Generation NXT UK - NXT UK recap for July 31, 2019

General Manager Johnny Saint and Assistant Sid Scala welcome everyone to tonight's show. Sid Scala and Johnny Saint hype up NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff, then Imperium (Walter, Fabian Aichner, Marcel Barthel, Alexander Wolfe) shows up. Marcel Bartel tells them they are not in charge anymore and not needed any longer. Barthel then tells them to leave the ring before thy make them. Walter says that Imperium have already proved they are the #1 force in NXT UK, and that he wants to know who is left to challenge him. Tyler Bate's music hits, and Barthel and Aichner get on the stage. Tyler Bate shows up from behind and attacks Walter, starting a brawl. Referees and officials quickly rush in to separate both men. Sid Scala tells Walter that he finally has a challenger, and that he will defend the WWE United Kingdom Championship against Tyler Bate at NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff.

Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) beat Sam Stoker and Lewis Howley - now officially known in NXT UK as "Pretty Deadly". After the match, Mark Coffey says that NXT UK has been Gallus' (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgang) kingdom from the start, and they are setting out to make their biggest score yet. He warns Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake) that the NXT UK Tag Team Championships will soon be Gallus.

Backstage, Jordan Devlin confronts Assistant Sid Scala over an opportunity for the WWE United Kingdom Championship. Scala tells him that if he can beat Alexander Wolfe, he can get his opportunity.

In footage from earlier today, "Bomber" Dave Mastiff says Joe Coffey has a big mouth, and if he is looking for him, he is not hard to find. He has spoken with General Manager Johnny Saint, and next week, he and Joe Coffey will have a match and Coffey will get battered.

Rhea Ripley beats Dani Luna.

We see a video package concerning Kay Lee Ray vs. Toni Storm for the NXT UK Women's Championship at NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff.

We see footage from April 29, 2019, where Eddie Dennis tries to get his ruptured tendon put back together. He blames his injury on the fans who have no idea what wrestlers put their body through.

Backstage, Tyler Bate says he got what he came for, and tells Walter that if he thought he could take liberties with him, he is mistaken as he does not go down easily and he will take the WWE United Kingdom Championship from him.
