The Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn) beat FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) after Stokely Hathaway get chased to the back by Bandido and Gravity only for JetSpeed ("Speedball" Mike Bailey and "The Jet" Kevin Knight) to block FTR's escape route.

In backstage footage from after Dynamite, Renee Paquette interviews "The Protostar" Kyle Fletcher. Fletcher says he was excited, but thinks he should be more concerned after he considers Mark Briscoe deranged enough to do anything to him. As he says that being part of The Don Callis Family can be the best thing to happen to Mark Briscoe, "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada shows up and says that while Konosuke Takeshita is not here to support him, he is. He looks forward to the both of them being champions - and "Protokada" - after Full Gear.

"The Protostar" Kyle Fletcher retains the TNT Championship against Ace Austin.

We hear from Kris Statlander, who says that while Mercedes Moné has more than she does, she has more focus, and that the AEW Women's World Championship is not a side piece. She then says she will go through whoever she has to go through until Mercedes is focused on her, but even then, it will not be enough for Mercedes.

In backstage footage from after Dynamite, Don Callis and Kyle Fletcher meet with The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC, Daniel Garcia, Marina Shafir). After Callis shows pleasure with what they will do to Mark Briscoe, PAC says The Death Riders are done playing games and what he does to Briscoe is his prerogative. Callis then offers his services in case they need a favor, but Moxley makes it clear they do not need a favor from anybody.

TayJay (Anna Jay and Tay Melo) beat Hyan and Maya World.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Athena. Athena admits that she does not feel like a champion because she was pinned for the fifth time in five years because of Harley Cameron. She says that Harley is not special, and also blames Kris Statlander, Billie Starkz and Mercedes Moné for her loss. Athena then says that she will make a puppet out of Harley Cameron.

Jamie Hayter beats Skye Blue in the second women's Blood and Guts Advantage Match, forcing a third Advantage Match between Harley Cameron and "The Toxic Spider" Thekla. After the match, Julia Hart and Thekla show up and attack Jamie Hayter, but Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron arrive to even the numbers game. Security and referees both rush in to break up the brawl and restore order.

"The Toxic Spider" Thekla beats Harley Cameron in the third women's Blood and Guts Advantage Match to secure the one-woman advantage for her team.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews JetSpeed ("Speedball" Mike Bailey and "The Jet" Kevin Knight). Speedball says it is not over between them and FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler), and while FTR are challenging for tag team gold, they will both be in the Casino Gauntlet Match.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews "The Acclaimed." ("Platinum" Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) Anthony Bowens tells Max Caster that they are never coming back and that he is sick of it. He says that he will be at the Tailgate Brawl, as does Caster. Lexy Nair reminds them that shows do better when they are together, as per Tony Khan, but Caster says he feels insulted, as does Bowens, who wants his match cancelled.

It is announced that Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair will be at next week's Dynamite.

Roderick Strong beats Jon Moxley in the third men's Blood and Guts Advantage Match by count-out to secure the one-man advantage for his team. During the match, Marina Shafir trips Roderick Strong on the outside, and when Kyle O'Reilly shows up to confront her, Wheeler Yuta shows up and hits him with a chop block. Yuta grabs a chair while Shafir gets on the apron, but the referee catches both of them and ejects them from ringside. As this goes on, PAC attacks Roddy from ringside, then sets up a table. Roddy fends off PAC, and when Daniel Garcia shows up to attack Roddy, Roddy puts him through a table. Roddy ends up knocking Moxley out of the ring, and when Moxley tries to get back in, a hand reaches out from underneath and keeps Moxley from getting back in the ring, giving Roddy the count-out victory. Afterwards, the hand shocks PAC with a taser, and Darby Allin crawls out from underneath the ring. The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, PAC, Daniel Garcia, Marina Shafir) are at Darby Allin's mercy while Roddy hits PAC with a huge drop kick to the outside as the show ends.

