Generation NXT - NXT recap for July 3, 2019

Mia Yim beats Aliyah. After the match, Mia Yim tosses Vanessa Borne into the steel steps on her way out, then goes to the commentary table and tells "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler that her days are numbered and that she is coming for the NXT Women's Championship.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews General Manager William Regal, who states that Io Shirai did something dreadful to Candice LeRae. Suddenly, The Forgotten Sons (Jaxson Ryker, Wesley Blake, Steve Cutler) barge in. They state that Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) cannot make title matches, and demand one from Regal. Regal tells them they got disqualified and went back to the bottom of the queue when they had their chance. Jaxson Ryker tells Regal they won't forget this as The Forgotten Sons leave. Regal states that Street Profits have proposed that they defend the NXT tag titles against Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch next week, which he makes official.

In part two of Adam Cole's championship tour, Cole goes to Gargano's Subs. As he picks up an order, he places a autographed picture of himself next to a painting of Johnny Gargano before picking it up and leaving. Cole hints at the picture as he leaves, then heads to a wrestling school and tells everyone that even though they respect Johnny Gargano, Gargano is "full of crap" and got lucky against him. He tells everyone at the school that Gargano gave them a false sense of hope before telling them all to give up on their wrestling dreams and find themselves a new hero.

KUSHIDA beats Jeff Parker. The Hoverboard Lock is official renamed the Sakuraba Lock after Japanese MMA fighter Kazuchi Sakuraba.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Tyler Breeze, who says that The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong) say the same thing all the time and want to take credit for NXT. He says it is time to give them a refresher on "NX-Breeze."

Cameron Grimes beats Isaiah "Swerve" Scott to advance in the NXT Breakout Tournament.

Bianca Belair beats Priscilla Zuniga. (Zuniga is perhaps best known for her time in Impact Wrestling as Diamante.)

We see Matt Riddle incorporating MMA into his training in the gym as he talks about his MMA career before entering NXT.

Roderick Strong beats Tyler Breeze following the distraction by Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly.
