her, that she defines the title, and that she defines "The Man" and not the other way around. Becky says that a new era starts now, but not before she thanks Bianca Belair - who has pushed her every week for the past year - and asks her to come to the ring. Bianca shows up and says that Becky has not only defined "The Man," but she is "The Man." The two of them shake hands and hug. Becky tells Bianca that she will see her soon, then leaves. Bianca says she has nothing but respect for Becky Lynch, even if she has not forgotten how she shook her hand only to smack her with the other. She says the Raw Women's title is worth the work put in, and Becky made the work worth it. She says there is a level of mutual respect between Becky Lynch and to make that happen is worth something, and that she has learned so much from Becky and is still standing as Raw Women's Champion. Bianca says she stays ready so she does not have to get ready, but as she speaks, it is revealed that Iyo Sky, Bayley and Dakota Kai are attacking Becky Lynch's hurt arm backstage. Bianca runs backstage and checks on Becky along with officials after Iyo, Dakota and Bayley run away.

In a Twitter video from earlier today, Logan Paul announces that we have not seen the last of him in WWE and that the next time he is in a WWE ring, it will be massive.
"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles beats Mustafa Ali and The Miz in a Triple Threat Match after grabbing Ali out of a successful top rope 450 Splash to hit Styles Clash on Ali on The Miz to continue to tonight's match to determine a #1 contender for the WWE United States Championship.
As Becky Lynch is in the trainer's room, Sarah Schreiber interviews Dakota Kai, Bayley and Iyo Sky. Bayley says it is about them, not Bianca Belair or Becky Lynch. They then run into The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso), and Sarah Schreiber interviews them as well. Jimmy and Jey celebrate their and Roman Reigns' SummerSlam victories, then say they will beat Rey and Dominik Mysterio tonight.
Seth "Freakin'" Rollins heads to the ring. He says that he is the host for tonight and that tonight is a night of celebration now that nobody has to hear Matt Riddle ever again. Rollins says it takes a lot of guts to do what Riddle did, but there is a thin line between courage and stupidity and Riddle kept crossing it. Rollins then says that the silver lining to all this is that Riddle is on the shelf with a career-threatening injury like Randy Orton after wanting to be like Randy Orton, and with Riddle out of the picture, he can focus on Roman Reigns. Suddenly, The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) show up, but Rollins wants none of it and says he does not want to shair air space with "the biggest losers in WWE." He also says that The Street Profits should break up after failing as a tag team, then tells them to go back to the back. Dawkins reminds Rollins that they beat him to become tag team champions, and Montez mentions Rollins' Hell In A Cell loss to "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes. Rollins tells them to split up and take him on some other time, but The Street Profits entertain the idea of having one of them beat him and Dawkins brings out a referee so they can play a game of rock-paper-scissors. As they are about to play, Montez Ford grabs the ref and runs off to the ring with him, then narrowly avoids The Stomp. This starts a match.
Seth "Freakin'" Rollins beats Montez Ford. After the match, Seth Rollins goes for The Stomp, but Angelo Dawkins gets in the ring and Rollins retreats.
Alexa Bliss vs. Asuka ends with Bayley, Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai attacking both competitors. As Dakota Kai brings a chair into the ring, Bianca Belair runs into the ring, and Bayley, Iyo and Dakota run away. Bianca then says she wants a match with one of them tonight.
Before the next match, Chad Gable says Houston, Texas has a problem and that the problem comes in the form of himself, who has a brain twice the size of Texas. Edge heads to the ring. He says that for the last few months, he has been "a bit of an asshole," but that changes now that he and the fans both get what they want. Edge says he created The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley) to help some talent reach their full potential, and that they were just getting started until the first taste of power clouded their judgment. He admits that The Judgment Day put one over on him and put him on the shelf for months, but he has pulled himself out of the hell that they put him in and it is time to kill what he created. Edge says he will end The Judgment Day.
Backstage, Kevin Patrick interviews Rey and Dominik Mysterio. Rey says that The Judgment Day has no idea what a savage can be, and mentions his tag team title reign with Edge and that he cannot thank Edge enough for helping them get the win Saturday. He then says that the focus is now becoming the undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions.
Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Bayley, Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai. Bayley says that everyone is talking about them, and says that WWE has been on a downward spiral since she was gone. Bayley says she took it as a cry for help and took it upon herself to recruit two people who really needed an opportunity. Dakota says they know how to play the game, and Bayley says they know what they want and that is not long before they are in control. Iyo tells Bianca Belair she will see her in the ring.