Title Tuesday - Dynamite recap for October 8, 2024

We hear from Jon Moxley, who says that "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson has been trying to "kamikaze" himself for the last two years and that it has been disconcerting to watch. He says that nobody as of yet possesses the constitution to do it for him, and that as things have turned it up, it has to be him. He says that this is a wake-up call for AEW that nothing lasts forever, and that the fans are living in a fantasy world and will see the truth at WrestleDream. He says there is a dark side to Danielson, saying that Danielson in the ring is a beautiful thing, but when he is provoked, he is truly terrifying. Moxley says Danielson has never been truly comfortable with that part of him, and that as his world closes in around him, he will truly embrace his dark side, and he will be ready. Moxley says there is not enough people in the state of Washington to stop him and what he stands for, as The Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, Wheeler Yuta) is too powerful and no weapon can be formed against them. He says he will run into the mouth of war and beyond, and warns everyone to run while they can. Moxley then says that he hopes Danielson understands that it has to be this way, then says he cannot be worried about that now because they stakes are too high.

We hear from "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson, who says that tonight will not be his last match on Dynamite when he and Wheeler Yuta run through Claudio Castagnoli and PAC, and that Moxley that he has no idea of what is coming to him at WrestleDream. He says he has been a supporter and friend of Claudio for over twenty years, but tonight, there will be support; only him "kicking [his] fucking head in."

Jeff Jarrett guests on commentary this week.

Darby Allin calls out Brody King. Darby says Brody could have asked nicely, but he knows what he is doing. He brings up their history on the independents, the point that Brody King was at in his career while he was signed to All Elite Wrestle, and how he got Brody a job in AEW after ROH shut down. He says that Brody does not take AEW for granted much like he does, saying that both of their fathers retired and he was able to buy his parents a house. He then says Brody wants his spot as the face of the company, and says that he made it in AEW when he was the guy who was not supposed to make it. Brody says Darby is right, as he has everything he wants, but he does not take it for granted. He says Darby has a death wish, and asks what will happen if Darby were to go to Mount Everest and die, then says Darby can lie to everyone all he wants when he needs someone to save him from himself at the end of the day. Darby dares Brody to put him out of his misery and take his spot, even going so far as to egg him on as bluntly as possible, but Brody tells him to get up out of the corner. Darby slaps Brody, but Brody punches him back. Brody grabs Darby, but Darby hits Brody with a rock. Brody is busted open by the time security shows up, and Darby is still egging Brody on.

Don Callis shows up and meets with Jake Roberts, saying he has concluded the first ever management-to-management transfer in AEW history, and announces that Lance Archer is now with Callis. Hologram beats Komander in his Dynamite debut, and brings his undefeated streak to 14-0. After the match, Jake "The Snake" Roberts shows up on the stage, then both Hologram and Komander are attacked from behind by Rush, Dralistico and The Beast Mortos. As the three of them raise their fists in the air, so does Roberts, and it is revealed that they are now potentially under Roberts' management.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Mark Briscoe. Mark says "The Learning Tree" Chris Jericho has messed up and did not have to take things far, then tells him he does not want him in the place that he is at. He then says it is no longer about the ROH World Championship and that he is going to hurt Jericho.

Daniel Garcia heads to the ring. He says that it is great to see the fans and that he has missed being in the ring, then thanks Tony Khan for giving him this time. He says he has had time to think while sitting at home about what is best for him, and that he does not want to be a guy who does not follow up on his word or disappears without an explanation, and that he would rather tell everyone what he is going to do. Garcia says he can do whatever he wants, because he is one of the best professional wrestlers in the world, and because of that, it is only right that he stays where the best wrestle in AEW. Garcia then promises that the is not the same guy who gets "little bro'd" by everyone in the back and complains when he loses a match, but the guy who builds AEW and starts changing everything in the company, and he will start with gold around his waist. He announces to all champions that he is not safe, because they have what he wants, and that "the feeling is restored."

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Mercedes Moné and "The Brickhouse" Kamille. Mercedes says everyone wants to jump on "the money train," and says she has all the respect in Emi Sakura, especially when she has been wrestling longer than she has been alive, before snickering. She says it is not the first time she will throw a coin or the last, because money changes everything.

