Raw Deal - Raw recap for August 14, 2017

Dean Ambrose shows up to start tonight's show. After last week, he knows that people are wondering what's going on with him and Seth Rollins, and calls Seth out to explain himself and answer everyone's questions. Seth shows up. Dean wants to know what mind games Seth is playing, but Seth accuses Dean of doing the same. He says Dean is lying and knows he cares, and says that if they teamed together, they would run the place. Seth says he is done playing games, and extends his fist just like Dean did last week. Dean accuses Seth of making a fool out of him and says he can't trust him, but Seth says that sometimes he can't trust himself. Seth thinks this may never work due to their differences, but on the other hand, their differences were what made them unstoppable. In the end, Seth says that too much has happened, and believes that getting back together was a bad idea. Dean stops him and extends his fist, but Seth refuses. This leads to a shoving match and a brawl between Dean and Seth, and Sheamus and Cesaro rush in to take advantage by attacking both of them. Dean is tossed over the guardrail, and Sheamus and Cesaro then take the boots to Seth in the ring. Dean rushes over the guardrail and back into the ring, but the numbers game catches up even to them. Seth eventually returns the favor with a top rope cross body, and Dean and Seth clean house together. After a few brief moments, Dean and Seth bump fists and are allies again. General Manager Kurt Angle then shows up, and announces that at SummerSlam, Sheamus and Cesaro will defend the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships against Dean and Seth.

It is announced that "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair has recently undergone surgery, but he is still in serious condition.

Before the next match, Alexa Bliss sits on a tall silver chair at ringside to watch the next match from up high.

Sasha Banks beats Nia Jax with the Banks Statement to face Alexa Bliss for the WWE Raw Women's Championship at SummerSlam.

Backstage, General Manager Kurt Angle, talks with The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy). Suddenly, The Miztourage (The Miz, Maryse, Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas) shows up. The Miz wants to talk to Angle, wanting to know what Angle will do to make up for Brock Lesnar's attack on them on last week's Miz TV. Angle says that the match between Curtis Axel and Jason Jordan from last week will go on this week as planned, but The Miz wants to take matters into his own hands and face Jason Jordan himself, as he says that Angle is abusing his power as General Manager and says that Axel vs. Jordan is not going to happen. As The Miz confronts Angle, a referee shows up saying there is trouble backstage concerning Bray Wyatt and Finn Balor.

Bray Wyatt and Finn Balor are brawling backstage. They are quickly held back, and General Manager Kurt Angle shows up and says that since they don't want to wait until SummerSlam, their SummerSlam match is happening tonight.

Elias plays guitar and sings for the crowd, and bashes the site of Raw's current venue as he does. He is suddenly interrupted by R-Truth, and Elias attacks him as soon as he gets in the ring before hitting R-Truth with Drift Away.

Big Cass shows up. We see that the shark cage is in the center of the ring. He says - after many boos - that it will be him and Big Show at SummerSlam, and that Big Show will be bringing Enzo Amore with him. He says that Enzo is nobody without somebody going to bat for him when he angers people every single day. He mocks Enzo's skills on the microphone, saying that Enzo always has to be somebody's court jester and that Enzo always thinks he is funny. He also tells Big Show that there is a new seven-footer on the block and it's him. As for the match, he says that Big Show can't beat him without Enzo, and that Enzo will get nothing but a bird's eye view of the match at SummerSlam. As Cass says that he is the best big man in the game today, Enzo shows up. He mocks the fact that the crowd drowned him out minutes ago, and Cass replies by telling Enzo that if he has something to say to him, he should come to the ring and say it to his face. Enzo eventually brings out Big Show, who then gets in the ring with Big Cass only to be suddenly attacked from behind by Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson). The numbers game eventually catches up to Big Show in the ensuing brawl, and a leather strap is fastened to one of Big Show's wrist. Anderson pulls this wrist towards the entrance to the shark cage, then Big Cass slams the shark cage door on that wrist before all three men take the boots to it in an attempt to injure the wrist and make Big Show's knockout punch less effective.

