  • The Mack hits Johnny Mundo with a Stunner to close out the show

Generation NXT - NXT recap for May 31, 2017

The show starts with Tommaso Ciampa making his way to the ring on crutches. He takes the time to call Johnny Gargano out to the ring, as he owes him an explanation, but then realizes he is not here tonight. He asks the crowd if they want to see Gargano replaced, then says in the last two weeks, he has learned more life lessons than he has in the last several years. He then admits he was injured before NXT TakeOver: Chicago, but he knew he was ready to fight. He then accuses the fans of replacing Gargano with dream tag team partners on the night of TakeOver, and says he is not an afterthought. He put those thoughts aside, however, and told Gargano they were going to fight together, and admits they lost that night. During the match, he felt something in his knee pop and knew he would be out for a while. He put that aside and kept on fighting, and at the end, he looked at Gargano, then looked at the fans, and realized that Gargano and the fans are alike and that Gargano would replace him if given the opportunity. In that moment, he knew what he had to be done and made his decision. He blames the fans and Gargano for what he did, and if he had to go away for a long, long time, Gargano was going away with him. He says the fans ruined #DIY. He says it wasn't #DIY's moment or the fans' moment, but his moment. He is 32 years old, and for him, the ring is not replaceable, and he is not nor will ever be replaceable, as is Gargano. The fans, however, are replaceable, and says he doesn't need the fans and that he never needed them. He says he will be better than ever before and when he returns, he will be the most dangerous son-of-a-bitch in NXT, as he is professional wrestling whether the fans like it or not.

As Alicia Fox continues to talk about Rich Swann, Swann shows up with Sasha Banks, and Swann and Sasha call them "a hot mess." Swann and Sasha has a lot of similar tastes compared to Alicia and Noam Dar, and Alicia Fox says that at least she didn't get her "bootleg" weave done in Atlanta, Georgia. Sasha counters by saying "At least my track ain't showin', boo boo!" Alicia and Sasha have to be kept apart.

Noam Dar beats Rich Swann after Alicia Fox and Sasha Banks go at it when Alicia trips Swann from outside of the ring.

As Aries says he will make Neville tap out at xtreme Rules, Neville shows up and tells Aries he got lucky. He tells Aries he has no decorum, and that he is a disease on the face of 205 Live. At Extreme Rules, he will subject Aries to agony. Before Aries can respond to Neville, TJP tries to attack him from behind, but he eats a Discus Fivearm. Neville catches up and stomps Aries, then TJP and Neville double-team Aries. Neville then puts Aries in the Rings of Saturn, and TJP stomps on the injured knee until referees restore order to end the show.

He then introduces the guest for tonight, "The King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura. Before Nakamura can speak, Baron Corbin shows up and tells Nakamura that nobody cares what he has to say, then we see footage of Corbin's attack on Sami Zayn from last week. Owens tells Corbin he's beat Sami up for 15 years, and that Corbin has nothing to brag about before telling him this is his show. After Corbin calls Owens "Cartman" and asks Nakamura what he is laughing at, he says he will keep on creating highlights and become Mr. Money In The Bank. Nakamura tells them both they are forgetful, and reminds Owens that he pinned him last week before reminding Corbin that Sami beat him last week. Corbin gets in the ring, and Nakamura fights them both only to come out on the losing end until Sami Zayn makes the save. Sami tells Corbin their fight is far from over, and says the same of his rivalry with Owens. He then proposes a tag team match between the team of himself and Nakamura vs. the team of Owens and Corbin right now.

The New Day make it clear they want the SmackDown tag titles, saying "we likes them...and we wants them," but The Usos tell them to back off before they take them out back, Ol' Yeller-style. Xavier Woods then tells them that they have gotten with Commissioner Shane McMahon, and at Money In The Bank, The Usos will be defending the SmackDown tag team titles against them.

He says that he cannot return back to his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri for Money In The Bank without the WWE title, which he says he will win for the 14th time. Jinder then shows up on the TitanTron, and says Orton is just like every other ignorant American who talks of a bygone era and what once was. Raw Deal - Raw recap for May 29, 2017

WWE celebrates Memorial Day.