Backstage, Daniel Garcia is welcome back by the locker room, then runs into "The Wrestler" Katsuyori Shibata, who says that the TNT Championship will be around his waist before welcoming Garcia back.

During the match, Penelope Ford shows up for the first time in quite some time and attacks Jamie Hayter from behind with a chair, and Hayer chases her to the back. After the match, Willow confronts "The Glamour" Mariah May on the stage, and while she catches the slap, Mariah headbutts her before hitting her with the Women's World Championship.

Backstage, we hear from The Learning Tree ("The Learning Tree" Chris Jericho, "The Redwood" Big Bill, "The Bad Apple" Bryan Keith). Big Bill says the people who need lessons the most want them the least, then The Learning Tree meet with Rocky "Azucar" Romero to help him with his self-esteem, with Jericho saying that The Conglomeration do not have faith in him and that he still ended up on his back while his friends celebrated in the ring when they faced The Learning Tree. When Jericho asks Romero if he is a lackey, Romero says he is no man's lackey, but Jericho says they are just trying to teach him a lesson. Big Bill says that "When you're in the picture, you can't see the big picture." Bryan Keith demands that Jericho be respected as the next ROH World Champion, or else.

"Switchblade" Jay White beats Cody Chhun. After the match, Jay White says that "Hangman" Adam Page is one of two men who knocked him off his path to the AEW World Championship and is therefore one of two wrongs that he must right. He says that he made it very clear to Hangman last week, then asks what he is going to do about it, saying that Hangman will not be quiet about it and will be coming for him because he meddled in his business. Jay White says this is exactly what he wants, and that he wants Hangman in a match once more. He then says that when he puts an end to the new Hangman, then he will right the other wrong and move on to the gold. Jay White then addresses the same voices that have booed and despised him for years, saying they have willed "Hangman" Adam Page into existence, and says the road to the world championship starts with Hangman at WrestleDream.

Backstage, we hear from Hook, who says that he is done chasing whoever attacked his father Taz. Kip Sabian accidentally backs into him, and pleads that he did not do it and that he does not know anything before running away. Hook says he will be in the arena all night, then The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, "The Prodigy" Nick Wayne, Mama Wayne) show up, with Christian Cage asking if he has seen Sabian. Hook says he hasn't (even though he clearly has), and asks if Christian has anything to say to him. Christian says they are both family men who have "been through it this past week," as he has lost Killswitch to a serious medical situation last week and sympathizes with Hook on the loss of his father. The Partriachy leave.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews "The Glamour" Mariah May when Willow Nightingale attacks Mariah and says she has said enough before stating she has beaten three former Women's World Champions before saying she will make Mariah a former champ and become the new champion.

Mercedes Moné retains the TBS Championship and the New Japan Pro Wrestling Strong Women's Championship against Emi Sakura after grabbing onto the ring skirt, distracting referee Stephon Smith so that "The Brickhouse" Kamille can hit a cheap shot. After the match, Mercedes and Kamille are about to gang up on Emi Sakura when Kris Statlander slides into the ring and brawls with Kamille when Mercedes retreats. Statlander quickly gets the upper hand, and Mercedes has to hold Kamille back.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy). Stokely Hathaway shows up and says that Private Party has been knocking opportunities out of the park for the past two weeks, then says that he has taken down the most lovable person in All Elite Wrestling. Stokely says that if he can do that, then he can work wonders for Private Party, who he says all the tools and is just missing him. Marq Quen wants to know where Stokely was when they were suffering, then says "Thanks, but no thanks." Stokely leaves, then Isiah Kassidy says that for the first time in five years, they are making moves and doing it themselves, and that they need the AEW World Tag Team Championships. He says The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) are complacement, but they will put the chip back on their shoulders and take their spot when they become the new tag champs.