Bianca Belair vs. Iyo Sky ends in a no contest. During the match, Bayley and Dakota Kai show up and distract Bayley, but Asuka and Alexa Bliss show up to even the numbers game, which restores order. When Alexa stops Iyo Sky from using the ropes for leverage on a pinfall attempt, this leads to a six-woman brawl. Officials have to run into the ring to restore order.
Backstage, Kevin Patrick interviews The Miz and Tommaso Ciampa. The Miz says that he was cheated at SummerSlam and that he had Logan Paul, and that WWE is not a playground for an entitled YouTuber to cash a few paychecks. He also blames AJ Styles on their loss. Ciampa says that Styles chose the wrong side at SummerSlam, and says he used to respect his path to the WWE and his accomplishment, but Styles choses to side with an influencer who made a mockery of their home. He says that beating Styles tonight will be all the more satisfying, and Miz says that Ciampa will be the next elite Superstar under his tutelage.

Tommaso Ciampa beats "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles to become #1 contender for the WWE United States Championship with help from The Miz, who puts Ciampa's foot on the bottom rope following a Styles Clash and later trying to keep Styles from getting out of the timekeeper's area.
Backstage, Kevin Patrick interviews Bobby Lashley. Lashley says he would not have it any other way and that he will defend the United States title every week if he has to, and that Tommaso Ciampa has proven that he is hungry. However, he will beat anyone, anywhere at any time to bring respect back to the title. He says that he brought a reality check to Austin Theory and that he has no problem bringing down Tommaso Ciampa.
We see the aftermath of Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns at SummerSlam, where Brock Lesnar stands in the tilted wrestling ring and tips his cowboy hat to the Nashville, Tennessee crowd.
The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) retain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships against Rey and Dominik Mysterio after countering a 619 from Dominik Mysterio with the 1D. After the match, The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley) jump the barricade and attack Rey and Dominik, but Edge shows up and fights off Damian and Finn Balor. Edge goes for a Spear on Finn Balor, but Rhea Ripley pushes Dominik into Edge's way, knocking Finn Balor to the side and forcing Dominik to take the Spear. Edge then chases Finn Balor through the crowd. Medical staff check on Dominik as the show ends.

It is announced that as per Antonio Cueto, Pentagon Dark and Cage will be competing in tag team action for tonight's main event, and that each man will be picking their own tag team partners.
Daga beats "The Darewolf" PJ Black with a cruficix-wristlock combination. After the match, Kobra Moon calls for Dragon and Vibora, then all four of them stomp PJ Black. As Vibora goes for a Tombstone Piledriver, Johnny Mundo and Taya run in to make the save for PJ Black. Ricky Mundo shows up a little too late, and runs backwards in Vibora. He slaps Vibora in the chest, but Vibora headbutts him. PJ Black gets some Kendo sticks, then hits Vibora with them before Mundo and Black take one Kendo stick each and whack Vibora out of the ring. Afterwards, the Reptile Tribe (Kobra Moon, Drago, Vibora, Daga) retreats, and Kobra Moon tells Johnny Mundo that the Reptile Tribe is in his future and that he must either accept or perish. Johnny Mundo tells Kobra Moon that if she wants her so badly, all she has to do is head to the ring and take her. Kobra Moon then decrees that next week, The Reptile Tribe will fight The Worldwide Underground (Johnny Mundo, Taya, Jack Evans, PJ Black, Ricky Mundo) four-on-four, and when they win, Mundo will pledge allegiance to her and he will bow to her for the rest of her days. Mundo asks what happens if The Worldwide Underground wins, then they can grant any wish his heart desires. Kobra Moon then warns Mundo that The Reptile Tribe will not lose. Mundo says next week, both teams win something: Mundo gets his wish while The Reptile Tribe wins a first-class ticket to Slamtown. Kobra Moon tells Mundo to enjoy his freedom, for next week, Mundo is hers.
In the locker room, The Mack gets ready for a match when Catrina shows up and tells him that he crossed Mil Muertes, who will not forget or relent and will come after him. The Mack tells Catrina to tell Mil Muertes to back off before he drops him on his head. Catrina then tells The Mack that death swirls around him and to breathe it in, for his cousin certainly did. She then punches a locker open, and inside is the skull of Big Ryck (who has not been seen since Season 1) complete with a cigar and an eye patch.