The show starts with Miz TV. Miz says he and Maryse are feeling good, then goes on to call Dean Ambrose a lying, cheating thief who stole the Intercontinental Championship from him and got himself intentionally disqualified in their match two weeks ago, hence why he asked for a match at Extreme Rules where the title changes hands on a disqualification and got it. If Miz wins this match, he will win the Intercontinental title for a seventh time. He then introduces tonight's guest: Sheamus and Cesaro. Miz says no two Superstars have worked harder and deserved to be Raw tag champs more than them. Cesaro says it is a shameful thing, but Sheamus says the most shameful thing is the fans turning on them when The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) showed up. They plan to get the fans back when they beat The Hardys and take back the Raw Tag Team Championships. Miz agrees with Sheamus and Cesaro, saying the fans do not understand the greatness that is in the ring, and sympathizes with them, saying that he went through the same thing when he elevated the Intercontinental title only for Ambrose to drag it into the mud. Suddenly, Ambrose shows up, and says that while he doesn't always make the best decisions, he just cannot help but think that somebody needs to shut "the three buttheads in the ring" up. Miz dismisses Ambrose as stupid, but Ambrose says he is far from stupid and brings out The Hardys. Ambrose and The Hardy rush into the ring and clear it out. This starts an impromptu six-man tag match.

Dean Ambrose and The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) beat The Miz, Sheamus and Cesaro. After the match, Corey Graves gets a text, and heads to the back.

General Manager Kurt Angle is reading an insulting and revealing text when Corey Graves meets up with him, having somehow gotten the text as well. Angle says if the text and the information within comes to light, it will ruin him.

"The Drifter" Elias Samson plays guitar and sings before the next match.

"The Drifter" Elias Samson beats Zac Evans. After the match, Corey Graves returns to the commentary table, and does not explain his discussion backstage between himself and General Manager Kurt Angle, saying that the matter was private.

Samoa Joe is watching footage of Finn Balor on WWE 24 when he is interviewed by Charly Caruso. He is analyzing Finn Balor to see how best to hurt him, and he knows Finn Balor very well. As he talks about Bray Wyatt, Bray Wyatt interrupts the interview with footage of himself on the nearby television. He tells Samoa Joe he is the devil he doesn't know, but he knows Joe. He can see the future, and it is him making "the beast" Brock Lesnar scram. He says only one can defeat the beast, and it is him. He tells Finn Balor and Samoa Joe to give in to their fear and run, as he is the one who will stand up and fight.

Samoa Joe beats Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt in a Triple Threat Match after Finn Balor hits Bray Wyatt with the Coup De Grace before Joe tosses Finn out of the ring and pins Bray off of Finn's handiwork.

Mike Rome interviews Seth Rollins, who faces Roman Reigns tonight. He has known Samoa Joe quite well for the past few months, but if there is anyone on Raw he is more familiar with than Joe, it's Roman. He says they've had both good and bad times, but when they are both in the ring, it is a war. He also says that he owns Roman Reigns, and tonight will be no different when he hits him with the knee. He then promises to win this Sunday at Extreme Rules.

Before the next match, Rich Swann brings out Sasha Banks. It is announced that Rich Swann and Sasha Banks will take on Noam Dar and Alicia Fox this Sunday at Extreme Rules.

Rich Swann beats Noam Dar when Sasha Banks stops Alicia Fox from interfering. After the match, Rich Swann wants Sasha Banks to dance in the middle of the ring, which she does.

Charly Caruso interviews The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder). We see the jaws on Dash Wilder's teeth, and Scott Dawson says they'll be back soon, as they haven't been on Raw since Dash got injured. They are then asked about the attack on Enzo Amore, which Dawson says he and Dash know nothing about, and we then see a video where The Revival are in the background during an interview with Sasha Banks, revealing that they were here last week, which implies that they may have been the ones to attack Enzo Amore. Scott Dawson admits that they were there that week, as well as nearly every week, but says that they were just doing "Top Guy things" before calling Enzo "a bottom feeder" that The Revival refuse to waste their time on. After this, Corey Graves says that he has seen footage of Enzo Amore's attack, then the show focuses on Akira Tozawa vs. The Brian Kendrick on last week's 205 Live. All of a sudden, Big Cass shows up and confronts Corey Graves over what he has just said, but Graves is able to talk his way out of it. He then shakes Big Cass' hand.