Tony Schiavone interviews Will Ospreay in the ring. Ospreay says that last week was supposed to be him beating Ricochet and moving on, but now they are equal because of "The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita. He says he has been a part of The Don Callis Family (Callis, Kyle Fletcher, Takeshita) and knows how they operate, and that he knows Takeshita does not do anything without Callis' go-ahead. Ospreay then calls Don Callis out, saying that they need to have a chat. Callis shows up, and when he goes for the hug, Ospreay wants none of it. Callis says that last week was difficult for him emotionally, and that he hates to see Ospreay unhappy. He tries to get Ospreay to remember the good times they had last year, but Ospreay is not having that either, and he demands that Callis tell him if he sent Takeshita out to attack him. Callis says that Ospreay is asking the wrong question, but Ospreay tells him to stop stalling. Callis says Ospreay does not need to know that, and as Ospreay demands that Callis stop dancing around his question, Callis finally flat out says that he sent Takeshita out of frustration because Ospreay would not listen to his advice, and that he had to show him who makes the decisions in the family. Callis then mentions the tag team title loss, saying Ospreay dropped the ball because he was too mentally weak to do what needed to be done. Ospreay says that if Callis would have kept his nose out of his business, he would have been a tag team champion as well as a world champion. Callis said he had the best wrestler in the world, but he threw him in the garbage for Ospreay, and that maybe he should throw Ospreay in the garbage. Ospreay says he cannot believe that he had any respect for him and calls him "utter scum" before telling him that they are done. Callis slaps Ospreay, and Ospreay drops the International Championship before grabbing Callis andthrowing him across the ring. Takeshita runs into the ring and fights Ospreay, and both men brawl before Kyle Fletcher pulls Ospreay away from Takeshita. Fletcher and Ospreay argue, and Takeshita suplexes Ospreay before Callis tells Fletcher to hit Ospreay with a screwdriver while Takeshita holds Ospreay down. Fletcher leaves the ring, and when Callis tries to stop him, Fletcher almost attacks Callis. Takeshita stands between them and tries to reason with Fletcher, but Fletcher walks off and Ospreay brawls with Takeshita again. Callis then grabs Ospreay from behind, and Takeshita knocks Ospreay out with an elbow strike. Ricochet shows up and attacks Takeshita as Takeshita holds up the International Championship, forcing Takeshita to retreat.

Backstage, we hear from Top Flight (Darius Martin, Dante Martin, Leila Grey) and Action Andretti. Darius says people keep asking them how they feel after losing number one contendership on Collision. Darius says they are pissed off, because they know they are better than the other two teams they faced and should be facing The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) for the tag team titles. Dante says that they beat The Young Bucks, and that there is no reason they should not have a title match. Andretti says there is a reason, and it is because they are not fired up and constantly complaining. Leila Grey butts in, saying Andretti is the reason as he constantly steps in and messing everything up. Andretti says he did what was best for them, but Leila says he screwed them. Andretti says they do not get it, and leaves. Dante says Andretti is "all go, no thinking," and that this will not stop unless they fix it.

We hear from "Scapegoat" Jack Perry, who says there is a lot to say about "The Wrestler" Katsuyori Shibata, as he is a legend and the embodiment of fighting spirit, but he wants to know if Shibata is still one of the best. He syas that Shibata lets his phone do all the talking, but he wants to have a conversation with him in his native language: violence. He says he wants to face the Shibata who almost killed himself in the ring because he was willing to fight that hard and wanted to sacrifice that much. He says that Shibiata may deserve the TNT Championship, but it is really about what Shibata is willing to take, then says the TNT Championship proves he is one of the best and dares Shibata to take it from him.

"The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson and Wheeler Yuta beat The Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli and PAC). During the match, PAC grabs the ring bell hammer, and as "The Problem" Marina Shafir distracts referee Rick Knox, PAC tries to hit Danielson with the hammer only for Wheeler Yuta to take it away. Claudio confronts Yuta, and Danielson locks in the Lebell Lock. Despite everything going on at the ring apron, the referee notices this, and PAC taps out. After the match, Jon Moxley tries to get in the ring, but Danielson sees him coming and fights him. Meanwhile, PAC boots Yuta off the ring apron. Danielson and Moxley take their brawl to the back as Shafir gives Yuta a beating, with Claudio and PAC joining in. Claudio then hits Yuta with the hammer as Shafir and PAC hold Yuta down, then Danielson and Moxley's brawl spills back into the ring. Shafir gets Moxley out of the ring as Danielson takes out both PAC and Claudio, forcing them and Shafir to retreat.