El Dragon Azteca Jr. is in the ring. He says last week may have been the most difficult fight of his career, but it led to one of his proudest moments in his career: winning the Gift of the Gods Championship, which guarantees him a title match for the Lucha Underground Championship, which he plans to win. He goes on to say that he would be dishonoring his ancestors and his mask if he does not fight and win the title, as his tribe, the Eagle Tribe, was the most legendary of all seven Aztec tribes. He wants the name of El Dragon Azteca, Jr. to become part of that legacy. While it is a long way off until Ultima Lucha, he will defend the title against anyone who thinks they can take it from him until then, and he will not back down from any fight. He says the only way he will take off the belt is when he exchanges it for a title shot at the Lucha Underground Championship at Ultima Lucha Cuatro, and says that this one is for the fans.
The Mack, Killshot and Son of Havoc retain the Lucha Underground Trios Championships against The Rabbit Tribe (Paul London, Saltador, Mala Suerte), though it is still apparent after the match that Killshot is on less than good terms with The Mack and Son of Havoc.
Before the next match, Cage says that when Antonio Cueto told him he could ;ick his own partner for the next match, he knew he had to be a cold-blooded killer, and that man is King Cuerno. When Pentagon Jr. shows up, he reminds King Cuerno that he is in his temple and that he does not need anyone. He says he can take both men on himself, and tonight, his sacred temple will bear witness to how he will break both of them in half.
Cage and King Cuerno beat Pentagon Jr. in a tag team match turned two-on-one handicap match after Cage dismisses King Cuerno from the match before hitting the Drill Claw for the win. After the match, Cage pulls some steel chairs out from underneath the ring, then lays Pentagon Dark's head on top of one steel chair before smacking another one into the back of his head. After doing this a second time, Cage lifts up the Lucha Underground Championship in one of the corners of the ring.
Somewhere in the desert, Johnny Mundo and Taya find what is supposedly the lair of the Reptile Tribe (Kobra Moon, Drago, Vibora, Daga) in a scene that looks like something out of an Indiana Jones movie. They find the golden throne, but they also find Drago and Vibora. vibora superkicks Taya, and while Johnny Mundo throws a few punches, Vibora catches a punch and headbutts him before putting him in a sleeper hold. Johnny's eyes are about to roll into the back of his head when Taya comes to, grabs a baseball bat and smacks it into the back of Vibora's leg and kicking Vibora in the back of the head. Johnny and Taya kiss before cutting Vibora's head off with a sword.Johnny and Taya leave, then Johnny Mundo tells Drago that they were never hear. Drago roars upon seeing Vibora's decapitated head, and the show ends.
Heavy Machinery (Tucker Knight and Otis Dozovich) beat The Mighty (Nick Miller and Shane Thorne) after Street Profits' (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) entrance hits and they show up in the crowd, distracting The Mighty.
Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate and Trent Seven) beat Matt Knotts and Brandon Taylor. After the match, Trent Seven says they are back at Full Sail University, and the last time Moustache Mountain, things did not turn out quite well. He apologizes to Tyler Bate and the fans. He says that he has spoken to General Manager William Regal, and they have a plan. Tyler Bate says The Undisputed Era not only went for their tag team titles, but they also tried to tear them apart. He says that Trent Seven's well-being matters to him, and now Moustache Mountain are on a mission to take back the NXT tag team titles. They are invoking their rematch clause at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV.
Ethan Carter III beats "The Finest" Kona Reeves. During the match, Velveteen Dream shows up and says there is someone in the building who still cannot get over NXT's recent trip to the United Kingdom, and if EC3 wants to talk about it, they can do that, but he has to enter "The Dream's World." If he is lucky, he may be able to bask in the experience. After he leaves, Reeves hits the Hawaiian Drop, but EC3 kicks out, and hits Reeves with the One Percenter as Reeves trash talks him while he is down.
Backstage, EC3 asks what kind of man would turn down The Velveteen Dream's invitation. He will join him for a conversation, but it will turn into a fight for he is the best here, there and everywhere and he is EC3.
"The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler beats Candice LeRae with the Kirafuda Clutch. After the match, Baszler puts LeRae in the Kirafuda Clutch again, and two referees show up to break the hold. Suddenly, Kairi Sane runs into the ring and confronts Baszler, but the referees hold her back. Baszler pretends to leave the ring, but goes back in and boots Kairi Sane as she checks on Candice LeRae. Kairi goes after Baszler, but once again, she is held back by the referees.