Titus O'Neil gets a quick win on Kalisto by grabbing the tights after a reversal of one of Kalisto's moves.

Alexa Bliss shows up to host a "This Is Your Life" segement involving Bayley. After talking about this Sunday's Kendo Stick On A Pole Match, the segment begins. We see Bayley's favorite doll from when she was two, a trophy for "Best In Sporstmanship," Slinkys, yo-yo's, Bayley in her high school yearbook as "Most Likely To Apologize," and three people from Bayley's past. One of them is Bayley's 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Flapper, who says that Bayley was a really nice girl with perfect attendance who always sat in the front row with her father, as she could not stand being away from him for long. The second guest is one of Bayley's old friends, Tracy Havelina, who says that other people would take advantage of her generosity, and that they were friends until she became a wrestling fan and never wanted to hang out with her after that. The third guest is Bayley's ex-boyfriend, Phil Johnson, who says that Bayley was a very nice girl and that the first date was okay, except for the fact that her dad was involved in everything they did, including an attempt at the first kiss. He admits that he dated Bayley just to get closer to Tracey, which is a surprise to Tracey, who always thought Phil was out of her league. Phil and Tracey then make out. Alexa Bliss then announces this is Bayley's life, then Bayley shows up. Bayley and Alexa brawl, but Bayley takes Alexa down and is about to go for the kendo stick on the nearby pole when Alexa takes her down, pulls one out from underneath a table and smacks it into Bayley's back.

Backstage, Enzo Amore has been attacked again. General Manager Kurt Angle says that The Revival (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson) are not responsible as he saw them leave the building, but Big Cass is not convinced.

Austin Aries and "Gentleman" Jack Gallagher beat TJP and Neville after Aries makes Neville submit to the Last Chancery following a missed Phoenix Splash from Neville.

Mike Rome interviews Roman Reigns, who says there is not a man on this earth who owns him, and that the only thing he cares about tonight is showing why he is "The Big Dog" and why this is his yard.

Charly Caruso interviews Neville, who has lost for the first time via submission since joining the Cruiserweight Division. Neville just angrily walks away.

We see a video from Goldust, who says that he is back in the director's chair. He says R-Truth knew he was too big for just a supporting role, and refused to let him shine like gold and held him back so he could hog the spotlight. He says he will soon put an end to that, and it will not be a happy ending. R-Truth has an answer video, where he says that where he comes from, movies were an escape, and that he has taken some inspiration from them. He tells Goldust he will strike down upon him with great vengeance and furious anger, and that he is gonna get got.

Sasha Banks will be on 205 Live tomorrow night.

Roman Reigns beats Seth Rollins.

Here are the top 10 moments from tonight's show!

My predictions for Extreme Rules 2017

Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins
vs. Samoa Joe vs. Finn Balor
vs. Bray Wyatt

in a Fatal 5-Way Extreme Rules Match to determine a #1 contender for the WWE Universal Championship

We have former WWE, Universal and NXT Champions galore in this match that dictates who is next to face Brock Lesnar. Place your bets, people.

My prediction: Finn Balor will probably take this one.

The Miz vs. Dean Ambrose (c)

for the WWE Intercontinental Championship; which can change hands via disqualification

The Intercontinental title can change hands on DQ on pay-per-view this month simply because Dean Ambrose kicked The Miz in the groin. Yeah, that's pretty extreme, all right.

My prediction: Miz is taking the title. By disqualification.

Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss (c)

in a Kendo Stick on a Pole Match for the WWE Raw Women's Championship

After losing the Raw Women's title to Alexa Bliss, Bliss has been taking the mere existence of Bayley personally, mocking her and her family and smacking a kendo stick into her back. Now Bayley is fed up...and has realized it's time...to get extreme...

My prediction: Alexa will probably retain.