Bianca enters the ring while Becky is at a table near the ramp and Sasha is standing on the announce table. Becky says Bianca is feeling good about a losing streak before calling Sasha "a disco ball-looking fool" who attacked her from behind and could not get the job done before threatening payback. Sasha says Bianca and Becky are jealous her spotlight is bigger than either of theirs, but Bianca says Sasha should be concerned about signing the contract and that Becky got lucky, saying she is the common denominator in all of this. She says that she is in the ring and yet Sasha and Bianca don't want to be, and dares the two of them to get in the ring now. She then throws a chair out of the ring, then Becky flips her table and heads to the ring. As Becky approaches, Sasha attacks Becky from behind, starting a brawl in the ring. The brawl ends with Bianca lifting both Sasha and Becky up. Sasha escapes only to be knocked onto a table before Becky is slammed through her and the table.

He says Edge has not responded, and says he told Edge he would go to his house to get an answer. After stating that he did what he said out to do, he says that he has yet to get an answer from Edge. Roman puts his arm around Heyman and says he and his cousins both love him, and asks him to be the wise man like he always has and come clean about his involvement with Brock Lesnar. Roman then tells Heyman to admit that he was responsible for Brock Lesnar's free agency. Heyman says he is in a bad situation, as it will sound like he is spinning things, but he says that Roman saved him and made him counsel because he knew he was wise. He says that while he has been accused of much and guilty of even more, he has never been guilty of being stupid, and that it would be stupid to pull the trigger on their friendship and betray him to Lesnar. He says that Roman would not choose a stupid man as his counsel and that Brock Lesnar will be conquered, but Roman takes the microphone and tells him to look into the camera and tell Brock, not him, and that he will protect Heyman because he can. Heyman looks into the camera and gives Brock Lesnar credit for outsmarting him, then tells him that he has met his match in Roman Reigns, saying that Roman will walk in as tribal chief, fight as a tribal beast and come out the winner.

Backstage, Seth Rollins meets with WWE officials Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce, and Pearce reminds him that Edge was supposed to be here until he broke into his house. Finn Balor beats Cesaro to advance in the King of the Ring Tournament.

Backstage, Becky Lynch meets with WWE officials Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville, saying Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar have not changed the game like she has and that SmackDown is her domain. As Becky says that she has been put in a corner despite creating the best match possible and that she is the best, Sonya tells her that all she has to do is prove it to the rest of the world sign the contract. She does.

It is announced that next week's episode of SmackDown will be called Supersized SmackDown and will be two-and-a-half hours instead of the usual two, and will air on FS1.

Seth Rollins heads to the ring. Rollins says the time has come, and he demands Edge show up and answer his challenge, saying that Edge can name the time, place and stipulation and that they can have the match in his living room. When Edge does not show, Rollins asks what happened to Edge before saying that he ended him with one stomp in Madison Square Garden. He then says that if Edge will not answer the challenge, then it is an admission that he is not "Edge Light" and that he is better than Edge in every possible way, then says Edge is not only disappointing him, but the fans and his family. As Rollins says that Edge's daughters can no longer look to him as an inspiration, a black vehicle shows up backstage and Edge walks out of it to the ring. Rollins grabs a chair, but Edge hits him with a Spear and attacks him at the announce table, using Pat McAfee's headset as a weapon when it gets caught in the crossfire before going for a crossface with a metal rod from a chair. Rollins elbows out of it and escapes, then Edge says "You...me...Hell In A Cell."

