Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for August 26, 2017

War Machine (Hanson and Raymond Rowe) beat Jay White and Jonathan Gresham. After the match, Punishment Martinez gets in the ring and attacks Jay White.

Caprice Coleman wonders where his stuff is, and asks the production crew where his bishop's chair and pulpit is for his "Coleman's Pulpit." When they have no idea, he tells them they have one week. Coleman says "Coleman's Pulpit" is where you will learn the truth, and the truth shall set you free, but just like The Rebellion, Ring of Honor is holding it back.

Q.T. Marshall guests on commentary for the next match.

It is announced that Jay Briscoe has been injured as a result of the steel chair attack from The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia, TK O'Ryan) and is therefore ruled out of next week's six-man tag match.

Josh "The Goods" Woods beats Shane Taylor with a schoolboy pin after the referee stops Taylor from using a steel chair. After the match, Taylor hits Woods with a splash, then does it again at the request of Q.T. Marshall, who heads to the ring after the match. Marshall then holds Woods up so that Taylor can knock him out, then Marshall pulls out an envelope. Taylor looks inside, and it is implied that there is money inside. He leaves with the envelope still in his hand, then Marshall places Woods' mouth guard on his back.

The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) admit that they and The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) are two of the most successful tag teams today, but it's not 2009 anymore. It is 2017, and they run this place. They hope the Machine Guns are ready for a superkick party.

It is announced that Minoro Suzuki will answer "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes' open challenge for the ROH World Championship at Death Before Dishonor. We then see Cody in the locker room, who immediately becomes frustrated and tells the cameraman to get out.

Kenny King says he never thought that he would be on The Bachelorette, and that now that he has been on the show, it has changed his whole attitude on how he looks at his career. Dealing with the challenges on the show and reassessing his life has brought a new self-awareness to him, and he has realized that he has not been performing to his true potential. When it was time to come back in, he was able to re-focus on himself, but when it came to the match with KUSHIDA, Bullet Club showed up and attacked him. He did not know if KUSHIDA respected him before they stepped into the ring against Bullet Club, but he knows now that he does. Now he has KUSHIDA for the ROH World Television Championship in his hometown, and he plans to show KUSHIDA everything he's got in Las Vegas, Nevada at Death Before Dishonor.

The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) for the ROH World Tag Team Championships ends when "The Almighty" Christopher Daniels makes a surprise appearance after quitting two weeks ago to attack both teams and toss referee Todd Sinclair. Kazarian also shoves a fan as he and Daniels make their way out of the ring.

Next week: Bully Ray and Mark Briscoe vs Bullet Club ("The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes and "Hangman" Adam Page) in a no-disqualification tag team match!