Sheamus and Cesaro
vs. The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) (c)

in a Steel Cage Match  for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships

Seems rather unimpressive for a stipulation...until you realize that the Hardys faced Edge and Christian in a steel cage in 2000 and it got pretty hectic. At least we see the steel cage again...and get at least one Swanton Bomb from over 10 feet above the ring, too.

My prediction: The Hardys will probably retain.

Austin Aries vs. Neville (c)

in a Submission Match for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

Aries faces Neville for the Cruiserweight Championship...for the fourth time.

My prediction: Aries is taking the belt.

Sasha Banks and Rich Swann
vs. Alicia Fox and Noam Dar

in a mixed tag match

...and here we have the least extreme match taking place at Extreme Rules. At least Rich Swann has a partner here.

My prediction: Sasha Banks and Rich Swann are winning this one.

Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for May 27, 2017

The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) and "Hangman" Adam Page show up. The Bucks announces this is a new era for Bullet Club, and that nobody saw this coming unless they watched Being The Elite on YouTube. They then introduce Bullet Club's newest member: "The Villain" Marty Scurll. Scurll says that Bullet Club shocked the world at War of the Worlds, and knows that the Bucks love to throw a superkick party. Tonight, they plan to do something a little bit different: inviting the audience to a tea party with Marty. He asks security to bring out the tea, the cups and the crumpets, but instead of getting all that, he and the Bucks get Adam Cole instead. He asks why anyone would want a tea party with Marty when everyone would rather have "Story Time with Adam Cole." He confronts the Bucks for kicking him out of Bullet Club, says he is the three-time World champion, ROH franchise player and best pro wrestler on the planet, and says that Bullet Club has now made an enemy of him as well as the biggest mistake of their lives. Page says The Bucks may have run him out of Bullet Club, but he will run him out of Ring of Honor. Cole tells Page to give it his best shot.

Josh "The Goods" Woods beats David Starr with a knee bar.

We see a vignette for Punishment Martinez.

"The Last Real Man" Silas Young and The Beer City Bruiser show up. Silas Young mocks Jay Lethal, and doesn't get what is so good about Lethal, or what makes Lethal think he is better than him. He mentions that he has beaten Lethal in the center of the ring, but now Lethal wants to play victim. He says Lethal ran his mouth, and he shut it. Silas says he has known people like him all his life, and that he has his number just like all the rest. Lethal shows up, and Silas and the Bruiser leave the ring. Lethal tells Silas to get back in the ring, and wonders if Silas is upset that he cannot sneak attack him. He calls out referee Todd Sinclair, and challenges him to a match to see if he is "the last real man" like he says he is. Silas sics The Bruiser on him instead, saying Lethal doesn't get what he wants from him, and instead he will get what he gives him. Silas then guests on commentary for the next match.

Jay Lethal beats The Beer City Bruiser by disqualification after Jay Lethal and "The Last Real Man" Silas Young brawl outside of the ring. After the match, Silas and The Bruiser continue to work on the leg of Lethal, but Bobby Fish rushes into the ring with a steel chair to make the save.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes shows up. Before the next match, he talks about how Christopher Daniels fancies himself a ring general and managed to get the win in the recent Triple Threat Match at War of the Worlds. He then consults Colt Cabana, who says that Cody had Jay Lethal on his back in the Figure Four Leglock, consolidating Cody's belief that he should have won that match.

"The American Nightmare' Cody Rhodes beats "The Heavy Metal Rebel" Frankie Kazarian. After the match, "Hangman" Adam Page shows up and attacks Kazarian, but "The Almighty" Christopher Daniels rushes in to make the save.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for May 25, 2017

