205:Alive - 205 Live recap for August 1, 2017

Before the next match, The Brian Kendrick says "Gentleman" Jack Gallagher is nothing more than a clown, and tonight, the time for talk is over. He will end the charade, rid 205 Live of Gallagher and send him back to the circus.

The Brian Kendrick vs. "Gentleman" Jack Gallagher ends when an aggressive Gallagher beats the living crap out of Brian Kendrick.

Rich Swann and Mustafa Ali are playing WWE 2K17 when TJP shows up and makes fun of Swann. Ali leaves. Swann thinks TJP is obsessed with being better than him. TJP says he thought he'd be cool with friendly competition. Swann says TJP is hung up on him winning, and has a way of handling this: a match in the ring next week. TJP is okay with this, then challenges Swann to a match in the video game.

Before the next match, "The Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese says there is a bit of a misunderstanding. He says he is what a premiere athlete looks like, and if you want to be a successful athlete, you'll have to look like him. He says his physique is why his team won the main event last week, and says he has the body of a winner. He tells everyone to keep that in mind when they see Gran Metalik, as he is covered from head to toe because he looks like everyone here.

"The Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese beats Gran Metalik.

Dasha Fuentes interviews Neville. He says Akira Tozawa and Titus Worldwide have been a thorn in his side for too long, and that Tozawa has come back like an infection. Ariya Daivari, on the other hand, made a fatal error in not respecting him last week. Neville does not care who wins tonight, as the winner faces humiliation at SummerSlam when they are forced to bend the knee.

Before the next match, Ariya Daivari dedicates tonight's match - which his higher stakes than anyone can comprehend - to the 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist in freestyle wrestling, Rasoul Khadem. He says Tozawa and Neville fight for themselves, but he fights for the pride of a nation, and he will become the next WWE Cruiserweight Champion.

Akira Tozawa beats Ariya Daivari to face Neville at SummerSlam for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.
