Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown Live recap for May 30, 2017

Charlotte Flair says she is genetically superior to the rest of the blue brand's Women's Division, which is why she will win tonight's Fatal 5-Way Match. Carmella says she will take her opponents to school. Natalya will prove she is the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be. Becky Lynch represents the fighting Irish and says Naomi's days as champion are numbered. Tamina says it is high time that she got her chance and became the #1 contender for the SmackDown Women's Championship.

It's time for Kevin Owens' Highlight Reel. Owens makes fun of the fact that Chris Jericho never won a Money In The Bank Lader Match, then says that in three weeks, he will win the Money In The Bank Ladder Match to earn the contract to cash in a shot at the WWE Championship and become the face of the WWE. He then introduces the guest for tonight, "The King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura. Owens knows that mystery shrouds Nakamura, and tells him that the last person who thought he was a rock star was sent to an early retirement. Before Nakamura can speak, Baron Corbin shows up and tells Nakamura that nobody cares what he has to say, then we see footage of Corbin's attack on Sami Zayn from last week. Owens tells Corbin he's beat Sami up for 15 years, and that Corbin has nothing to brag about before telling him this is his show. After Corbin calls Owens "Cartman" and asks Nakamura what he is laughing at, he says he will keep on creating highlights and become Mr. Money In The Bank. Nakamura tells them both they are forgetful, and reminds Owens that he pinned him last week before reminding Corbin that Sami beat him last week. Corbin gets in the ring, and Nakamura fights them both only to come out on the losing end until Sami Zayn makes the save. Sami tells Corbin their fight is far from over, and says the same of his rivalry with Owens. He then proposes a tag team match between the team of himself and Nakamura vs. the team of Owens and Corbin right now.

"The King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura and Sami Zayn beat Kevin Owens and Baron Corbin following miscommunication between Owens and Corbin, which leads to Corbin knocking Owens down before Nakamura hits Owens with the Kinshasa.

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) show up. They brag about still being SmackDown tag champs, and says nobody goes as hard as them. Suddenly, The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) make their surprise return and SmackDown Live debut. Xavier Woods says that since they are now on SmackDown Live, they couldn't think of a better place to debut than Woods' hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. The Usos interrupt them before they can say much else, and welcome them to the "Uso Penitentiary" as they have the tag team division on lock. The New Day make it clear they want the SmackDown tag titles, saying "we likes them...and we wants them," but The Usos tell them to back off before they take them out back, Ol' Yeller-style. Xavier Woods then tells them that they have gotten with Commissioner Shane McMahon, and at Money In The Bank, The Usos will be defending the SmackDown tag team titles against them.

We see a video package about Jinder Mahal's WWE Championship win and subsequent celebration from last week.

It is time for Fashion Files once again. This time, the episode is shown in a film noir style. Fandango notices the door to the Fashion Department is ajar, and that the office has been ransacked. Suddenly, the silhouette of a woman is seen, but it is Tyler Breeze in disguise. They find a cologne bottle, and with that, their next case.

Charlotte Flair vs. Carmella vs. Natalya vs. Tamina vs. Becky Lynch to decide a #1 contender for the SmackDown Women's Championship ends before it can begin when all five women go at it both inside and outside of before the bell rings and Charlotte puts Natalya through a commentary table. Commissioner Shane McMahon shows up after all the carnage, and says all five women are so focused on being champion that the match did not begin. At Money In The Bank, all five women will wrestle to become #1 contender in the first-ever Women's Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) beat Primo and Epico after Breeze disguises himself as Carl the Janitor again and Fandango and Primo fight over a mop only for Fandango to let go so Primo falls right into an Unprettier.

Renee Young interviews AJ Styles, who is planning to build up momentum towards his win at the Money In The Bank Ladder Match. Dolph Ziggler interrupts, saying he is the only one in the Money In The Bank Ladder Match to win the briefcase and cash in, and says he'll do it again. Ziggler then asks Styles if he wants to go. Styles is ready. Ziggler says he'll see him out there.

Randy Orton shows up. He introduces himself to those who have been living under a rock for the past 17 years, and says that if his grandfather was still alive, he would slap the hell out of him for losing the WWE Championship to Jinder Mahal. Orton says he is going to take the WWE Championship back from Jinder, whom he says has earned nothing but an ass kicking. He says that he cannot return back to his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri for Money In The Bank without the WWE title, which he says he will win for the 14th time. Jinder then shows up on the TitanTron, and says Orton is just like every other ignorant American who talks of a bygone era and what once was. He tells Orton to behold the present, the future and the new WWE Champion: the modern day Maharaja. The Singh Brothers (Sunil and Samir Singh) clap.

Sasha Banks and Rich Swann announces that Sasha will be on 205 Live for the first time tonight.

Dolph Ziggler beats AJ Styles.

On Talking Smack, the war of words between Charlotte Flair, Natalya, Becky Lynch, Carmella and Tamina gets heavy.