Bruce Prichard and Tyrus show up to start tonight's show. Prichard says he is an official within Impact Wrestling, and due to Ethan Carter III's actions last week, Tyrus is protecting him. After proclaiming that officials' security is not taken lightly, he says that EC3's actions are under review. He then focuses on the Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship, and calls out Lashley. Lashley says he is the most dominant competitor in wrestling today, and that he is the man to beat who cannot be beat. He then asks who his next opponent at Slammiversary is, but before Prichard can answer, Ethan Carter III shows up and says he will soon become a three-time Impact World champ. Magnus shows up and says that not only do his credentials speak for themselves, but that Lashley has never faced him. Magnus tells EC3 to shut up, then says he will become #1 contender again and become World champ. Suddenly, "The Cowboy" James Storm shows up and says he should be the one facing Lashley, then tells EC3 to shut up and says he'll beat everyone else up. Prichard stops him and makes a Triple Threat Match for tonight between EC3, Storm and Magnus, with the winner becoming #1 contender for the Impact World title at Slammiversary. However, if any of the three competitors lay a hand on each other before the match takes place, there will be no match and the offending parties will be suspended. EC3 then dares Magnus to hit him, but Magnus does not hit him.

Ethan Carter III says he will be winning the Triple Threat Match tonight.

KM and Kongo Kong beat Braxton Sutter and Mahabali Shera. During the match, Sienna and Laurel Van Ness chase Allie into the ring only for both of them to be hit simultaneously by a cross body from Allie. However, this allows KM to get a schoolboy pin on Shera after Kongo Kong hits Shera with a headbutt, and KM grabs the tights during the schoolboy to get the win. After the match, both teams brawl their way to the back, then Laurel Van Ness and Sienna trap Allie in the ring and attack her. Suddenly, Rosemary shows up, but instead of attacking Allie, she spits green mist into Sienna's face before bringing down Laurel Van Ness. Rosemary then stares at Allie.

Veterans of War (Wilcox and Mayweather) beat Falahh Baah and Mario Bokara to continue to the finals of the Global Force Wrestling Tag Team Championship tournament.

Magnus says it is time to forget the past and focus on tonight. He says that the Triple Threat Match is a cerebral match, and that he has the smarts to become World champ again.

Josh Mathews shows up. He asks Jeremy Borash to join him in the ring, which he does. Josh says he has made quite a few mistakes, and has righted a few of them as he is now a Vice President of Impact Wrestling and he must conduct himself appropriately. He apologizes to Jeremy Borash, and extends his hand. Before Borash can shake his hand, Joseph Park shows up and tells him not to shake Josh's hand, and then recaps what has happened between Josh and JB so far. This causes Josh to change his tune and show his true colors, saying he wants Park and JB out of his life and that he should be on commentary, not JB. As for who Josh's tag team partner, Josh says he will be revealed when the time is right. Park says he and Josh might as well go at it right now after Josh insults him and JB some more, and Josh is okay with this, even going so far as to ask for a referee, who shows up. All of a sudden, Josh's partner reveals himself: Scott Steiner, who has not been seen in Impact Wrestling in years. JB flees through the crowd, and Josh hits Park with a low blow. As Scott puts Park in the Steiner Recliner, Josh dares JB - who has returned from the crowd - to get in the ring. JB retreats again, and Scott Steiner tries to chase after him. Josh says the tag team match between him and Jeremy Borash is on.

We hear from Moose, who calls the Impact Grand Championship the #1 title in Impact. He says that the round system works to his advantage, and that holding the title has made him a better competitor.

Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Eli Drake, but it isn't long before Moose tries to get his hands on him only to be held back by security. Eli Drake challenges Moose for the Impact Grand Championship. and Moose accepts. Eli Drake then attacks Moose, as does Chris Adonis, who attacks Moose from behind.

Josh Mathews replaces Jeremy Borash on commentary for the rest of the show.

Eddie and Alicia Edwards beats Davey Richards and Angelina Love after Alisha gets a schoolgirl pin on Alicia. After the match, Davey Richards attacks Eddie, handcuffs him to the bottom rope and chokes him before pulling out a table, which Angelina puts Alisha through.

We see Rockstar Spud in bed, who says the doctors want him to wait one more week before he gets his hands on Swoggle. It is then revealed that he is at his mother's house.

Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown Live recap for May 23, 2017

The show starts with a police escort, followed by The Singh Brothers (Sunil and Samir Singh) rolling out the Persian rug for Jinder Mahal.

