205:Alive - 205 Live recap for May 9, 2017
"Gentleman" Jack Gallagher shows up to start tonight's show. He talks about last night's post-match attack, then brings out the man who made the save, Austin Aries. Aries shows up and Gallagher thanks him before proposing a toast. Aries says a simple thank you should suffice, but Gallagher says honor dictates that he help him get to his title match in one piece. He then brings out two glasses of beer, but Neville shows up during the toast and calls the proceedings "pathetic." He says Gallagher is the symptom of a much larger problem, and that England has become a parody of itself. Aries says Neville is the last man to talk of dignity, and that he happens to like England. Neville says nobody asked for his opinion, and that he stands before him as King of the Cruiserweights after two failed opportunities. He then holds the belt up in the air as tribute to "Aries' last appearance on 205 Live" before Aries and Gallagher are attacked by TJP. This leads to an all-out tag team brawl, where Aries and Gallagher come out on top before finally having that drink.
Rich Swann meets Noam Dar backstage. Noam and Alicia Fox say they have the last laugh, and after Swann says they deserve each other, Noam Dar says Swann will get what he deserves, too.
Mustafa Ali beats "The Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese as Drew Gulak watches the match from backstage.
Ariya Daivari bumps into Akira Tozawa after chastising a man backstage for a shoddy boot polish job, then enters a room as Tozawa goes "hah, hah, hah" at him.
Returning soon: Cedric Alexander!
Akira Tozawa beats The Brian Kendrick after rolling through Sliced Bread #2 and getting the pinfall. Kendrick attacks Tozawa after the match, and sandwiches Tozawa between the steel step sections before stomping the top section into Tozawa. Kendrick then tells Tozawa he is through, and that this is the last lesson he will give him: "Nobody messes with The Brian Kendrick."