Outside Full Sail University, Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate and Trent Seven) says they don't need any tricks to beat The Undisputed Era, as they will take the NXT tag team titles again. Suddenly, War Raiders (Hanson and Rowe) show up. They say that they made it clear that it doesn't matter who has the titles after NXT TakeOver, as they will take out the champions as well as anyone who gets in their way.
General Manager William Regal announces that EC3 will face Velveteen Dream at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV, and that Adam Cole will also defend the NXT North American Championship at the event against Ricochet.

Tommaso Ciampa shows up. Tommaso Ciampa pretends the NXT Championship is telling him that he deserves it, and says it deserves them and that they make a great couple before saying this is his NXT now. He says that all that he needed one moment, and he is a man of his word. He tells the fans to take a deep breath, but all they do is tell him to "shut the hell up." Ciampa then says he looks so good with the NXT Championship, and says nobody has deserved it like he did. He tells the fans to take a deep breath and enjoy it, for this is what it is like when NXT's most dangerous man takes his place at the head of the table. The fans repeatedly chant "No!" He then approaches an elderly woman that he remembers seeing in the front and tells her that he is her NXT Champion. He then gets back in the ring and, as the fans chant "You're an asshole!", says that the icing on the cake is that he not only beat Aleister Black, but Johnny Gargano once again proved that he is a failure and that Gargano loses and he wins. The crowd alternates between "Johnny Wrestling" and "Johnny sucks!" chants as Ciampa says Gargano and Aleister are two of the top talents in the world, but he is the one that ended Gargano's fairy tale with his hands cuffed and put the final nail in the coffin of Aleister's mystique. He says Aleister and Gargano can bicker over who is better all they want, but there is no dispute that he is so much better than whoever is #2 and that he is untouchable. He says that now that he is NXT Champion, NXT is now the A-show and he is the greatest sports entertainer of all time. He then sits in the middle of the ring like Aleister Black in the middle of the ring until Aleister shows up. Aleister walks to the ring, but Gargano all heads to the ring faster than Aleister is walking and overpowers Ciampa, who then escapes over the barricade. Gargano says NXT does not belong to Ciampa while he is still breathing, and that Ciampa is only NXT Champion because of him. As Gargano continues to repeat that last statement, Aleister nearly kicks Gargano's head off and knocks him down. The crowd chants "You deserve it!" to Gargano. Aleister then takes the microphone and tells Gargano that Ciampa is indeed NXT Champion because of him before leaving.
Before the next match, The Brian Kendrick says "Gentleman" Jack Gallagher is nothing more than a clown, and tonight, the time for talk is over. He will end the charade, rid 205 Live of Gallagher and send him back to the circus.
The Brian Kendrick vs. "Gentleman" Jack Gallagher ends when an aggressive Gallagher beats the living crap out of Brian Kendrick.
Rich Swann and Mustafa Ali are playing WWE 2K17 when TJP shows up and makes fun of Swann. Ali leaves. Swann thinks TJP is obsessed with being better than him. TJP says he thought he'd be cool with friendly competition. Swann says TJP is hung up on him winning, and has a way of handling this: a match in the ring next week. TJP is okay with this, then challenges Swann to a match in the video game.
Before the next match, "The Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese says there is a bit of a misunderstanding. He says he is what a premiere athlete looks like, and if you want to be a successful athlete, you'll have to look like him. He says his physique is why his team won the main event last week, and says he has the body of a winner. He tells everyone to keep that in mind when they see Gran Metalik, as he is covered from head to toe because he looks like everyone here.

Dasha Fuentes interviews Neville. He says Akira Tozawa and Titus Worldwide have been a thorn in his side for too long, and that Tozawa has come back like an infection. Ariya Daivari, on the other hand, made a fatal error in not respecting him last week. Neville does not care who wins tonight, as the winner faces humiliation at SummerSlam when they are forced to bend the knee.
Before the next match, Ariya Daivari dedicates tonight's match - which his higher stakes than anyone can comprehend - to the 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist in freestyle wrestling, Rasoul Khadem. Akira Tozawa beats Ariya Daivari to face Neville at SummerSlam for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.
AJ Styles retains the WWE United States Championship against Kevin Owens by reversing the pop-up powerbomb into a Victory Roll despite the referee getting hit in the face by Kevin Owens. Owens has at least one shoulder up as he tries to escape from the roll-up, but the referee does not see it and Styles retains. After the match, a member of medical checks on the referee and helps him to the back. Owens is livid.