Commissioner Shane McMahon shows up to start tonight's show. In four weeks, at Money In The Bank, Randy Orton will have his championship rematch against Jinder Mahal. Also, the Money In The Bank Ladder Match will take place, with the winner getting a guaranteed contract for a shot at the WWE Championship. The five participants for this year's Money In The Bank Ladder Match are AJ Styles, Baron Corbin, Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler and Kevin Owens. When Owens shows up, he is told by Shane that he is not one of the five participants...but "The King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura is. Not surprisingly, Owens calls Shane out on everyone else in the match but AJ Styles won at Backlash, because he beat Styles at Backlash (even though Ziggler also lost at the event). Shane puts Owens in the match and makes him the sixth participant no questions asked. Corbin tells Owens to shut up, and tells Sami Zayn he has no chance and they might as well give him the briefcase. Styles tells SmackDown Live this is the house that he built, and regardless of who he's up against, he'll show them why he's the franchise player when he takes the briefcase. Sami Zayn says he has respect for what Styles has done, but as he says he's here for the same thing, Corbin tells him he's riding high on a fluke victory at Backlash. Sami tells him that victory is no fluke, and if Corbin wants to keep running his mouth, he has no problem making it double or nothing and that they don't need to wait until then. Ziggler says he has won the Money In The Bank Ladder Match before and cashed in successfully, and that he will be damned if he doesn't do it again. Nakamura tells Ziggler he may as well call him "Mr. Money In The Bank." Shane then puts Corbin in a match against Sami Zayn tonight, and Dolph Ziggler and Kevin Owens will take on AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura tonight, as well.

Becky Lynch and Charlotte beat Carmella and Natalya with a Disarmher to Carmella after Naomi kicks James Ellsworth off the apron.

We see footage of Sami Zayn being pushed out on a stretcher during the break.

AJ Styles talks with "The King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura backstage. Styles admits they have history, and tells him to follow his lead in tonight's tag team match. Nakamura tells him he will be winning the Money In The Bank Ladder Match and turning his house into his playground.

It's time for another Fashion Files. Just when Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) are about to clean out their desk and turn in their badges to Commissioner Shane McMahon, Shane puts them both in singles matches against The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) later tonight.

It's time for the WWE Championship celebration with Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers (Sunil and Samir Singh). Jinder Mahal says that the people booed him then for being different from them, but now they boo him for exposing them. He says that Randy Orton is on the decline - just like America - that he is already the greatest WWE Champion of all time, and that nothing will spoil his celebration, as this is about him as he celebrates for his people, for Punjab and for India. He then speaks in Punjabi, and then the celebration caps off with a massive amount of pyro.

We see another vignette of Lana dancing.

Tyler Breeze quickly beats Jey Uso as Jey is on the microphone and Fandango shoots at him with a water gun. Then, Fandango beats Jimmy Uso just as quickly as Jey chases after Breeze and a distracted Jimmy pulls off Breeze's wig, allowing Fandango the same schoolboy pin opportunity as Breeze. After the match, Breezango challenges The Usos to a SmackDown tag team title rematch, and after the referee talks with people in the back, the tag team title rematch is on.

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) retain the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships against Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango).

Commissioner Shane McMahon is met by Natalya backstage, who asks for a shot at the SmackDown Women's Title. Suddenly, James Ellsworth and Carmella show up, and Carmella wants a shot, too. Becky Lynch also shows up wanting a shot, as does Tamina and Charlotte Flair. Shane makes a match for next week, where the five of them will compete in a Fatal 5-Way where the winner faces Naomi for the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship at Money In The Bank.

Tonight on 205 Live: Akira Tozawa vs. The Brian Kendrick in a Street Fight! Kendrick says Tozawa has continuously disrespected him, but tonight is the last time, as tonight's match has no rules and that Tozawa will learn his final lesson.

"The King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles beat Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler.

However, he tells Finn Balor that he is "nobody's victim," but that he is not an underdog, either. Heyman calls Finn Balor the most talented in-ring performer in WWE today, then knows that he knows he treats Brock Lesnar the same as the rest of his Fatal 5-Way opponents, and wishes him luck at Extreme Rules as he knows he can take his opponents to the extreme, something he knows quite a bit about. Dasha Fuentes interviews Sami Zayn, who says he has asked for and been granted a match at Backlash against Baron Corbin, as Corbin is threatened by the fact he has done more than him. He is then attacked by Corbin, who tells him to either stay down or be put down this Sunday.

