NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III - The Live Results

Renee Young interviews Raw General Manager Kurt Angle. Angle says he is here to enjoy the show, and looks forward to the championship matches tonight.

Big E guests on the kick-off panel and reminisces about beating Seth Rollins for the NXT Championship, and says that with NXT, you get to adjust to a main roster feel, and what you are able to do in the ring in NXT, you can do on the main roster. He also comments on The New Day's (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) match against The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) as well as the NXT Tag Team Championships match between SAnitY (Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain) and The Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar).

Nakamura says he gotten calm for his match against Jinder Mahal already. As for Drew McIntyre vs. Bobby Roode for the NXT Championship, he is pulling for McIntyre as he agrees that NXT belongs to everyone.

Neville guests on the kick-off panel. He says he is not overly thrilled about being in Brooklyn, New York, but he is thrilled about taking the WWE Cruiserweight Championship from Akira Tozawa, and says that we can expect the dominance that we have already seen from him tomorrow night at SummerSlam. He says that NXT is part of the patchwork and the journey to where he is now, but he cannot look back without a little bit of resentment, as nothing came to fruition right away when he came to the main roster. He recognizes that he became a champion in NXT, but says he still had a lot to learn, and NXT prepared him for that. He expects Hideo Itami and Aleister Black kicks each other's head off, as he is not pulling for either man. He also admits that emotion is a huge part of the game, and all you can do is take advantage of it, but that it can be detrimental if not harnessed well enough. He says that Hideo Itami should exact a plan of very heavy strikes in his match against Aleister Black. As for Johnny Gargano vs. Andrade "Cien" Almas, all he sees is Gargano bouncing back after betrayal from Tommaso Ciampa, and tells Corey Graves "I know how that feels." He wants to know if Gargano can bounce back much like he did with Corey Graves. He also tells Johnny Gargano not to trust anyone.

Carmella and Sasha Banks guest on the kick-off panel. Sasha Banks says she has grown up in the business so much due to NXT, and she finds it amazing that she and some of the women on the main roster now come from there.

Renee Young interviews Becky Lynch and Bayley. Becky says it feels amazing to be back at the site of TakeOver: Brooklyn, and it is amazing how everything - including herself - has grown since then. Bayley says it feels like she never left, and says that the place has been very special to her since the match against Sasha Banks at the first TakeOver: Brooklyn. As for her shoulder injury, she now has a lot of motion in it now, and that she will get it checked out in a month. Bayley thinks Asuka's championship reign might continue, but Becky is pulling for Ember Moon.

Baron Corbin guests on the kick-off panel. He reminisces about his match with Samoa Joe at the first TakeOver: Brooklyn, which he calls his first big fight in NXT. He says that NXT has evolved since then. He also talks about how he had no experience in the business before walking into the WWE Performance Center, which has every tool you need to succeed in WWE, which he took full advantage of. He says that he owes John Cena a severe beating tomorrow night.

During the match, Eric Young takes Killian Dain's place in the match, and after Nikki Cross sneaks past both the referee and Paul Ellering to leap onto Akam, Killian Dain puts Akam through a table set up by Eric Young before the bell rang to start the match. After a double-team belly-to-belly backbreaker, SAnitY take the tag titles. After the match, Wolfe and Young are attacked by reDRagon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly).

The NYPD Emerald Society Pipes and Drums perform as Drew McIntyre makes his entrance.

Drew McIntyre beats Bobby Roode to become the NXT Champion! After the match, McIntyre is met by reDRagon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly) when he is suddenly attacked from behind by someone with long hair. That someone is none other than former 3-time Ring of Honor World Champion Adam Cole, and the three of them take the boots to McIntyre before standing together as a unit.