Akira Tozawa beats Neville to become the WWE Cruiserweight Champion!

At the trainer's room, Big Show - whose wrist may be broken - tells Enzo Amore that he's fought bigger and has been hurt worse when Enzo shows concern for him, and it becomes apparent that his resolve is only strengthened as he says that he will not miss SummerSlam.

Mickie James deals with a complaining Emma in the locker room, who rants about her loss last week as well as her contributions to the Women's Revolution. Mickie James reminds Emma that she tapped out last week, and tells her to put her phone down and step in the ring with her. Emma tells Mickie James "you're on."

Bray Wyatt beats Finn Balor after pushing Balor off the top rope to stop the Coup De Grace. After the match, Bray hits Finn Balor with another Sister Abigail, then suddenly has a bucket in his hands. He then pours on the contents on Finn Balor: blood.

Mickie James beats Emma.

Finn Balor tells Charly Caruso that he has talked with General Manager Kurt Angle. Balor and Bray Wyatt will go at it again at SummerSlam. He says that Bray Wyatt has his demons, but Wyatt will soon find out he's got his demons, too.

The Miz vs. Jason Jordan end when The Miztourage (The Miz, Maryse, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) attack Jordan all at once. The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) rush in to make the save, and they and Jason Jordan soon clean house.

Jason Jordan and The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) beat The Miztourage (The Miz, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) in an impromptu six-man tag match.

Next week, Akira Tozawa celebrates his Cruiserweight Championship win. It is announced that there will be a rematch for the Cruiserweight Championship between Tozawa and Neville at SummerSlam.

General Manager Kurt Angle is in the ring. There is extra security around the ring for safety. Kurt Angle then introduces the four men in the Universal title match at SummerSlam - Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman. Lesnar shows up first with Paul Heyman. Heyman says that WWE is trying to get one last big moment out of Lesnar, and also says that no matter how much security is out in the ring, all hell will break loose. He says that Lesnar is willing to listen to ideas that don't include WWE, and that means that WWE and Kurt Angle have conspired against him, throwing all three top contenders at him at once in a match that assures a new champion. If any of them take Lesnar out, that means there will be a new Universal Champion, as anyone can get the victory and anything can happen. Heyman says, as a fan, that this concept sucks. He says that on the night Lesnar loses the WWE Universal Championship, he will have lost it to a man who had the guts to slay "The Beast," and that man will be able to hold the title high as he points at him and calls him the baddest man on the planet. He says that man, however, will not be Joe, who is 300 pounds and "desperate to steal the title to crawl back to his tribe as a demonstration of his warrior spirit." He says it will not be Braun Strowman, who despite being a monster among men will be a monster slayed by a beast. He also says it will not be Roman Reigns, as Roman's yard is in Brock's house as long as Brock is champ, and rent is due Sunday. Heyman then says one of two things will happen: The first is that one of the contenders will take the title from Lesnar, he and Lesnar leave, and at that point, the beast might as well be locked in a cage (a thinly-veiled reference to going back to MMA). The second is that Brock beats them all and Heyman will be able to say after fifteen years that he has undersold Lesnar's greatness. Samoa Joe shows up, says he has never feared Lesnar and still does not fear Lesnar now, and that he will rip the Universal title from Brock when he puts him to sleep in the middle of the ring. Braun Strowman shows up and says that he is always the last man standing...just ask Roman Reigns. Joe interrupts and reminds him that he choked Reigns out, and that Strowman barely stood up while he put Roman Reigns down. Roman shows up and hits Joe with a Spear. Strowman then hits Roman with a running power slam. At this point, the security around the ring finally gets in and tries to hold everyone back, but it is all in vain as Lesnar and Strowman destroy them all. The entirety of the Raw locker room has to keep both men apart as the show ends.

Here are the top 10 moments from tonight's show!