General Manager Daniel Bryan and Commissioner Shane McMahon are talking to the referee from the match from earlier, telling him he made a bad call and should have called for another referee. Suddenly, an irate Kevin Owens shows up and yells at Shane, Daniel Bryan and the ref, and says that the referee made a bad call as one of his shoulders was up. Shane agrees, and gives Owens a rematch against AJ Styles for the WWE United States Championship at SummerSlam. Owens says that he wants a referee who has two good eyes and isn't made out of glass, and Daniel Bryan tells him he has one for him: Shane. Owens says Shane is "incompetent" and "the worst one here," but Shane says that if he is not the referee, Owens doesn't get his rematch. Owens ends up relenting, and Shane tells him to go cool off somewhere. Owens shoves a bunch of things and leaves.
The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) show up. They mock The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) and brag about how they beat them up on their way to the ring last week, and tell The New Day to "stay in their lane."
It's time for Fashion Peaks. Tyler Breeze looks at the clues. He wants to know who trashed their office and where Fandango is. Suddenly, the lights go out and Fandango suddenly shows up. The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor) show up with him, and pour maple syrup on a log. The three of them, and Breeze keeps yelling "No more metaphors!" Suddenly, Breeze wakes up in his office and notice it was a dream. He suddenly figures out who kidnapped Fandango.
Aiden English beats Sami Zayn, then Mike and Maria Kanellis show up. They make it known that they love each other and that they love the fact that Sami Zayn lost.
Becky Lynch and Naomi beat Natalya and Carmella with a Slayomission to Carmella, after Naomi escapes the Sharpshooter and reverses the Code of Silence.
Renee Young interviews Jinder Mahal, who says that he does not care who wins between John Cena and "The King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura as he will retain the WWE Championship at SummerSlam. He says he will be watching the match from his personal skybox. Jinder then says that everywhere he goes, he sees xenophobia, but the xenophobia only makes him stronger and prouder. He says that people will have no choice but to bow at his feet, for he is the Modern Day Maharaja and nobody will stop his WWE Championship reign.
Rusev beats Chad Gable with the Accolade. After the match, Rusev says that ever since he came to SmackDown Live, he was promised competition and an opponent worthy of being in the ring with him. He says that while John Cena waved his flag at Battleground, Cena still did not beat him. He then says he has no SummerSlam opponent, because everyone is afraid. Rusev gets it in the form of Randy Orton, who suddenly shows up. Orton walks around the ring and then grabs a microphone. He tells Rusev that if he was him, he wouldn't want him to get in the ring, either. Orton then gets in the ring, and tells Rusev that if he is looking for an opponent for SummerSlam, then he should look no further as he is here. Rusev then speaks whole sentences in Bulgarian, then he tries to fight him only to get hit with an RKO.
Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers (Samir and Sunil Singh) are seen watching the next match from the skybox.

"The King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura beats John Cena to become the #1 contender for the WWE Championship and face Jinder Mahal for the title at SummerSlam. Cena raises Nakamura's hand after the match.
In continued coverage exclusive to the WWE Network, Baron Corbin attacks "The King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura from behind until John Cena goes after Corbin. Corbin hits Cena with a heavy right and breaks down the announce table, but when he readies the steel steps to put Cena through the table, Cena lifts Corbin up for an Attitude Adjustment and puts Corbin through the table instead. Cena and Nakamura stare down briefly, then Cene raises Nakamura's hand again.
Earlier today in a WWE.com exclusive, Tom Phillips interviewed The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods). They are facing The Club (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson), but only two of them can be in the ring. The New Day say that they'll figure something out.
Earlier today in a WWE.com exclusive, Corey Grave interviewed Sasha Banks. She calls her title win a dream come true. Sasha says she Facetimed Bayley after she won the Women's title because Bayley has supported her since day one and gave it her all against her in NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn and NXT TakeOver: Respect. She says that the Women's title win has made all the hard work and sacrifice worth it. As for her title rematch against Charlotte at SummerSlam, Sasha says that all she needed was the opportunity, and she knows she can beat Charlotte again.
During the pre-show, Darren Young and Titus O'Neil talk backstage. They talk about going their separate ways and their match against each other tonight, and both say they're going to give it their all tongiht. Titus then says he likes the "Make Darren Young Great Again" idea, but then asks when Darren Young was great to begin with. Titus walks away, and it's clear that Darren Young didn't like the sound of that.
