Backstage, Jimmy Jacobs interviews Aiden Prince and Ace Austin. Austin says people want to see stars like him, not Aiden, and while it is an opportunity for Aiden, he tells Aiden to shut up, let him talk and be happy to be here. Aiden tells him to have fun on his own in the ring and leaves.

Backstage, Ace Austin asks Madison Rayne to be his tag team partner, but Rayne turns him down. Enter Stone Rockwell, who suddenly shows up and agrees to tag with him.
Michael Elgin and Willie Mack beat Ace Austin and Stone Rockwell to advance in the Impact Mash-Up Tournament.
We hear from Sami Callihan, who says that oVe (Callihan, Jake Crist, Dave Crist, Madman Fulton) have a plan for any situation, especially at Slammiversary. As for the Mash-Up Tournament, they have a game plan for that. Jake Crist entering the finals was one part of it, and the other part of it is winning with Tessa Blanchard so he can face her at Unbreakable for a World title shot. Sami then says it is time to implement "the Fingerpoke of Doom."
Backstage, Jimmy Jacobs interviews Taya Valkyrie, who states that she is not defending the Impact Knockouts Championship tonight and that Rosemary and Havok are "obsessed with her." When Jimmy Jacobs asks about Johnny Impact, John E. Bravo - who is nearby - thinks the question is about him.