TJP announces that he is done with Austin Aries tonight on 205 Live.

Randy Orton beats Baron Corbin. After the match, Jinder Mahal shows up and tells Randy Orton to relish his victory and savor his time with the WWE Championship, for at Backlash, he destroys his pride, body and future. The Singh Brothers (Sunil and Samir Singh) attack Orton, but Orton is able to fight them off until Jinder Mahal attacks him from behind.

On Talking Smack, Erick Rowan wants a match with Luke Harper to teach Harper a lesson for leaving The Wyatt Family, as when someone leaves the Family, they leave him. Shane makes the match official for Backlash.

Here are the top 10 moments from tonight's show!

My predictions for Backlash 2017

Aiden English vs. "The Perfect Ten" Tye Dillinger

Well, at least we get to see these guys go at it on the kick-off.

My prediction: Picking Dillinger for this one.

Jinder Mahal vs. Randy Orton

for the WWE Championship

Well, isn't this something. Jinder Mahal managed to win a battle royal to become the #1 contender for the WWE Championship...and he's taking advantage of his time by stealing the title belt and posing with it and enlisting the help of The Singh Brothers (formerly The Bollywood Boyz). Now these two will finally meet, and this match will not be a cakewalk for either man...

My prediction: Randy Orton will probably retain.

Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango)
vs. The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) (c)

for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships

Breezango have won a Tag Team Turmoil match to become #1 contenders after not doing a whole lot in the tag team division. Now these unlikely contenders for the blue brand tag titles have their toughest opponents as a team in The Usos. Can they somehow perform the unthinkable, or will The Usos keep the titles on lock?

My prediction: The Usos will probably retain.

AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens (c)

for the WWE United States Championship

Kevin Owens has dreams of making SmackDown "The Kevin Owens Show," but AJ Styles has plans of keeping it as the house that he built. Now that Styles is #1 contender for the United States Championship that Kevin Owens has brought over to Tuesday nights, can Styles keep building on that foundation and add another title to his extensive career, or will The Kevin Owens Show be renewed and become the face of both America and WWE?

My prediction: AJ Styles will be taking the title.

"The King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura
vs.
Dolph Ziggler

Ziggler, jaded and jealous as ever of the newer talent coming in, has beef with Nakamura getting instant fan approval without even wrestling a match on the main roster. Now these two will finally go at it at Backlash in what will be Nakamura's main roster debut match after making the poster for the event so red it almost looks like a Raw pay-per-view.

My prediction: Nakamura is winning this one, no question.

Charlotte Flair, Naomi and Becky Lynch
vs.
The Welcoming Committee (Natalya, Carmella, Tamina)

When Charlotte Flair got switched to SmackDown as part of the Superstar Shake-Up and acted like she owned the blue brand, a few of the Women's Division stars did not take too kindly to that. When this new "welcoming committee" tried to get more people to join their cause, that didn't sit well with Naomi, and it sure did not sit well with Becky Lynch. Now Charlotte and two other SmackDown Superstars in the Women's Division have to calm this mob down before they can get even angrier...

My prediction: Charlotte, Naomi and Becky Lynch will probably take this one.

Sami Zayn vs. Baron Corbin

Ever since Sami Zayn has come aboard the blue brand, Baron Corbin has just been furious with him just for being successful...and Sami Zayn knows it. Now Sami wants a match with him just to put this to rest...but is Sami biting off more than he can chew?

My prediction: Corbin just might take this one.

Erick Rowan vs. Luke Harper

On the final Talking Smack before Backlash, Erick Rowan made a surprise, announced appearance where he showed off multiple sheep masks and showed his disappointment with Luke Harper leaving The Wyatt Family, saying that when someone leaves the Family, they leave him. Now that match is made official thanks to SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon. This is going to be an all-out war...

My prediction: Luke Harper might take this one.