Sasha Banks shows up to start tonight's show. It is announced she will be defending the WWE Women's Championship in a rematch against Charlotte at SummerSlam. The crowd chants "You deserve it!" Sasha thanks the fans, then talks about how she stole - and owned - the show with Bayley at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, and says that this year won't be any different at SummerSlam when she defends the WWE Women's Championship against Charlotte. Charlotte shows up, and the crowd chants "You tapped out!" Charlotte says there was a fly, and after Sasha Banks mocks her, Charlotte says she doesn't need Dana Brooke or "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair to beat her at SummerSlam, and calls Sasha "a one-night stand." Sasha tells Charlotte she's the daughter of Ric Flair, and says that she probably is the product of a one-night stand. All of a sudden, Chris Jericho shows up wanting quiet, then says Sasha Banks is disrespecting the royalty that is Charlotte, says that Charlotte has already done more than Ric Flair has, then mocks the "Boss" moniker of Sasha Banks, saying she's really a brat and not a boss. Enzo Amore shows up and kisses Sasha's boss ring, then says he usually comes out with Big Cass, but three's a crowd and he likes to busines by himself sometimes. After kissing up to Sasha Banks, Jericho and Charlotte mock Enzo (with the latter mocking Enzo's love life, saying there's only one word to describe it), then Jericho tells Enzo to watch "it" after Enzo roasts him. Enzo says "it" is his life, then makes fun of Jericho's scarf. Jericho then says he doesn't care how anyone is doing, then General Manager Mick Foley shows up and says he cares how the WWE Universe is doing, that Foley is Jericho's (and everybody in the ring's) boss, that Enzo is a certified G and he's a certified GM, plugs Enzo's guest appearance on Holy Foley (premiering after SummerSlam on the WWE Network), says Sasha Banks set the bar high and that he can't wait to see her and Charlotte in the ring again. He then pits Jericho and Charlotte in a mixed tag team match against Sasha Banks and Enzo Amore...and that match happens next.

Chris Jericho and Charlotte beat Enzo Amore and Sasha Banks after Dana Brooke shows up and distracts Sasha and Sasha breaks a pinfall to slap Jericho. After the match, Jericho hits a Codebreaker on Enzo, which earns him the wrath of Big Cass, who chases Jericho out of the ring before he checks on Enzo.
The Bella Twins (Brie and Nikki Bella) were at the Teen Choice Awards last night, where they won the Choice Female Athlete of the Year award.
Braun Strowman's opponent for tonight, Evan Anderholm, is here tonight for the money. He gets $1,000 tonight, but he gets $5,000 if he wins.
Braun Strowman quickly beats Evan Anderholm. (Evan Anderholm is better known as Corey Hollis, who has previously appeared on NXT.)
Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and General Manager Mick Foley are in the back. Stephanie congratulates Mick Foley on the mixed tag team match, then Mark Henry shows up and says it time to re-open the Hall of Pain. Stephanie says she and Foley brought him to Raw to be a mentor, but Mark Henry still has some competitive juices flowing. Mick Foley has an idea: Mark Henry in a match against Rusev for the WWE United States Championship. Mark Henry is all for it.

Michael Cole interviews Finn Balor in the ring. Finn says the last few weeks have been unbelievable, and he knew he had to make an impact. He is suddenly interrupted by Seth Rollins, who takes the microphone from Michael Cole and tells Cole he's got this. Rollins compares Balor to a bad Hollywood remake, as Rollins was the first to do things that Balor ended up doing, but Finn tells Seth that he'll be the first Universal Champion. Rollins says that NXT wouldn't be where it is without Finn Balor, then tells the crowd that the Atlanta Braves suck when everyone does the tomahawk. He then tells Finn Balor that around here, he's the man, but Balor says that everywhere he went, he's met someone who said that they're the man just like Rollins, and he turned around and beat them and took their spot. Rollins tells Finn he has no idea who he's dealing with. Finn tells Rollins that he earned his opportunity, while Rollins has always had his opportunities handed to him. Rollins tells Finn he will beat him and have the WWE Universal Championship handed to him at SummerSlam, but Finn says that the only thing Rollins will have handed to him at SummerSlam is his ass. Rollins tries to fight Finn, but Finn quickly overpowers Rollins, causing him to retreat.