Triple H says that 25 years is a long time to climb a mountain, but the mountain is climbed because it is the most difficult of all. He says he and Shawn should be standing at the summit, but the avalanche that fell on them after Saturday night made them both question if that mountain was a lie. We then see footage from Triple H vs. The Undertaker at Super Show-Down as well as the aftermath. Afterwards, Triple H says that "respect" is a word that has lost its significance as of late, and that it takes a lot to earn his and Shawn's respect. Triple H says that respect, to him, is sticking to your word when everyone else tells you not to, fighting side by side with someone like a brother, and being taken under the wing of one you idolize and making the most of it. Shawn says respect is sometimes given to something someone used to represent, and that the flight back home was "a long time to think" about the last eight-and-a-half years that he had sat there and honored his word out of respect that never existed at all. Shawn then says he heard the three words he never thought he'd hear again, which Triple H states: "Are you ready?" Triple H then asks the same of The Undertaker and Kane come Crown Jewel, and Shawn says "D-Generation X is ready!" Shawn then announces that he says this with no respect at all: "If you ain't down with that, we got two words for you...suck it!"

During the match, Lio Rush coaches Lashley through a live microphone, and Rush eventually distracts Owens so that Lashley can trip Owens off the top rope before hitting a cutter for the win. Rush says his words and Lashley's power together is "too sweet," then he and Lashley leave.

Elias is in the ring. Elias says that when the legends speak of WWE, they speak about him whether they want to admit it or not. He says that one man who knows this is John Cena, as Cena knows that WWE stands for "Walk With Elias." He says that the circumstances that led to how things ended at Super Show-Down were not his fault, then proceeds to perform a song about it. Elias sings about how he was distracted by Cena's hair and Australian accents, and how he was sent to Chicago, Illinois, which he makes fun of along with Australia as well as the Chicago Cubs losing the MLB playoffs. All of a sudden, "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey shows up for the next match.

"Rowdy" Ronda Rousey and The Bella Twins (Brie and Nikki Bella) beat The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan) in a Super Show-Down rematch with an arm bar to Ruby Riott from Ronda Rousey after The Bella Twins keep Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan from breaking the hold. After the match, The Bella Twins suddenly blindside Ronda Rousey and proceed to attack her, and referees have to break up a brawl that ends in the Bella laying Ronda Rousey out. Team B'N'B (Finn Balor and Bayley) beat Mahalicia (Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox).

In the locker room, Dolph Ziggler says that tonight, he, Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre will take down The Shield tonight. Drew says everyone knows what they need to do, but they are tired of Dolph calling the shot after getting pinned Saturday. He tells them to put The Shield down for good and to stop making excuses.

Backstage, Heath Slater asks Acting General Manager Baron Corbin for a chance to take part in the Global Battle Royal, but Corbin tells him "You're not any good."

The match then starts.

The Conquistador wins the Global Battle Royal after taking a nap outside of the ring without eliminating himself, making him an instant part of the final two in the match. He manages to hit a few German suplexes followed by the Angle Slam, then clotheslines Corbin out of the ring to win the match and become the second man to enter the WWE World Cup. He then unmasks to reveal that he is Kurt Angle.

She calls her "Moment of Bliss" a "Moment of B.S." and says she is here to enlighten her with a moment of Stratusfaction. Alexa Bliss and Mickie James both show up. Alexa says only "the dullards" care what Trish has to say, but Trish says Alexa came up short in the math department before making fun of her height. Alexa says she gets that Trish is a legend, then tells her that she sucked in WWE. Alexa tells Trish that she would have been an afterthought if Alexa got in the ring with her at the time and that Trish would have been in her shadow. Trish challenges Alexa to get in the ring with her right now. Alexa and Mickie get in the ring, but Mickie says this is not happening here as the fans do not deserve it. She then says nothing good ever happens in Chicago, Illinois. Trish tells Mickie to protect her "bestie," and that at Evolution, she and Alexa will find out what a Hall of Fame beatdown feels like. Mickie then proposes Trish vs. Alexa be a tag team match. Trish likes the idea, then ponders who to team up with before Lita shows up. Both teams brawl, and Trish and Lita quickly come out on top. Lita almost hits Mickie James with a top rope moonsault, but Alexa gets Mickie out of the ring.

We hear from The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns). They tells Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre that they don't break and that they are a brotherhood, and that while they think they have done some bad things, they are the real bad guys.

He says this is just how things are done in WWE to put smiles on the fans' faces, then says that Brock Lesnar is not here and not even watching the show tonight, as he is resting to train at home for Crown Jewel. Heyman promises that Lesnar will be the only one entering Crown Jewel with the individual goal of becoming Universal Champion, as Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman are both part of a team. He says that because of this, he can promise that Lesnar will become WWE Universal Champion again.

For her last words, Charlotte says the Flairs are better than the Harts.

Bobby Roode shows up to start the show, and says he will not give up on his dream to become world champ again. He calls out Lashley, wanting his answer...and gets MVP and Kenny King instead. MVP says it again: no. Roode says he'll do whatever it takes to get another shot at Lashley. Kenny King hears this and decides to take advantage of that, as does MVP. MVP then tells Roode that if he can beat him and King in the same match tonight, he gets another shot at Lashley and the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. But if Roode loses, he can never compete for the World title again. Bobby Roode accepts the challenge with little hesitation.

Extreme Nation - ECW on TNN recap for October 8, 1999

The show starts with Paul Heyman advertising an interview with Tammy Lynn Sytch (formerly Sunny), which plans to blow the roof off the wrestling industry by describing the trials and tribulations of being a female superstar in the wrestling world in the late 1990s. Joey Styles goes so far as to say that this interview is an exposé. We then see Sytch in action at ECW Arena in August 29, 1998, followed by a short video package of Sytch.

In a replay from Anarchy Rulz, Tajiri beats Super Crazy and Little Guido in an elimination three-way dance.

We see the interview with Tammy Lynn Sytch. Sytch says that at the now-defunct Smokey Mountain Wrestling, "we felt like we were really cool, we felt on top of the world at that moment." In the WWF, she received her big break became Sunny, and quickly rose in popularity, receiving fame and adulation. We got back to Sytch, who mentions that there is a whole website dedicated to her feet, and says there are better parts of her than her feet to look at (although she admits she likes her feet). However, fame took its toll. Sytch says there are many reactions to the pressure put on her, and prescription drug abuse was one of the worst. She took Soma - also known as Carisoprodol - and says drugs were very easy to come by. One of her friends even died from mixing Soma with alcohol. That friend was Louie Spicolli, who had a fun night with friends when he combined Soma with alcohol, then went back home, went to sleep and never woke up aside for one time at six in the morning to turn off his answering machine before choking to death due to the paralyzing effect from combining Carisoprodol with alcohol.

In a replay from Anarchy Rulz, Lance Storm beats Jerry Lynn with a three-quarter nelson grapevine pin after Jerry Lynn can barely stand. During the match, Dawn Marie stops two pinfall attempts by Jerry Lynn, one by dropping a chair on referee John Finegan and the other by placing Storm's foot on the rope.

We see more of the interview with Tammy Lynn Sytch, who says that she was considered "old" by 1997, even though she was only 24. She mentions how she was known as "the Kliq chick," since she was nice to the Kliq - Kevin Nash (Diesel), Scott Hall (Razor Ramon), Paul Levesque (Hunter Hearst Helmsley), Shawn Michaels and Sean Waltman (The 1-2-3 Kid) - and they were nice to her, and she even made their hotel reservations for them. She preferred to be pushed on her own talent instead of whom she is friends with, dating with, sleeping with or eating dinner with, and that she would rather be herself and pushed as what she does and how she can do it. When she left the WWF, it was like a weight was lifted off of her shoulders, as she felt she could relax, have a home and relax, but she felt she wasn't there yet and that she was digging a deeper hole for herself. She was too relaxed in her environment to the point that she had her first drink at home, because she didn't have any pills to get her to go to back to sleep. There have been times that when her dad and niece died, she wanted to be with them. Her niece Stacy was only 16 when she died, and when she went to the hospital, she was on life support. When he held her hand, Stacy went cold and she could not let her go. There were some nights when she hoped she would not wake up the next morning, and says it was the worst feeling in the world to know that you don't care if you wake up the next morning. The interview ends with Sytch you can talk about your Sables and your Debras, your Nitro Girls and your Dawn Maries, but she is going to set the standard by which every girl in the business in the world again, because she is alive and she is back.