Rusev retains the WWE United States Championship against Mark Henry with the Accolade. After the match, Rusev mocks Mark Henry and says America wins the Olympics only because they're rigged, and says no American will take the United States title from him because he is a super-athlete and a natural-born winner. All of a sudden, Roman Reigns appears, gets in the ring and stares down Rusev. Rusev attacks Roman, but Roman comes out on top in the short ensuing brawl.
Titus O'Neil beats Darren Young after reversing the Gut Check, rolling up Darren Young with a schoolboy pin and grabbing the tights.
Commissioner Stephanie McMahon hands General Manager Mick Foley his very own tablet when Sheamus shows up, wanting an opportunity. Cesaro also shows up and starts arguing with Sheamus. Mick Foley tells Cesaro that he was a big-name draft pick until his shoulder turned him into a "big question mark," and tells him to prove himself so he can overcome his "question mark" status. Foley then puts Sheamus and Cesaro in a match against each other, and whoever impresses them more will be in line for a future opportunity on the Raw brand.
Bob Backlund confronts Titus O'Neil backstage for pulling the tights to win earlier tonight, and Titus telll Backlund to shut up or he'll "knock [his] old ass out." Titus is then attacked from behind by Darren Young, putting their friendship to an end.
Nia Jax quickly beats Ariel Monroe. After the match, Byron Saxton interviews Nia Jax, and when he asks how it feels to be in a WWE ring, Nia Jax attacks Ariel Monroe again, then tells Byron to ask Monroe how it feels.
Tom Phillips interviews Sami Zayn. Sami Zayn says that Seth Rollins has a big mouth just like Kevin Owens, and if Seth has something to prove, he has something to prove...and he's going to prove it tonight.
Backstage, The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) pull fruit out of a paper bag. Kofi and Big E get an orange, but Woods gets a banana. Woods does not like the fact that he pulled a banana out of a paper bag.
Before the next match, The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) says that they were attacked by Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, but the complaint was filed against them, and now only two members of The New Day can be in the ring. The New Day played a game called "Bag of Fruit", where the person who gets the unlucky fruit - in this case, a banana - will not be at ringside. In this case, it is Xavier Woods. Also, The New Day almost make a phallic image on live worldwide television with two oranges and a banana.
The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) get a surprise victory on The Club - now known as Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) - with a schoolboy on Anderson from Big E. After the match, Gallows & Anderson go on a vicious attack, and when Xavier Woods rushes back into the ring, he fares no better than Kofi and Big E, and Big E gets the worst of it.
Big E is tended to in the trainer's room.
Cesaro beats Sheamus.
As security holds back Sheamus and Cesaro (the two brawled during the break), Heath Slater is in the ring along with Jinder Mahal, who has not been seen in WWE in over two years. General Manager Mick Foley shows up and starts a "battle of the bands" where the two men compete against each other. Slater is reluctant, but Foley says the Raw roster is stacked and there is only one position left. Jinder Mahal takes advantage of the situation, nearly kicks Slater's head off, and beats Heath Slater to become an official part of the Raw roster.
Tom Phillips interviews Chris Jericho. Jericho says Enzo Amore is the marked man, not him, for disrespecting Charlotte and making fun of how he looks. Jericho says that Enzo has Big Cass to have someone watch his back, but Jericho has someone to watch is back. That someone, originally identified as "Jimin Marvenleuder," is Kevin Owens.
Seth Rollins beats Sami Zayn.

Paul Heyman is in the ring. He introduces Brock Lesnar into the ring, then says that Lesnar will entertain everyone at SummerSlam and destroy Randy Orton. He says that Lesnar is not here to put his stamp of approval on the new era, and says the new era needs to step up to him, not the other way around. He says Lesnar is not here to court favor with anybody in either the Raw or SmackDown locker room, either. Randy Orton may be one RKO away from putting Brock Lesnar away, but Heyman says that Brock Lesnar will beat his ass at SummerSlam and drag Orton down to Suplex City. When Heyman says that Orton will never hit Lesnar with an RKO, we both figuratively and literally see Randy Orton hit Brock Lesnar with an RKO out of nowhere. Lesnar flees through the crowd, and both Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and General Manager Mick Foley show up to try to get Orton out of the building.
Roderick Strong tells Jay Lethal that nothing was settled after a 60-minute time limit draw at Death Before Dishonor XIII. He demands Nigel McGuinness make a rematch between the two them where the ROH World Championship is on the line again.
The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) beat War Machine (Hansen and Rowe) after Nick Jackson injures his ankle and AJ Styles has to sub for him. AJ Styles knocks down the referee, seemingly unintentionally, and it is revealed that Nick Jackson was faking his injury.
Adam Cole has no idea where he's at in Ring of Honor after last week's actions. He says there is no dissension between him and The Kingdom (Maria Kanellis, Matt Taven, Michael Bennett). Him and Kyle O'Reilly have a long-standing respect between themselves, and he plans to keep that respect intact tonight.

Cedric Alexander beats The Romantic Touch. After the match, Veda Scott says she would not lie to Cedric, and commands him to remove The Romantic Touch's mask. Caprice Coleman rushes in to stop Cedric, but Cedric pushes him away. Moose rushes in, and Cedric flees.
Jay Lethal tells Roderick Strong to go back to the end of the line if he wants another shot at his World championship, and Truth Martini tells all comers that The House of Truth (Lethal, Martini, J Diesel, Donovan Dijak) is Ring of Honor.
Tonight on Inside ROH, we get a closer look at Kyle O'Reilly.

Kyle O'Reilly vs. Adam Cole comes to an end when "The Almighty" Christopher Daniels attacks Cole in retaliation for Cole attacking him. Both O'Reilly and Cole fight off both Daniels and Frankie Kazarian, who rushes in to even the odds. The Addiction (Daniels and Kazarian) flee, then Cole tells them that both The Kingdom (Cole, Maria Kanellis, Matt Taven, Michael Bennett) and reDRagon (O'Reilly and Bobby Fish) are sick of their crap, and challenge them to a tag team match where Future Shock (Cole and O'Reilly) reunite for one night only. The Addition accept the challenge.
Future Shock (Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly) beat The Addiction ("The Almighty" Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian). Chris Sabin adds to the numbers game, but Bobby Fish shows up to even the odds. As The Addiction and Chris Sabin retreat, reDRagon (Fish, O'Reilly) and Adam Cole are in the ring while The Kingdom (Maria Kanellis, Matt Taven, Michael Bennett) stand at the ramp.
Jojo is interviews Becky Lynch backstage when Brie Bella shows up and expresses her excitement at being Becky Lynch's first singles opponent, as it will be an opportunity to show that Team Bella (Brie, Nikki Bella, Alicia Fox) is the brand to beat. Becky tells her she's only interested in one Bella, and that while she's asked Paige and Charlotte to stay in the back, she tells Brie to bring her friends with her if she's scared, as she can't wait to prove why they call her the Lass Kicker.
Jack Swagger beats Cesaro with the Patriot Lock. After the match, Rusev and Lana show up and challenge Swagger and Zeb Colter to a flag match. Swagger and Colter accept.
Randy Orton shows up. He has no issue with Lesnar taking on Cena for the WWE World title, but blames Roman Reigns for taking him out of the title picture and denying him his legitimate right at the belt. This is why he attacked Reigns on Raw on Monday. Orton dares Reigns to face him at SummerSlam.
R-Truth beats Bo Dallas by disqualification when Bo Dallas doesn't back R-Truth away from the ropes by the count of five. After the match, Bo Dallas says R-Truth got what was coming to him.
AJ Lee beats Rosa Mendes in seconds with the Black Widow. After the match, Paige pushes AJ Lee off the side of the top of the entrance ramp! AJ is hurt.
Dean Ambrose says that Kane can't stop him from getting his hands on Seth Rollins yet again.
Dean Ambrose vs. Kane and Seth Rollins ends when Ambrose blasts Kane with a steel chair. He gets Kane after the match, but Rollins retreats.
Renee Young interviews Chris Jericho. If Jericho can beat Erick Rowan tonight, Rowan will be banned from ringside during Jericho and Bray Wyatt's match against each other at SummerSlam.
Goldust wears a cowboy hat as Stardust talks about...something.
Diego beats Fandango thanks to the distraction by El Torito, Summer Rae and Layla.
The Miz guests on commentary for the next match.
Alberto Del Rio beats Dolph Ziggler after The Miz gets on the mic to distract Ziggler. Ziggler goes after him, but the damage is already done.
Brie Bella says that Stephanie McMahon will soon remember SummerSlam as the night that Brie embarassed her.
Bray Wyatt tells Chris Jericho that come SummerSlam, he will be the people's true savior.
Chris Jericho beats Erick Rowan. Erick Rowan is now banned from ringside during Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt at SummerSlam.
